“Come on, Anna.” He took my hand and we went into the bedroom. The door was open and the light from the candles on the dresser illuminated, and also cast shadows, throughout the room.  He was behind me, his chest pressed against my back.

“Close your eyes.” His words were soft against my ear and sent tingles of apprehension and excitement through me.

Although I hesitated, I did as he asked. Anticipation coursed through me with such force my knees felt weak. My skin pebbled when his fingers ran down my arms. When he pulled away, I involuntarily shivered and kept my eyes closed. When I felt the butter soft silk cover my eyes a wave of panic took hold of me.

“Trust me.”

That was all he said, but it was all I needed to hear. As if his voice was a talisman, my body slowly calmed and I became like Jell-O under his fingers. It was his voice, so soft and soothing, yet deep and commanding. I couldn’t help but listen and obey him.

Once the blindfold was secured across my eyes, I felt him take my hand and lead me a few steps. My heart beat in my throat, my skin felt moist with perspiration, and I knew it had nothing to do with fear and everything to do with my readiness to experience what Felix had in store. I stood absolutely still when I felt him start to remove my clothing, one article at a time until I was nude.

His fingers were nimble across my flesh, heating me slowly with mastery and expertise. He lifted my arms, and I heard a rustling before something tight and unyielding snapped around my wrists. I tugged when I realized he had secured them above me and started to pant. Never had I been or felt so vulnerable.

“I’m going to open your senses up, Anna. I heard the jangle of metal on metal and my throat became dry.

Oh God. His words tantalized me, but I feared what he had in store for me. Would he be gentle? Would he take into consideration that I had never done this, never even had sex before? He had been considerate and gentle with me at every opportunity, but I could hear the shift in his voice, a subtle yet distinctive note that made me realize I was in the presence of a very dominating man, one who didn’t show mercy.

The Diary of Anna’s Submission is hot and sexy and a fantastic read that is written in the first person. It is not a book for those who are easily offended by graphic language. As Anna lives out her every fantasy, thanks to the Dom Felix who has admired her from afar, her sexual awakening doesn’t only lead her down a new path, but her Dom’s as well. Anna, a virgin who’s mind is as kinky as it gets, is given a chance to experience all her mind and body desires. Felix, a man who is always in control, finds himself in new territory with Anna as he teaches her about what it means to submit. She not only opens her body and heart to him, but makes him think about opening himself to her. The Diary of Anna’s Submission is a short story, but it’s full of erotic and mind blowing scenes as well as heart-warming ones. I’m not a particular fan of such short stories because their tends to be a disconnect that occurs between me as a reader and any true emotion that is supposed to belong to the characters. I didn’t find that to be so with this story and I truly enjoyed it.

I usually don't like to read diary-like material but I have to say that Jenika had me from the first word. It is a diary of a young woman who, through words, explained about the confusion of her sexuality and how confused she felt wanting something that she felt was not normal but knew it was for her. Felix was the master Anna needed, one who knew what she needed and wasn't afraid to give it to her. Through her entries she has Felix described to be a man of strong willed control who wouldn't allow her insecurities to come between them or allow her to disobey and make him hurry his taking of her. Being away from everyone and depending on one person for everything in a cabin in the woods should have had Anna anxious but deep down she knew that Felix was her master and she wanted to please him. Though his methods were extreme at time Anna flourished in her training. Secrets are kept and the book had you holding your breath for the next shoe to drop. I give this book 5 Tea Cup because of the exceptional interpretation of all that goes on with a submissive and her master.

Anna is a single woman whose days all seem to be a re run of the last day. That is until she notices someone watching her while she is at the library. Whenever she looks at this man her heart beats faster and she can feel herself getting more and more turned on. One day she decides to take a vacation to a secluded cabin in the woods. While there she continually gets the feeling that she is not alone, someone is watching her. Felix, is a bit of a mystery man, since we dont learn much about him until the end. Felix is into BDSM and since the first day he has seen Anna he has hoped to make her his own. Overall, The Diary of Anna's Submission is a great book. I believe that by being written as a journal it was able to give more details in a shorter book. I loved the scenes while in the forest, it made you fee like you were there.

