Fated mates are something every shifter longs for. Right? Not Rylee ‘Dutchess’ West. The Fallen Legion MC’s princess would rather cut off her own arm than allow any man near her. Even the man she is fated to.
But you don’t always get what you want and soon she finds herself alone with Domenico Esposito, the head of the largest mafia family in the country. Things are complicated enough but there are other forces at work that neither of them are aware of.
Can two hearts mend each other or will the breakdown in communication keep them apart?

Opening the patio door, I step out into the warm midafternoon sun. I can hear the slosh of the water before I even lay eyes on him. Tipping my head back, I absorb the rays pounding down on me before I face him. My panther stirs in the back of my mind, and I contemplate letting her out for a run, but now is not the time.
I need to take care of business first. My feet carry me to the edge of the pool, where I have a clear view of the man who would be my mate. It definitely won’t be a chore to have to look at Domenico. The man is gorgeous.
His bulky form slices through the water smoothly, his bronze skin on display. Slickness gathers between my thighs as I watch his muscles move with every stroke through the water. I never pretended to be unaffected by him or even that I wasn’t attracted. Domenico is every woman’s wet dream, and if the situation were different, I would happily ride him like a pony.
“Rylee.”
The deep timbre of his voice invades my lust-addled brain. Looking down, I find him resting his elbows on the edge, his dark gaze glued to my face. Shaking myself out of my thoughts, I lean down.
“Do you need something?” he asks, a look of concern on his face.
I haven’t spoken to him since he left me alone in my new room. He doesn’t even join me for meals, although he said he would.
“No. But we do need to talk, Dom.”
“I thought we were done talking,” he says, pulling himself out of the water.
My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth at the sight of his bare chest, lightly dusted with dark hair. The damn V beside his hips leads into the green swim trunks that cling to his thick thighs. I stare at him far longer than I should allow.
“My eyes are up here,” Dom chuckles.
“I know,” I reply, giving him one last look over before returning my gaze to his face. “I need this mating,” I admit.
“And I need a mate that can stand me.” He runs a towel over his face and body before continuing. “Although, it seems you don’t find me completely disgusting.”
“Don’t be a prick, Dom,” I say, stepping into his space. “You’re hot as fuck, and you’re well aware of it. It’s not you. I didn’t want any man. I didn’t want a mate.”
A frown furrows his brow, his hands clenching at his side. “Do you care to explain that statement?”
I knew it was going to come down to this. Of course, he wouldn’t be happy with me giving the bare minimum. Domenico is the type of man who wants it all—my secrets, my worries, my heart, everything.
“There was a man before, my first mate…” My words are soft, the remembered pain thrumming through my veins once more. “He rejected me.”
“Jesus,” Dom curses. “Why? Why would he do such a thing?”
“I never bothered to ask.”
“He could have fucking killed you!”
Dom’s voice carries across the patio and into the garden. He paces away from me, visibly irate at my words. His breathing is harsh as he works through his anger before returning to me. Domenico grabs my face and slams his lips against mine, kissing me like he needs to make sure I’m real.
This is my first kiss, and although I am not exactly sure I know what to do, my body does. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I lift on my toes and press my chest against his. His body heat scorches me through my shirt.
The kiss is over too soon, and I want to stomp my foot like a child to show my displeasure. But Dom isn’t done. His fingers thread through my hair, and he tilts my head back, keeping me in place. His gaze scans my face before nodding.
“I want you, Rylee. God knows I do.” He grinds his erection against my stomach. “But I know you need time. You need to trust me before we can move forward with this.”
“Dom…” I groan his name.
“Let me finish.” He smiles softly. “Take some time and get to know me. Let me prove I can be a good mate for you, and then you can decide whether you really want to be my mate or not.”
“Are you sure?” I ask Dom softly.
“Time isn’t going to change how I feel about you,” he says calmly. “But it may change how you feel about me.”

Rayee and Domenico
Wow, what an exciting story. Dom is the head of the largest mafia family in America and Dutchess (Rylee) is the Fallen Legion MC's princess. Dom and Dutchess have amazing chemistry. Dutchess is having a hard time trusting Dom as she was rejected by a mate before. Dom is an OTT alpha male shifter and he doesn't want to give up on Dutches his mate. The storyline is gripping and I couldn't put the book down. I needed to find out if Dom was able to catch Dutchess and have their HEA. This was a well-written story and so well worth the read.

Lust and destruction
This is the second book in this series and I loved it. The mix of shifter and mafia for me personally is brilliant. I would love it if every book I read was like this. I love reading books by Lila Fox and this series is one of the best. If I had any criticism at all it would be that I wish the book was longer. I guess I’m greedy, if I’m reading a book that I like I just don’t want it to end and I always want her books to be longer. If you enjoy mafia books you will love this, it has a splash of shifter to keep us pnr lovers happy as well. I refuse to put spoilers in my reviews so I can’t tell you what happens but poor Rylee really goes through some tough times.

Domenico and Rylee. Hes the head of the largest mafia family in America. Shes the princess of the Fallen Legion MC. AND they are fated mates. She doesnt want a mate and hes obsessed with her and their chemistry is explosive. Loved this story. Its gripping from begining to end. Well written.

