“Then bring out the bride and let’s be done.” Dom curbs his language in lieu of the priest. What man doesn’t hope his worldly sins will one day be forgiven, despite how dark and many layered ours are?
Sebastian smirks, reaching out to the bundle of black fluff I took as a potential mother-in-law who mistook the occasion as a funeral. He yanks at the veil, ripping it clean away from the girl’s head in a twisted parody of the motion that should be my duty.
Raven glossy locks tumble free over slim shoulders that know the shape of my hands. Green eyes the color of dark, exotic jade shot through with sunlight like windows into our souls.
Willow.
Fuck my life, because the girl I dreamed about is the girl I’ll marry under duress. I can’t tell whose eyes are wider as we take each other in.
The corner of my lip quirks but she shakes her head frantically. Raven black hair I last remember coiled around my fingers flashes against her black wedding gown, a confection of black lace I just know she chose herself. Maybe she hasn’t been as forced into this as I assumed.
Even Dom catches himself, swaying at my side as he reaches for the fluttering veil before it hits the ground, but lets the material drift through his fingers instead.
But clearly she doesn’t want her piece-of-shit uncle to know just how … close … we are. Tommy’s comment about her virginal status echoes around my head. They don’t know.
The power unconsciously shifts in my head and I stand taller, glowering at Sebastian and ignoring the trembling girl at his side when all I want to do is wrap her in my arms and use the altar as a fuck pad to bury myself hilt-deep and finally claim her as mine.
Screw the priest. I can beg forgiveness later.
“What’s this?” I gesture at her while keeping my hard gaze focused on Hernandez. If I look at her, he’ll know, and I need to get her away from him and strapped into my car before I’ll be able to breathe properly.
“This is your winnings,” her uncle sneers. A drop of saliva flies from his lips and settles on my suit jacket.
I look down at the glob that trickles its way along my front without a single change in my expression. Shrugging my shoulders back, I drop the jacket along my arms. The material slides free and as Dom catches it one-handed I give him a single nod.
The man bursts into action at my side. A flurry of black silk blend and hard-won muscle and Sebastian is on his knees at Dom’s feet, one of my man’s prized matching pistols pressing to the back of Hernandez’s head.
I wrap my arm around Willow’s lace-encased skin and yank her unceremoniously against my side without so much as looking at her. Must hold up the facade. But hell, it hurts me to touch her this way. “Shall we get on with it? I have three more meetings after this one.”
I fix the priest with a bored stare, praying the lie isn’t written across my face. I cleared my day’s schedule in lieu of looking after my new bride … or laying down the law, depending on what comes first.
Risking a look at Willow, I finger the chain hidden away in my pocket and tighten my hold on her until she gasps. But not with pain. Because all I feel right now is high on the possession of her.
She’s mine.
And my God above, will she pay with my hand on her perfect, round ass for walking out and not letting me care for her that night.
A mafia arranged marriage, ambushes, kidnappings, gun fights, some serious steam, but most of all love. The writing is superb, and the characters are cunning, ruthless, powerful, and lethal. The story holds your interest and unfolds with each turn of events.
Willow is a “butterfly, chained” to her uncle’s machinations, but with her brother’s life used to manipulate her into carrying out his plans, Willow has no choice. Little did she know that the one time she was able to escape her uncle’s clutches, to enact her forbidden fantasy, that this hot encounter would be the basis for the mistrust she is now forced to endure daily with the very same man now made husband…after her uncle sold her to him. I sunk right into this story with Willow’s character and enjoyed the developing dynamics between her and Rafe as well as in his household. Looking forward to the next installments of this series!
This book was amazing and as I read it it just pulled me in. The angst and drama were just perfect and chemistry that was simply wonderful. Highly recommend and can’t wait to see where it goes from here
This is Book 1 of The Desecrated Love Trilogy It ends on a HRN ending. Willow runs from away her cruel demanding family and goes to a nightclub with the idea of having a one night stand which she does..with Rafe. Their chemistry was undeniable. After that Willow's family demands her return and treats her cruely and sells her off in marriage. On the wedding day to her surprise it is Rafe that she is sold to! Read the rest of their roller-coaster ride to love full of drama and steamy moments. I can't wait to read Book 2 and see the rest of the story unfold. Great start to the Trilogy!!
Willow's life has changed so much, her uncle killed her parents to take over his empire and now he is forcing her to marry the Gallo heir. She sneaks away to Cypress and has an one night stand, to give the man something she does not want to give her forced up her husband. Imagine the surprise on the wedding day when she finds out who her husband is. This is a twisted story, Willow faces a lot of abuse from uncle. Mistrust and secrets cause the rough interactions with her husband.
This is book 1 in a trilogy and I have to say that I cannot wait for book 2. I have to see what happens next. I was hooked from the beginning. This book has plenty of drama and romance.
