Jack leans toward me, and I don’t back away. It’s just a kiss. What harm can it do? His fingers tangle in my hair, and I inhale his spicy cologne. The exotic fragrance intoxicates me. A Sexy Vision To Behold

What do you do when you are attracted to your bosses? If that wasn't bad enough, your bosses are both male and in a relationship together. You can't help it, they are both very handsome, intelligent, caring, friends she'd hate to lose. She's worked with them for years and have come to depend on them. But there is something that Maggie doesn't know... although they are in a committed relationship, they are missing a special woman to share their life with. They know the one they want, but aren't sure if she'd be willing to share her life with them. Their unconventional lifestyle is not for everyone. But sometimes you have to take a chance to get achieve something you desire. This was a quick, seductive, passion filled story that will set your pulse racing. The intensity that the three is share is electric and will the reader turning the pages with bated breath. Michael and Aaron will bring you such pleasure that will leave you panting for more. This is one lusciously romantic tale that shouldn't be missed.

There's so much good in this one little book! After being the target of an older man as a rebellious and clueless teenager, Maggie Jones' life changed forever. Now 26 and working at Optical Illusions optometrist's office, Maggie is a hell of a lot more reserved, even though she can't stop fantasizing about her gorgeous gay bosses, Aaron Moore and Michael Briggs. Aaron and Michael have been a couple since college, but they've always known that they'd eventually want a woman in their life to share...Maggie is that woman. But Maggie is afraid to reach out and grab the life that they're dangling in front of her. Will her fear of the past destroy her chance to have exactly what she wants? So, yea...OPTICAL ILLUSIONS starts off with a shocking and disturbing situation that Maggie finds herself in, along with the fallout from her actions. Maggie's choices are ones that any one of us could have found ourselves making as young and impressionable teens, and the way she handles herself afterward was quite realistic yet terribly sad. It really reflects the fact that so many people tend to blame the victim of any kind of abuse, but Maggie doesn't let it stop her life. She's so relatable, both in her actions and her desires, her quest to be a good girl with a bad girl's soul inside. Even though this was a short novella, it packed a wildly erotic punch in the few sex scenes that were there! The guys clearly had chemistry with one another and with Maggie, and when they're sharing their plans, this little gem shines through: "I do trust you. It's just that, I always thought you were--" "Independents." Aaron chuckles. "Like in politics." "Sex is complicated," Michael adds, "Feelings transcend gender. Labels are for cans." Yup! So simply accurately portrays the societal shift in thinking and I couldn't be more excited that others are finally embracing that shift! Bottom Line: This short story is big on drama, sex and story...all done VERY well. This is a fun and really hot short romance. The main focal point is a store called Optical Illusions which is run by two optometrists with a very talented young woman, Maggie, managing the retail frames boutique. She is amazing. The eye doctors become more complete and richer characters as the story progresses. Delightfully erotic! Maggie Jones is a relatively young woman who has never quite been able to manage her libido. Her parents had her late in their lives and they seemed to have no idea how to handle a young child or sexually active teenager. Now Maggie is on her own and she is a really stunning woman. So coupled with her open and rather sensuous nature, she seems to have little difficulty getting herself into tense yet highly erotic situations. I think Maggie is an absolute stunner! She finds her occupational niche within a new business run by two rather attractive doctors. However, she is fairly convinced they are gay, but when they decide to expand their business including her in their business plan, she starts to get to know them in ways she initially never would have imagined. Splendidly sensuous! Michael Briggs and Aaron Moore seem somewhat inseparable and that is deliciously sweet. It feels as if they are totally on each others wavelength and just the most perfect couple on the planet. These fellows are the owners of Optical Illusions and come to be fairly dependent on Maggie's talents. This threesome somewhat accidentally seems to become more integral and potentially intimate with each other after Maggie deftly handles the business scenario on her own because it is interrupted by the death of Aaron's father. Even with Maggie being the primary voice for this tale, there is no difficulty sensing Michael and Aaron's relationship and their desire to be much closer to Maggie. Additionally, it is indisputably easy to link into Maggie's desire to be with both of them. Creatively carnal! Yes, I definitely recommend a tall, cool, icy beverage to accompany the reading of this short narrative. It was still blisteringly sexy on my re-read and I think should unequivocally not be missed. Suggestively seductive!

Abused as an innocent teenage girl and then mishandled by her parents, and other supportive figures, Maggie, the beautiful and sex starved heroine ends up with not one but two steamingly hot bisexual men - who were in an intimate relationship for many years. Lately, something was missing in the relationship. They decided to spice it up by bringing in their beautiful and sexy young employee whom you can already figure out; Maggie. Does it sound smart? Perhaps not. Does it sound erotic? You got that right. Even if you are heterosexual, or gay, you'll enjoy this book. Way hotter than 50 Shades of you know what.

Erotically Delicious Story of Growth and Struggle

Gale Stanley uses her talent as a writer to brilliantly describe a young woman’s upbringing under strict parents, her abuse by a counselor who was mandated to help her and then into her womanhood where she struggles with issues of physical, emotional and romantic desire against a developed backdrop of mistrust. She tries to internalize her needs for fear of being mistreated again. She never expected to meet two men that would help her shed the warm comfort of her cocoon and blossom into the beautiful butterfly she protects form the world. Hummm, there is great sex, but more than that there is a humanity of struggle to which we can all identify in one way or another and the profound struggle and strength it requires to overcome the shackles of our past. Ms Stanley writes warm, challenged characters who develop and grow through their strife. This was indeed a great sexy story, but so intensely much more. If you have never read Ms Stanley, you will fast become a fan addicted to her talent as a wordsmith to spin an erotically delicious, yet believable, story of growth and struggle—a coming into oneself story any one of us could have lived. I loved it and highly recommend it.

Optical Illusions by Gale Stanley is a super sizzling read. This is Stanley's best work. The story is told from the point of view of Maggie. She had a strict upbringing, was abused in high school...she is damaged. No self esteem and guilt plague Maggie, thus she trusts no one. Then she meets Michael and Aaron, a bisexual couple looking for a female to 'complete' their relationship. What does Maggie do? I'm not going to give too much away, but this is a super sexy romantic read that captures a lot of emotion. You'll want to add this to your Kindle.

Emotional yet sexy

This was a really good read. Much more emotional than I expected, it hooked me from the beginning. Maggie, the heroine, was brought up by strict parents and she rebelled. Then in high school, she was victimized by her counselor. Broken and suffering a lot of guilt, she buried her feelings and resigned herself to never finding love or having a family. The story is told from Maggie’s point of view, and I felt like I really knew her. It made the story more believable to me. Maggie’s determination and hard work made me empathize with her and hope for a happy ending. Yes, there are sex scenes, and they’re hot! But there’s so much more to this story. I think the author got it right. She showed Maggie’s struggle and growth, and still wrote a very sexy story. I’ll probably read this one again.

What a great read. I could almost feel Maggie’s emotions coming off the page. I like to read about flawed characters. Who can relate to perfection – not me. Maggie was abused in high school, her self-esteem is zilch, and she doesn’t trust anyone, but she longs for physical intimacy and love. Her inner struggles make her vulnerable and she has a one-night stand. For a short time, she feels sexy and empowered, but then the guilty feelings start. I thought the author described Maggie's emotions and thoughts perfectly, and I loved seeing Maggie grow and change. This is a very well written contemporary romance with some super-sexy scenes.
