The sexual attraction I feel for her has floored me. Guilia refers to it as insta-lust. Something mentioned in many of her romance novels. She mentioned it the one time I asked her what she was reading, effectively ensuring I wouldn’t enquire again.
I know little of this woman except for the accidental slip of her true name. Inquiries have given me a small glimpse into her life. She is twenty-nine, divorced, and living on her own. She has no family or friends that I can find. The one saving grace is that she is nothing more than a bartender at Nocturn. I don’t know how I would manage her being one of the escorts.
“What are you thinking about?” Allegra asks.
Shaking all thoughts of Lira out of my mind, I try to focus on the ledger in front of me. Allegra wanted to show me the books and make sure that we are satisfied with her work.
“Why do you think I’m not paying attention”? I ask.
“Well.” She smiles. “I asked you if you wanted a drink, and you didn’t answer. Also, you have a murderous look on your face.”
Lifting my gaze from the numbers, I stare at her. After long moments, Allegra bursts out laughing.
“If I hadn’t known you for two years, I would fear for my life. But I know you don’t hurt women or children. Is there something wrong with the numbers?” she asks softly.
“No, no. The numbers are better than ever.” I sigh.
“Is there something I can do to help?”
Allegra is a sweet girl. From the first moment I met her, that was clear. She is driven, smart, and caring. Which is exactly the reason I drove four hundred miles and shot her father in the head. That man broke her, mentally and physically. I couldn’t stand to know that he was alive somewhere while she still suffered the effects of the damage he had wrought on her.
“Maybe you need to get laid,” Allegra says thoughtfully.
“Fucking hell.” I rub my hand down my face.
“What? I’m eighteen. I know what sex is. For heaven’s sake, I manage a brothel!”
She looks incredulous. Of course, she is right. But that doesn’t mean I have any inclination to talk to her about my sex life.
“I don’t want to talk to you about this,” I say, instead rising from my seat to leave.
“Don’t be that way,” she calls after my retreating form with a laugh.
That girl is going to give me a stroke one of these days. She is also spending too much time around Guilia. Her love of giving me shit about anything and everything already rubbing off on Allegra.
I don’t look around as I leave Nocturn, too afraid to lay eyes on Lira again. I don’t know how much control I have around her.
My blood spikes as I round the corner into the alley where my car is parked to find a man with his hands all over Lira. I know for a fact that she doesn’t have sex with any of the men who come around here. She is only a bar lady. When she starts struggling against his hold, the last control I had snaps.
“Come on, girl,” I hear the man say. “You can’t tell me you’re not interested.”
“I said no,” Lira says.

This was something I needed to read and didn't know!!! It's short, really, but It's sooo easy to read (and spicy) that you can read it in less than two hours! I haven't been reading anything for the past few months and 'Severu' helped me get back to reading, even if it was for a little while. A good book with good characters
Lira Blake works for the police and she has had and continues to work at everything she has at the force, yet at times she is still not taken seriously. She ends up in the Cammarei home and everyone thinks she is someone else. She sees the people inside differently than what she has heard and before she can tell Severu who she has grown to like that she works for the police she is outed by others. Though he finds out it does not seem to bother him for he has grown to trust her and he has fallen for her as well, what will they do? A good book with good characters.

I liked this book a lot!
I liked this book a lot! I enjoyed the characters and the love story between Severu and Lira. From the beginning, we see how Lira is a police officer and although she has fought for her place there, she does not get taken seriously because she is a woman. On a mission to bring the Cammareri family down, she falls in love with one of the criminals, Severu. They are quick to fall in love and Lira knows that she needs to tell Severu that she is a cop before it's too late, but someone else does that for her. This was a great story, the only thing I would change is that I would've made it longer. It was extremely short and a quick read, but I feel some scenes could have been extended. Overall, liked it! 4/5 stars ◡̈

Really good read!
I enjoyed this story. I liked all the characters and the story was easy to follow along with. This is the first story I have read but I will have to go back to read the other story now because I liked the side characters as well.

Lira & Severu!!
This is the second book in this series, and this is Severu and Lira’s story. Lira is strong and independent, and is a police officer, while Severu is fiercely protective of those he loves. The chemistry between these two is explosive and undeniable. This is a well written story which has loss, betrayal, justice, secrets, family, romance, emotions, and is an entertaining and steamy quick rea fast paced story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A fantastic read
Another fantastic instalment in the Cammareri Family series. Deliciously dark and dangerous. Great characters, and a well written storyline. Would recommend. Cannot wait for the next book.

Severu and Lira are an unlikely pair being that one is a member of the Cammareri family and the other the cop. This story has me on the edge of my seat with the secrets, suspense, and betrayal. This is a very steamy novella that is an engaging read.

Lira and Severu
This story was really interesting with Lira an undercover cop and Severu who's a member of the Cammareri Family. It's was great when Severu ends up coming to Lira's rescue and takes her home with him. Lira finds it hard to take down the Cammareri Family since she's falling hard for Severu. Will she be able to tell him that she's a cop working for Vice? What will happen when she tells him? This was a good read and I enjoyed it.

This was such an original idea for a plot, and it did not disappoint. Lira was such a great h, strong, no-nonsense, and didn't play games. And Severu, ugh, just a panty-dropper really, I loved him.

Spicy, undercover cop vs mafia gold
I am always game for a spicy book about an undercover cop infiltrating a mafia fun business, especially when it's a female UC. This one also had a wrong place/wrong time element that through in an exciting twist that made it hard to put down. The couple had great chemistry, the banter was top notch and the best part is the book is pretty short so this is a one sitting read. It's book two in the series and while Book 1 is referenced, I didn't miss a ton by not reading it, but I'll probably go back and check it out. Five star novella!

