Along a dark stretch of night, Thorn stumbles across a building on fire and breaths life back into a beautiful young woman. Little does he realizes Chase comes with a whole heap of trouble, but soon he’s too invested in keeping her alive. Wanting to know all her secrets, he escapes with her to hide from the hitman sent to track her down.
Chase isn’t sure she can trust the big muscular MC man, but Thorn is a heap of temptation she can’t refuse. Especially once she begins to dream of him … premonitions of a future that become reality. And when she dreams of him dying because of her, Chase runs far away in hopes of saving him.
But what took her away also brings her back, and this time Chase knows that to hold onto a future with Thorn, she has to finally confront the danger trying to kill her.

He headed over to his duffel bag and pulled out a black t-shirt. Tattoos lined each arm and across his shoulders. In the middle of his back was a full-scale Grim Reaper, holding the bloody rose, and all the air swooshed out of her body. She’d never met this man before, had certainly never seen him half-naked, so there was no possible way on earth she could’ve known about the tattoo. Had he taken his shirt off after he’d pulled her from the fire? She couldn’t remember, but she didn’t think so. Was she simply projecting her near-death experience into some weird out-of-body moment? Nothing made sense, but she was more than a little freaked out. He didn’t seem to notice her strangled silence as he slipped the shirt over his head and then used the towel to dry his hair. A moment later, he turned to toss it into the bathroom.
He turned and caught her staring. “What?”
“Tattoo,” she whispered. Her voice didn’t hurt quite as much if she talked quietly.
He sat down on the edge of the bed, very close to her legs. He was a buff, muscular man who took up a lot of space. All that separated them was a thin blanket.
“Yeah, I have a lot of them. Biker life, I guess. Something to do.” He shrugged. “I’m glad to hear your voice, even if it’s only a whisper.”
She pointed toward his back.
“You want to see it? Okay.”
He half-turned, lifting his shirt. There it was again. The exact same tattoo she’d seen in the dream … or was it a vision? Chase struggled trying to come to grips that something strange was happening, although she wasn’t sure what it was. Two times in a row she had dreamed something that had come true.
“Chase?”
She snapped back to attention. He had lowered his shirt once more and turned back around to stare intently at her.
“You okay, Princess?”
Chase shook her head. She didn’t know what the hell was going on.
Doesn’t ever woman dream of a Thorn! When Thorn is riding down the road, he sees a building on fire, when a mysterious woman runs in front of his bike forcing him to stop, he’s begged to rescue the woman in the burning building. I have a book hangover from this read! Thorn while out riding to clear his head ends up being a hero by saving Chase from a fire. The fire inherently changes Chase and the two become connected in every way. This book is hot, fast moving and the great world building we saw in book 1 continues! The timeline overlaps with Grimm’s book and it just adds depth to this world!!! Counting the days til the next read in this amazing MC Series!!!
This series is addictive. I have always had a thing for moutain men and MC and when you can bring the both of them together it makes a very interesting and delicious gumbo. I love how Thorn jumps off the pages and makes you feel everything he is feeling in the moment. Especially when he meets Chase, well not meet per se more like bring her back from the dead. Chase is caughtin a world she did not want to be a part but was the heir to a empire...and there was blood shed, Thorn and Chase are bound together in very odd was=y,,,as Leia explains when you walk with death and come back to the living you find that you bring some of it back to this side of the realm. Chase has a plan and she gets Ghosts to help because Thorn is against her involvement but in order to solve the problem you have to go to the source...in this case you have to use the source. And Thorn eventually realizes that. I love how the paranormal is just normalized, as it should be, and those abilities are used and honed with men who are skeptical but learn over time to not aonly accept it but use it. When reading this book, I am reminded of how we all are see and hear things taht we many not understand until the right moment. I am loving this series and I definitely looking forward to more. I am sooooooo wanna see Ghost lady love!!!!
A well written story with fantastic characters! Full of suspense, twists, death, passion and more. Thorn is on a ride out of town when he sees a burning building, someone begs for his help. After finding and saving Chase, he can't seem to leave her alone. There's an instant attraction between them and a magnetic pull that draws them together. He wants to keep her safe, but if she doesn't share her secret then how can he? Will they be able to go the distance together?...

This is the third book I've read written by Beth D. Carter; I can’t wait to read more of her books. This is the second book in the Death Riders MC Series; it is a stand-alone book. A new author and an enjoyable read. This story follows Thorn and Chase (female). Thorn had been out of prison for a year,. One night, feeling nerves he’s out for a ride and a woman stops him near a burning building asking him to save the girl that is still inside. He feels undeniably protective of her and somehow knows someone is after her. Chase is have dreams - the kind of dreams some say tell the future. They have been correct. It she’s not sure if she can trust Thorn even though he stays right by her side in the hospital. When it is time to leave he brings her to his house. She won’t tell him why she’s in danger for fear it will bring trouble and danger to him. It’s a good story, I like these kinds of reads.