I just finished reading The Diary of Anna’s Submission by Jenika Snow and he book drew me in from the very beginning. The title is reflective of the way the story is presented, it is in fact written as a diary. I was dubious about the diary style at first but the more I read, the more I loved it. The story is written from the POV of Anna. She’s a reserved young woman attending college who has dark desires she feels unable to share with others. Her overwhelming need to be dominated sexually is disclosed only to her diary, until she meets Felix, a dominant master who owns the local BDSM club. Once Anna overcomes her initial fear of being trained by Felix, she begins her long awaited journey into submission. Anna’s doubts and fears are beautifully expressed by the author, drawing the reader into Anna’s world and imparting an understanding of the angst and frustration she feels with her life. Even though Felix isn’t given a voice within this story, the author skilfully includes enough detail about him (via Anna’s POV) that you come to like him as much as you like Anna. The story is one of empowerment and awakening. It isn’t just about the training, or the need to submit it is about a relationship and the growth of a young woman into the person she knows she is meant to be. The BDSM scenes gradually increase in intensity as Anna adapts to her training. The inclusion of erotic asphyxiation during scenes was a surprise inclusion for me within the story line, but it was definitely a pleasant surprise. The act added a kinkier edge to the basic trappings of spankings, bondage, discipline, toys, gags, and anal sex, which are all present and expected from a book of this nature. I found the inclusion of breath play during intercourse between the two characters increased the intimacy of the act for the reader, taking the sensuality to a higher level. The Diary of Anna’s Submission is a definite must read. I think the book would be equally enjoyable to members of the BDSM lifestyle as well as our vanilla friends, and for those who like their romance with HEA/HFN endings you won’t be disappointed.

Anna is still a virgin, but doesn’t feel sexual without thinking about BDSM and how she wants to experiment. She decides to take a break from school and go off by herself to think, unknowingly renting from Felix. The Diary of Anna’s Submission is a diary of a young girl’s coming of age, her way. The author kept you emotionally involved as Anna starts her journey and later as Anna tries to analyze her feelings. I almost wanted to cry in a few places because I kept identifying with her. Felix is a Dom that thinks he can train Anna without getting involved. Be aware that the chemistry between them is scorching so be prepared. The Diary of Anna’s Submission does have a few scenes that can be extremely dangerous. I don’t recommend that anyone do these, though I know some within the community do, as these types of scenes can go very wrong. The author is knowledgeable and shows Anna’s journey, as well as the intensity. I usually am very apprehensive about reading books in first person, but I enjoyed this one and will be reading it again. Warning: erotic asphyxiation

The cravings and desires that course through Anna’s body scare her to death. She feels the need for something darker and dangerous, and fears that there is something terribly wrong with her. He caught his first glimpse of her at the club, and Felix was hooked. Her innocence and natural submissive behavior glow like a beacon, and he has to have her. It is all Anna can do to sit in class and concentrate when her body is screaming for release. During a school break, Anna takes the opportunity to get away, and try to come to grips with her raging emotions. She wants a man to completely control and overpower her, and when that man suddenly appears in her life, it terrifies her. Felix wants this young woman with a passion that he has never felt, but when their time is over, will he be able to walk away knowing he can never be the man she really needs? The courage to admit what you need is not something everyone has, and to see Anna slowly come to grips with her desires is an exciting thing to watch. You can practically feel her sexual tension vibrate right off the page with every exploration. Felix is an enigma to me for the most part, and I would really love to get into his head, as he seems like such a fascinating man. The transformation in Anna’s life is tremendous, and I could easily imagine this being the beginning of an amazing series.

Anna has needs that she fears make here different from everyone else. Told in diary form, The Diary of Anna's Submission, Anna tells us about her foray into BDSM. Although she is a virgin, she knows that she has darker needs to be dominated. While at a private club, she watches Master Felix give a demonstration that leaves her wanting more. She decides that she needs some peace and quiet and rents a cabin in the woods. Unbeknownst to her, Felix owns the cabin. He is intrigued by Anna's innocence. For several intense days, he and Anna explore each other. I really liked the premise of the story. There were several aspects that I found enjoyable and a few that I thought were over the top. All in all, I really enjoyed Jenika Snow's latest offering.

An enjoyable read by a new author to me. There were a few scenes and/or situations I didn't care for but overall this is a great story. I really liked Anna's character.