Omg this is so good love it
This book is everything I want in a mafia book I love my mafia men very alpha but I love my women string and the chemistry these two have just wow and the desire he has to be protective of the ones he loves just over the top, just wow.

Awesome
A wonderful Mafia story about two opposite poles who fall in love with each other. Severu is a mafia enforcer and Lira is an undercover cop. Their story will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The storyline and build-up are wonderfully described by the author. I can tell more but I can only say that this is a Mafia story that you have to read yourself and it is very worthwhile.

The bad boy & the cop.
Lira & Severu's story may have be short in length but the drama, suspense, mafia, bad boy vibes are what make this dark romance a fantastic read. She's a cop & he's a bad boy - despite their attraction to each other can this ever lead anywhere?

Lira & Severu
Lira puts in a transfer at her department... she's tired of not being taken seriously and given menial tasks. Finally, she is sent to vice... her first assignment is working undercover as a bartender at a popular club. Lira is tasked with taking the Cammareri Family down.. But, one night she's put in danger and Severu Cammareri comes to her rescue. He brings her to his home and cares for her. Lira, is now conflicted... she's attracted to Severu; but, she's worked so hard for this break... she doesn't know which risk to take, only that the more time she spends with Severu.. the lines are starting to blur. This was a short read... but, oh so good. It's the second installment to the Cammareri Series, it can be read as a standalone. Lira and Severu's chemistry was off the charts... Once the truth comes out, they both try so hard to keep their distance... It doesn't last that long. Read this book, I highly recommend it!!

Severu and Lira
Lira is a cop and she is finally doing something worthwhile. Always the pretty face she keeps putting in for a transfer. Finally she gets her chance in vice. She is put undercover to spy and get evidence against Severu and his family. That's easier said than done. First, she's attracted to him, then he saves her life, then the attraction is mutual, and on and on we go. But lies can only stay hidden for so long. I loved Lira. She took being caught calmly and just owned it. She was very brave. I loved Severu too. He fell in love with her. I absolutely loved these two together and the ending. ❤️❤️

Not exactly what I expected
The first chapter is a great hook - chapter 2 almost lost me, but I hung in there and I'm glad I did. I expected a couple of things to happen a bit different considering who Lira was, but it all turned out nicely. Great quick-read with a touch of just about every emotion, ending on the best note.

Family!
This is the second story in the "Cammareri" crime family series. I did read the first one, Alceu, and rather enjoyed it. I enjoyed this one just as much. You do not have to read them in order though. Of course, there are connected characters but this one is about Severu, one of the brothers, and Lira, a police officer. It is a fairly quick read that is steamy and sweet with some dark aspects and a touch of danger. She is undercover as a bartender when they first meet. The attraction between them is instant. He rescues her and takes her to his home but is shocked what he finds when he checks in on her. I enjoyed their story even the wonderful surprise and his touching words. I will say I had to google what one thing in the story was. It sounds interesting and painful.

this book is a fast-paced, interesting, steamy novella! This book has a huge emphasis on family, betrayal, secrets, and relationships! This book was super super engaging! While I did enjoy the book I have to admit I’m definitely not the biggest fan of the insta love trope. Additionally, I also felt like some parts of this book were so rushed and fast that it felt hard to keep up at certain parts. Overall, this book is definitely a great, engaging, read and I’d definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick read! Fast and steamy read
Fast and steamy read - great for weekend or anytime. Undercover cop and tough mafia family come together in more ways than one. Just who is the bad guy and how will things play out. No spoilers, but there might be a happy ending in there too.

Liras new undercover job at Vice sends her into Severu's path, when he saves her and he takes her to his family shebfeels torn between loyalty to her job and her heart but when things get to far, Severu learns her truth, butncan he live without her? Lira is an undercover vice working at the bar when she meets Severu, who is part of the family she is tasked to take down. It get complicated when he saves her and they give in to their attraction. This is super short and it was well written. A very enjoyable read.

I am so impressed with this book--this author delivered on every point that makes a great book. I love mafia/dark romance books because I am a huge fan of "anti-hero types" and this one was amazing. I know I will be re-reading it because it was just a great book.

Absolutely Amazing and Addictive Read
This is book two in The Cammareri Family series and it is Lira and Severu's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Lira is a cop but when she is constantly not being taken seriously she asks for a transfer and ends up going undercover and working in a bar so that she can get information on the Cammareri Family and take them down but when she finds herself in a bad and difficult situation it is Severu that comes to her rescue and the more time that she spends with him she realised that they are not who they are constantly made out to be causing Lira to question everything and have conflicting emotions especially when she starts to have feelings for Severu who doesn't know who she is but what will happen when her secret is revealed will it cost her everything. Wow I absolutely loved this book and Lira and Severu's chemistry is so strong and intense that you can feel it sizzling off the pages and I couldn't put this book down as it was a real page turner that kept you on the edge of your seat wondering what would happen next and also so addictive. I absolutely love this series and I can't wait to read the next book.

A great book about a brooding mafia enforcer who meets his match in an undercover cop. They both have instalust and quickly fall into bed together, and soon after love with a twist and the guaranteed HEA.

Short and sweet but has character finesse and tension lira is undercover in Maffia family she falls for Severus as he falls for her after he saved her when she was attacked can they get past when he finds who she really is but she leaves then finds she’s pregnant he only has to know when his sister sees her can they really do this

Severu is the fantastic second book in the Cammereri Family series. Severu and Lira are definitely the most unlikely couple but they are smokin hot and take us on a steamy journey. Severu, the Mafia man and Lira the undercover cop soon find out they're the two halves that make a whole. This book has you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. These characters are strong, fierce and determined. I can't wait to see what's next for this family