When he is stopped by woman near a burning building, she is asking him to save the girl that is still inside. There is something about her, that he feels the need to stay by her side. He knows someone is after her and he will be there to protect her. Chase is have dreams that tell what is about to happen, so far they have been accurate. Chase does not know if she can trust Thorn, he stays by her side in the hospital. When it is time to leave he brings her to his house. She cannot tell him who is after her it is too dangerous for him. The pair get closer, the chemistry is hot and she starts to trust him. When she has dream of him dying, she must leave him. She steals keys and leaves the clubhouse. Six months later she comes back it is time to come clean. Will he still want her when he finds out who she is? This may be triggering for some.
For a short novel I absolutely loved Chase & Thorn's story. This, to me is what an MC romance is about as you have suspense, a bad boy & a heroine needing help. Thorn's world is tilted sideways when he rescues Chase. He'll do anything for the stunning female but he knows she's hiding something. Will they get a chance at a HEA or will her past destroy it all?
Thorn and Chase have a connection that I love! It is a quick read with heart and heat. The chemistry, passion and heat is kindle melting. It is a fast paced read that is page turning. I really liked the paranormal aspect to this MC romance.
I enjoyed this MC story. We get a glimpse into the life of Chase and Torn she is on the run because she saw something she wasn't supposed to see and was there at the wrong time. Torn is the tough biker and VP of his MC Club. They meet when Thorn rescues her from the blaze she's trapped in. Great storyline and I enjoyed the characters, there is action, danger, drama, betrayal but also plenty of steam between them.
Thorn and Chase are the first I've read in this series. And now I have to go find book 1. The fast acting book had me from the first page. Lots of secrets, danger, overprotective heroes, and the independent ladies they fall in love with make a great all night read. HEA included.
Thorn and Chase’s story has them meeting as he’s rescuing her from her building on fire. The more these two are together the harder they fall. But with someone after her and her having dreams/premonitions about Thorns possible death she runs but only to actually see that if she stands with him and fights then her hea will be set. A good suspenseful, action packed, violence, steamy chemistry story.
There is someone dangerous after Chase. She seen something she was never meant to see. So after one of the attempts to her life ,Thorn the VP of the Death Riders Club rescues her from her burning building but has to do cpr on her to bring her back. When she came back she came back with premonitions. Thorn couldn't just leave her especially since someone eas trying to kill her. They fallnin love but a premonition forces Chase to leave Thorn to save his life. She finds her way back to Thorn 6 months later to finally end threat to her life and be with Thorn if he still wants her after he finds out who she really is. Very good book and you should definitely read it.
i really enjoyed this book! this book was very entertaining and definitely kept me on my toes! the pacing of the book was really good which helped make the book even better. i also loved getting to see the way the characters developed throughout the story! and omg the chemistryyyy and tension between them was so good. my only complaint was that the ended was very rushed and i feel like that took away from everything that happened. it didn’t match with the pacing in the beginning at all. overall, this book was super entertaining and if you’re into paranormal, dark, romances then i 100% recommend this book!

Thorn rescues Chase from a burning building. Her Uncle wants her dead but she won't tell Thorn who did it - as she thinks he needs protecting. This really amused me. This is a well-written story with great characters, suspense and a tiny bit of paranormal.
Book 2 of Death Riders MC Enjoyable quick MC read with a paranormal twist. Thorn, the VP for the Death Riders MC, saves Chase’s life from a fire. The plot kept me reading with Instalove, suspense, betrayal, dream runs, brotherhood, chaos, loyalty and love.
I love MC romances because they humanize the people that make up the MC rather than vilify them. It can't be denied in most instances their hands aren't clean as their exactly squeaky clean but they are "a kingdom unto themselves" with their own ways of meting out justice. From the moment Chase opened her eyes I saw Cupid's arrow at work. The attraction between these two is just palpable! Chase's premonitions are helpful indeed but when it comes to her premonitions involving Thorn ... *fans self* I'm looking forward to meeting more of the men from the Death Riders indeed. Good job, author!

