Excerpt:

When Azura arrived at the Amazon encampment, two guards barred her entry.

Standing her ground and dressed in Amazon regalia, her face painted with a henna depiction of a successful battle, feather headdress, shield, and spear, she said, “I demand to see the queen.”

The taller guard said, “That’s not happening.”

Azura pounded the shaft of her spear on her shield before she drove it point first into the ground at the guard’s feet. They were not going to fuck her around. “By the right accorded me as an Amazon warrior, I call for an audience with my queen.”

She knew what she was doing. What she had uttered was a formal ultimatum, the words inscribed in law, to meet with the leader of her breed, a request that could not be denied.

The guard, quiet to this point, curled her lip in a snarl, eying Azura with a bit more fear. “Follow me. If you try anything funny, I’ll take you prisoner.”

“Believe me. I’m not feeling very funny. And don’t think you two can take me down. I’m a first-degree warrior. You’re not.”

They had the good sense to recognize her status and shut up, leading her to the queen’s office in the government building. Once escorted inside, Azura bobbed her head, her deference minimal. She held out the sheet of paper. “My demand in writing.”

The queen pushed back her chair. It squeaked with the movement. Tapping a pen on her desk, she said, “Mind your manners, Azura.”

“Believe me. My manners at this moment are impeccable. If I showed how I felt, you’d be aghast.”

“Don’t be so dramatic.” The queen waved her fingers. “Gimme. Gimme.”

Once Azura handed her the request, she scanned the note. “Your plea is most irregular.”

The Artist’s Firebrand is the seventh book in The Blood Coven World series. The Artist’s Firebrand is the story of Azure and Van who are brilliantly written and expertly executed throughout the book. I absolutely adored getting to know both Azure and Van as well as witnessing their story unfold before my eyes. I couldn’t, well I should say that I absolutely did NOT want to set this book down because the story was that captivating for me as a reader. The Artist’s Firebrand is an ease to read, has phenomenal characters, an amazing storyline, entertaining/enjoyable to read, romantic/steamy, definite page-turner, suspenseful, and a happily ever after for Azure and Van. Author T.M. Smith continues to take me by surprise with their amazing storytelling and writing skills when creating these amazing paranormal romance stories. The Artist’s Firebrand is most definitely a book that I would give as a suggestion to anyone who loves reading paranormal romance stories. I’m looking forward to reading more amazing books from this series.

This is the fifth book I've read written by T.M. Smith; I can’t wait to read more of her books. This is the seventh book in the Blood Coven World Series; it is a stand-alone short story. The story is about Azura & Van.

The artist's firebrand

Although this is completely different than anything I would normally read I found that I really enjoyed it. I've never read anything about Berserkers or Amazon before. Azura and Van had a one-night stand. Then 7 months later she shows up on his doorstep pregnant. But the last stage if it's a girl the baby says it's the mom if it's a boy the baby stays with the dad and raised in their separate villages but that's not what either of them want.

I enjoyed this story very much. The storyline was interesting and intense. Azura ends up at Van's house seven months pregnant, telling a shocked Van that the baby is his. At first, Van doesn't believe her, but she finally convinces him the baby is his. They live with each other because they want to raise the child and not give the child to the Amazons or the Berserker clan. They had to go through the Council to get their babies back after they were kidnapped by their parents. They start a new tradition by raising their kids. I loved the characters of Van and Azura as they learn to live with each other. Great Story.

Azura and Van had one wild night together. Even after several months Van can’t forget her. When she shows up on his doorstep he is not going to miss the opportunity to keep her especially since she is pregnant. Love their banter, spicy times and sweet connection. They so deserve their HEA!!

This is Van,a firebrand berserker and Azura, an Amazon and artist's story. It starts with Azura arriving at Van's door to drop a bombshell seven months after they had hooked up. After the shock of an unexpected pregnancy wears off an unconventional proposal is made. They will live together and raise their offspring together. But this goes against berserker and Amazon customs. Will they get their HEA or will their respective clans tear them apart. Check it out to see.

This is a new story in the Blood Coven World. It is a short and quick read in the series. It is also, steamy, entertaining and a fast paced story with some danger, suspense and good twists. The story is about Azura and Van. This is a very enjoyable addition to the series that can be enjoyed as a stand alone read. This is such a fun series that is so good. This is intense with some good passionate bits. Very addicting series.

Van is a Firebrand and a Berserker. He is also hot as heck and knows it. lol. Azura is an Amazon and an artist and she shows up months after their hook up… with a big surprise. It takes a while for Van to get it thru his thick skull. lol. She is very pregnant. Usually, an Aeternal has to decide to release their eggs or sperm, so the fact that they both did is shocking for him. Her snarky attitude is hilarious and he just keeps on stumbling while speaking to her. However, both of them don’t want to do what their kind does with children- an Amazon takes only the girls and they are brought up at the village by all. A Berserker takes the male, and they are brought up by all as well. At five the children begin to truly train in the use of their powers, fighting, etc. Finding out more about the different types of Aeternals is always fun. Van talks her into staying with him until the birth. They are hilarious as they are so drawn to each other and she is so against being with him again… lol. Boy, the steam that comes off those two! So needed my AC! Meeting Tiggy- omg. After the birth, things go to heck really quickly. I knew it was going to, but I didn’t expect what happened. I cried, a lot during this book as I got really upset. I loved how much of a parent both Azura and Van are. I’m glad of the compromise. I can’t wait to see what happens next and I hope we get to hear about some of the stuff that happens about Azura and Van next.

I am so excited everytime a new book from this series comes out. It was hard to follow at the beginning of the serie because of the new world and all the different species that I didn't know, but it a wonderful fantasy world. In this story the main characters fight to get new norm from their species' rules. They want a family and not only to procreate. Love it!

Van’s and Azura’s one night stand ended up with Azura getting pregnant and they decided to both be parents to their baby because their backgrounds were the same both were brought up without love they swore that they wouldn’t let their baby grow up without love but the council believed differently so will these two fight for their baby and their love?. I loved this story and the characters and their passion that they shared and I highly recommend reading this book.

A short well written story with a good storyline, strong characters and a happy ending. Amazon and artist Azura storms back into berserker Firebrand Van's life. A forbidden love, second chance, steamy, suspense filled story. I found their story to be well worth reading.

A Steamy Pairing! Van was shocked, he was going to be a daddy but he was determined to break traditions of both Berserker and Amazon law. Another great addition to this series, a second chance romance full of humor, fun, steamy moments as they both embark on a life together but not without their troubles! Azura had a little surprise for him and when both their worlds are rocked, they needed all the help they could get to overcome traditions that were centuries old.
