The Royal Series, 2

Thanks to social media, beauty mogul Astoria Richards fell into a multimillion-dollar business at the age of sixteen. Unfortunately, burnout threatens to snatch the rug straight from under her. With no personal life to speak of, and competitors nipping at her heels, she jumps at a unique proposition from a king. As long as Astoria keeps her heart out this arrangement, her bottom line would benefit from this weirdness … right?

Raphael Castille needs a wife. Tasked with taking over the throne until his twin brother gets stamped with a clean bill of health, he will be required to play his royal part. A simple one-year contractual obligation to make the people of Calor Dunas believe he was capable of leading their country turned into much, much more. The second he sets eyes on Astoria Richards, all the rules went straight out of the window. No one said love was a part of the deal, but if he stayed around the gorgeous, brown-skinned beauty for much longer, he’d have to find a way to add it to the contract.

Excerpt:

Lost didn’t cover Astoria’s dizzying confusion. Larger than the Atlantis Resort, she wandered the palace halls in need of a rescue team. For the first time since she’d dove straight into this strange odyssey, she reconsidered her role in all of it.

“Story.”

Rafe’s growly tenor, mixed with his cultivated tone, instantly stirred something in her gut.

“Thought you came to your senses and changed your mind.” He advanced from the opposite end of the hallway with his hard-to-win smile inching northward.

“Had a hiccup at the airport,” she admitted, mentally hollering at her pussy that beat boxed a mean tune at the sight of him. Swallowing the teenage giggles that begged to burst free, Astoria shared her harrowing tale about delayed planes and no available runways when a young woman stepped in front of her.

“My name is Elana and there are no words for how late you are.” She tightly clutched a clipboard to her chest, granting Astoria the sternest schoolteacher glare.

“None?” she asked. “Because the English language is vast, and right off the top of my head, I can think of several.”

“This is unacceptable and mustn’t happen again. We have a tight schedule, and tardiness will not be tolerated.”

“Where’s your detail?” Rafe asked, gracefully moving around Elana.

“Also late,” she replied, turning toward the handsome man. The slim fit of his Prada dark grey suit hugged his lean body to a tee. Not to mention his enticing smell of sweet ylang-ylang and sandalwood that helped calm her jackhammer type of nerves.

She lowered her voice to a whisper. “May I ask a question?”

“Of course,” he answered, bending his head toward her in the cutest conspiratorial manner.

“What’s with the hair?” Astoria reached for the ends of his shorter jet-black strands. Still longer than the basic business style, he’d cut off his bad boy shoulder-length locks.

“Do you like?” He beamed, forcing those high cheekbones to the ceiling, igniting a spark of mischief in his eyes.

“It’s very, very royal, sir.”

“Good enough for a king?” His lowkey flirting produced a throb of wanton need to work its way into her womb.

Fuck, this man is sexy…

“Ahem,” bossy clipboard chickee interrupted, knocking her out of the Rafael Castille bubble.

While internally rounding up the rest of her horny senses, Astoria dropped her hand back to her side.

Elana speared her with a glare. “We have over sixty different news outlets waiting in the courtyard for the Q and A session.”

“Ready.” He gently nudged her toward the double doors Elana pulled open to enter the square. “Ladies first.”

“No, your majesty.” Astoria held out her hand. After a beat, his large palm dwarfed hers. If he was shocked by the physical display of intimacy, he certainly didn’t show it.

Marriages that arranged are not always a bad thing. Take Rafe and Astoria for example it was just want the both of them needed and didn't know it. Turned out to be the best thing that ever happened for the two of them. Good read.

A fake king, a fake queen, a fake marriage, a secret pregnancy. What could possibly go wrong? King Rafe and Queen Astoria may have had a fake marriage but their passion beneath the sheets was anything but. This was a spicy, delicious and hilarious read, thanks in part to Astoria’s cousin Quincy and I loved every bit of it.

Astoria & Rafe
Written by Shell R on 26th Apr 2024

Arranged marriages can be fun right??? Just ask Rafe and Astoria about their crazy romance and do not forget about the royal part. Astoria thought her marriage would be a marriage of convenience, be the beautiful eye candy for the king and promote her cosmetic company. Little did she know she would walk into a kingdom with more problems than she wants to solve. From having a hot king for a husband, missing women that worked at the palace and two pregnancies, and a messy cousin to top it off. What is a queen to do? Join the story to see how this royal mystery pans out. Enjoy! :)

This is the first book I've read written by Amber Malloy; I can’t wait to read more of her books. This is the second book in the Royal Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Astoria & Raphael and their arranged marriage.

Always Enjoyable
Written by CLorraine on 26th Apr 2024

I always enjoy Amber Malloy's books; she is extremely versatile and each book has a distinctive vibe. Royally Arranged is the second book in her Royal Series. Raphael Castille is a twin and one of the heirs to the throne of Calor Dunas. The only problem is that Raphael does not want to be king and his twin brother is more than capable of running the country single-handedly....or he would be if he was not chronically ill. In order to buy some time, avoid scrutiny into his brother's health, and to look the part of a stable monarch, they devise a plan for Raphael to marry a suitable figurehead. Beauty mogul Astoria Richards is selected to be Raphael's temporary bride and it is soon apparent that she is anything but a mere placeholder! While not looking for love or even a connection, they fall head over heels into both. Will they be able to navigate these misplaced feelings as well as court intrigue? I highly recommend this fast-paced and romantic story containing both suspense and humor.

Loved the story!

Having to take over the throne for his ill twin brother for a short time MMC Raphael Castille needs a fake wife quickly. FMC Astoria Richards is looking for a little change in her life and the prospect of a one year contractual arrangement with Raphael seems intriguing. Who would have guessed love would enter the picture. The heat is on and so is the romance in this delightful Contemporary story Royally Arranged, whose writing is captivating, as are the characters who shine in this very entertaining read.

Entertaining
Written by LBing on 26th Apr 2024

This is the first book I've read by this author and it was quite entertaining. I loved the premise of the story that brings together hugely successful business mogul, Astoria, and King Rafe. He needed a wife/queen in a hurry and she needed a break from all the demands in her life. These two have quite the chemistry but there's a lot of angst from him, which often leaves her confused. Thankfully, they get things sorted and get their fab HEA. I especially loved her cousin Quincy - their banter/antics were hilarious and added so much to this story.