Only to find out their lives were already on a collision course for their past. Will Thorn be able to save Chase for her past and the life she’s been running for for two years?
This was great MC book that have you falling hard for the alpha male but dang our girl was strong too and revenge was never sweeter and I can’t wait for Damon’s story.
Lots of twists and some very good unexpected turns. The FMC is very strong-willed and not at all helpless. The sexist mild to moderately described, vanilla, no dirty talk and very short. I enjoyed the inclusion of the previous and other club members. it made the story feel more like family
The second book in the Death Riders MC series, this is VP Theodore Mead(Thorn) and Chase Smith's story. The story is well written and kept me turning pages with is secrets, suspense, drama, danger, villains and romance. I hope Ghost gets his story. The story was well worth reading. This book was fantastic, especially because it wasn’t the same canned MC book that is typical!! Thorn and Chase started out with a weird connection and a life and death situation. Soon after they met it was almost Instalove, but not quite because there were things that Chase would not disclose to Thorn. After a separation period they made their way back to each other and ended the book with a HEA!!
This was a great follow up to book one and continues with that flavour of the paranormal along with an MC romance. Fast paced, with fab characters, I read this story in one sitting. It features Thorn, whom we meet in book 1, and Chase, a gal with troubling dreams that seem to come true. There's a ton of action, violence, betrayal, secrets and steamy romance to make it a page turning read, and I'm really enjoying this series :D
It was my first time reading this author and I can guarantee it won't be the last! Thorn is the VP to the Death Riders MC, a little jaded by the drugs and free pussy, but still living to ride. On one of his late night rides he stumbles across a burning building, and going against his usual setting, which would be to leave and no bother, he runs inside and pulls Chase' body from the fire. He manages to resuscitate her and in doing so she starts having premonitions. This is where everything begins. She's being hunted by a hitman but has no desire to tell Thorn as she doesn't want him nor his MC to get hurt because of her. There's a lot of working to gain trust and Thorn is so light hearted and really good at reading Chase. This was a great book and had all the good stuff that a good MC has, steamy scenes, a little bit if mayhem and murder and an alpha male that will stop at nothing to keep his woman safe.
This was a fast read with plenty of steam, action, drama and a bit of paranormal as well. Looking forward to more in the series.
Chase was appropriately named as she was on the run for two years! This girl definitely has nine lives, being saved over and over. Loved Chase and protective VP to an MC, Thorn. Interesting story involving both Irish and Italian Mafia groups … struggle for power and territory. Loved the MC brothers … I am a new fan.
I love that this series has just a touch of "magic" to it. Nothing fantastical, but enough to color the tale. The one question that wasn't answered - who was the woman in the turban? She's referenced at the beginning of the tale and a time or two later, but we never discover who she is. Will she make an appearance in another tale?
This was a fast and steamy read--loved the characters and their connection was really off the charts. The author was able to give so much without all the needless filler that wouldn't be needed. Really a great book--can't wait to see what happens next in this series.
A great addition to the series. Thorn & Chase give us all the feels. Gunfights, blood, choas, betrayal, brotherhood, loyalty & love all wrapped in a nail biting moments. A quirky sense of humor our grey heroes have for sure.
Drama, mafia, motorcycles, romance! I didn't read the 1st book in the series and the author does an excellent job of explaining the characters. I will definitely be going back to read it now. A wild ride I wish was longer. I read it in almost 3 hours and I honestly wish there was more to Thorn and Chase's story. It was a thrilling ride with just enough drama and spice. I'll definitely be back for more in the series and other books by the author.

I loved Shadow Kissed! I was a tad confused about the timeline with Shadow Touched at first. Shadow Kissed actually begins before Shadow Touched (first release in the series) but it gets cleared up midway and doesn't actually impact the story. I loved the paranormal twist to the plot and Thorn and Chase had major chemistry! Carter does a great job of balancing the serious aspects of the characters' lives with a sweet (and sexy) love story.
Thorn and Chase’s first meeting starts off hot, literally there’s a fire, and that heat continues to build throughout the story. As VP of a MC, finding Chase was never in Thorn’s cards but their chance encounter starts chain of events that mixes steamy and action suspense with a slight paranormal twist in the form of dreams. This is book two in the series, but starts off before events in book one, then catches up to the present (after book one). For those who did not read book one ( although I highly recommend it) this is no problem, but it was a little weird for me at first until I figured it out. It’s a fast paced, with loads of characters that leave you wanting to know more and fingers crossed that more come soon. 4 stars enjoyable read. I received an arc copy of this book. Oh my, Shadow Kissed was a joy to read. The first chapter had me captivated, and things only got better from there. Thorn and Chase had smokin' hot chemistry, and I loved everything start to finish
When chases apartment catches fire thorn saves her. He instantly falls in love with her but when he finds out who her family is can he look past it and still love her? This was overall a pretty good book I would recommend reading.
I absolutely love Beth's books. I love that they are a pretty safe read for me. There has always been minimal OW drama. Which I prefer. And I loved Thorn. He is VP of the Death Riders and could have any woman he wanted. He did back when he was a new member before he learned better. But his focus is his club and riding. That is until he saves Chase. Then she is his main focus. I was surprised their separation lasted so long. I wasn't expecting that. I will tell you that he had only kissed one woman in that time. I can handle that, mainly. Lol. He couldn't get over Chase. Thankfully she comes back. They are perfect together. I won't say anything about what happens with her uncle but it was exciting to read and well written. Just enough danger. And I loved the ending.

I would definitely recommend Beth’s Death Riders MC series!