This was an engaging series opener and I have to say, it was a one-sit read for me. I needed to know how things were going to unfold ;) Told in dual POVs, the chemistry between Willow and Rafe was off the charts hot. Expect to be madly flipping pages when you dive into this edgy story filled with secrets, action, betrayal, abuse, power, acceptance and love. So well done!
The start of the Desecrated Love Trilogy series once you start this you won’t stop until the last page has been turned (beware of the triggers) so make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) ?. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Willow has been through so much her life hasn’t been easy through it all her strength shines doing what needs to be done for her brother who she loves despite what she has had to endure coming back to America to learn her uncle who isn’t a nice person has found her brother using him to force her into a marriage after he sold her to the Gallo family to a man who really doesn’t want her and doesn’t trust her but she doesn’t trust him either. Rafe sexy as all get out soon to be a husband to a woman he doesn’t trust, he isn’t a nice man if on the wrong side of him, ruthless on most days, deadly every day, and like most mafia men doesn’t admit they have fallen in love until they have almost lost the one, they love. The rollercoaster rides these two embark upon is a ride of mistrust, miscommunications, a few lies on both their parts but also discovery, love, true feelings, and what they will do for the ones they love so when those who mean them harm come for them will they stand together, will they be honest about their feelings, will her uncle get what he deserves (hopefully so), will he understand the scars on her body inflicted on her by uncle, his guys, will they get to her brother in time, and can they find happiness these two deserve it?
This is a wonderful story, a mafia story with a German star and a psychological edge to it. The structure of this story will keep you glued to your book and you won't be able to turn the pages fast enough. There is drama, violence, action. danger, tension and hot moments. I recommend this book because I loved it and can't wait to see what the author comes up with next.
So many twists and turns I’ve got to say I could not put this book down. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Willow has been on the run from her uncle with the sole purpose of losing her virginity as he is going to force her to marry a man of his choice. So she finds herself in Cyprus at a club, and this is where she meets Rafe. Rafe is not happy. He has been summoned home by his father with whom he has a difficult relationship. You see he is The Don! is the boss and Rafe must do as he is told. So on his last night in Cyprus He sees a girl on the dancefloor and tells his head of security and best friend Dom to bring her to him, but he gets a surprise when he finds out, she had been a virgin, but she tells him not to stop. He knows there’s no future there, but he is captivated by her beauty and her green eyes. The next day he is returning home to where he finds he is to be married. Willow receives a message. Her uncle has got a private jet for her to return home , if not, he will start sending her body parts of her younger brother. Willow will do anything for her brother so she returns home and gets a discipline that she will not forget. She is told she will be married and to get a wedding dress, but she never imagined for one moment when she entered the chapel it would be Rafe who was seen to be her husband, but what is to become of them. And that’s all I’m saying. This book had me gripped. I could not pit it down and had to read it in one sitting. It just kept me on the edge of the seat. There was so many twists and turns and lies and secrets. And it’s no secret these two share a passion for one another, but will that be enough or is there something else at play?? I cannot wait for the next book in this series. I just pray we haven’t got long to wait. An excellent read.
This book is thrilling and kept me on the edge of my chair. It is engaging and have you guessing what is going to happen all throughout this book. It is a descriptively well written book that had me connecting with the characters.
This is a romantically dark and steamy read. Rafe and Willow are both to be married to an unknown in an arranged marriage. What follows is dark and gritty, steamy and spicy, and full of lust and eventually love.
Rafe and Willow. Her uncle killed her parents and wants to use her for his own gain. He abuses her and is forcing her to marry a stranger. The stranger is Rafe. He doesnt want this marrage either. Hes intense and he feels all for Willow from hate to love and all in between. This is dark, sinful, and drama. It has passion, desire and a fantastic read.
If I could leave this book more stars I would. I couldn't put it down. Sleep who needs sleep when you have an amazing book in ur hands. The strong women who stands up to her new husband even though they don't know each other. The way she loves his forcefulness. Amazing book

What a story! Splintered Vows is book 1 in the Desecrated Love Trilogy and is Rafe and Willows story. It's full of chaos, action, suspense, surprises and STEAM. Rafe and Willow are utter perfection and the chemistry completely on fire. This storyline and these characters pull you in immediately and holds you in place until the very last page. There's no escape once you start their journey and there's no reason you would want to.
An Intense Read! Action, suspense, betrayal, sizzling passion and a love that will last forever, this storyline has it all. There may be some triggers which are part of the storyline to give it depth so please note these before reading. Well worth a read!
The two main characters, Rafe and Willow couldn't be less suited for each other.... In the beginning!! Throughout the book with all the twists and turns they end up being a perfect match!! While reading this book I laughed, I became angry, I cried and absolutely couldn't put the book down!! It will be hard to wait for the rest of the series!