Exciting fated mates romance
This was an exciting fated mates romance with very strong and stubborn characters. Rylee, daughter to an MC prez, wants nothing to do with the MC, her first fated mate in the MC, her father and frankly, her second fated mate, Dom. Dom, new head of a mafia family, cleaning up his father's messes, knows Rylee is his fated mate but she resists. This is new for him and he has to learn to fight for and earn her trust. Communication is spotty, at first, for these two, but when danger steps in, they know what's important. I really enjoyed how this one unfolded. This was a good follow-up to book one and I can't wait for more ;D

This book was intense and amazing
Lust and Destruction was such a wild ride from beginning to end. I thought that the storyline was original, action packed, and page turning. The characters were complex, well written with steamy chemistry. This is a dark PNR romance with dark themes and topics. Read the CW at the beginning to see if this is a book for you. I absolutely love Jade Marshall and Lila Fox as authors. Their writing style is gritty, vivid in detail and has me all over the place with my feelings. I laughed, cried and fist-pumped for both characters in this book. Dutchess was a strong, independent and stubborn woman. I loved her determination to get what she wanted in life. Dom was dark, broody and totally obsessed with Dutchess with a whole lotta of possessiveness to boot. Their chemistry was explosive and heart wrenching. I thought their story was such a beautiful love story. I thought the twists and turns were unexpected and captivating.

Lust and destruction
This is a quick and easy shifter romance, and while it’s not the most detailed storyline, the plot is an interesting one. Rylee and Dom are mates, but Rylee is resistant to accepting it. Even though Dom has fallen for her and fallen hard, she continues to push him away. We learn the reasoning for her reluctance, but she never seems to comprehend that her actions are hurting Dom in the same way she was hurt when rejected by her first mate (before Dom). It brings up some interesting thought processes and emotions as she tries to make sense of her feelings. It combines shifter romance with MC clubs and Mafia to add tension and danger to the story. There was some unexpected betrayal and drama along the way, but eventually we got the happy ending I wanted for Rylee and Dom’s story.

Though I have read stories by Lila Fox this is a first for me from Jade and I must say I enjoyed the collaboration. It was hot but an emotional rollercoster too. Nice to see where the story goes next too

Rylee and Domenico
This is the second book in the Sins of the Father series. I went back and read book one prior to reading this story. This was a good decision since the characters had been introduced in the first book and there was a lot of crossover. This story is about Rylee 'Dutchess' the daughter of the Fallen Legion MC President. She is shocked to be the mate of Domenico the son of the local Mafia King. Their families have been sworn enemies for a long time. Dom was responsible for almost killing Rylee's brother and Dom's sister in the first book. Rylee is resistant to the mating match, the families are at odds, and Ryle has been keeping a secret from her own family. This was a fast read with lots of action. I really enjoyed the story and look forward to the next book.

Very good!
I wasn't sure about this at first... rejected mates always rips my heart out a little. But this was so good. Yea, ripped my heart out... Dom was kind of an idiot and he wasn't even the one rejecting. lol Like dude, did you see what she did just there!?!?!? But he made up for it for sure. They were soooo good together!!

Short, but fast-paced
After the sweetness of the first tale, this one was quite a bit combative. Not wanting to be beholden to another, but knowing in the soul it is inevitable, makes things extra difficult for Rylee, but Domenico is hooked and determined. It all comes together beautifully.

Dom and Rylee
Rylee is the club princess of the Fallen Legion MC. She is a panther shifter that her fated mate rejected her at eighteen. When Domenico Esposito says she is his fated mate, she wants no part of that, she does not want the pain. Dom is determined that she will be his, he just has to get her to agree. He just wishes he knew why she is fighting it? When her father forces her to accept him, Dom does not want that, he wants he of her own accord. Will he be able to get thru her walls?

Oeh La La
Wow what a great story this was, we follow Rylee and Dom and have several tropes in this book, the mafia, shifter part and enemies who later become lovers and much more. All this will keep you glued to your pages from the start. And it's quite a journey they go through to find out why Rylee doesn't want to be remembered. Highly recommended to read.

Lust & Destruction is the second book in the Sins of the Father Series. I enjoyed reading this story. The MCs were fated mates, but the FMC was having none of it. But once they got together, the chemistry was off the page. Loved it.

Fated, Mates
Rylee West is the daughter of the fallen Legion MC president. And ever since she found out her fated, Mates was Domenico Esposito who is the head of the largest mafia family in the country her father pushes her to mate him quickly to stop an all-out war between the families. But the problem she has been hurt in the past, so the idea of trusting a man again doesn’t sit well she doesn’t want her heart to be broken. The thing is that Dom wants her with all his heart can he get her to change her mind? I must admit, I really enjoyed this book and I like the twist. I thought Dom had loads of patience and he did everything right to get his woman. But could he keep her safe?? The passion these two share is off the charts, they make a brilliant couple who can do anything together! I can not wait for the next book in the series.

A Mafia MC shape-shifting book.
This is the second book of the series and I love it. I would just wanted to see more about the first rejection, like the reason behind it, because was hard for me to get that he was part of the kidnapping. But besides that, I really enjoy reading it.

Dutchess and Dom have some awesome spicy chemistry. Having been rejected by a mate before Dutchess fights the new mate call with Dom. She’s been hurt before and is afraid to feel that way again. Dom is a true alpha male shifter who doesn’t want to give up on his mate. The story line keeps you interested throughout the book. It’s not very long. But it is not rushed. I loved it. Make sure to read the book before this one too. Can’t wait for Cains book.

This is the second story in the series and can be read as a stand alone one. I enjoy both of these authors and like that they have paired up for a new series. This is a short and quick read that is addictive. It does have a kind of cliffhanger in the epilogue, setting up for the next story or mating. It does not detract from the story or leave you frustrated like some do. This one is about Rylee, daughter of the President of the Fallen Legion MC, and Domenico, mafia head of the Esposito crime family. Rylee is also the sister of Cain and Draven. Draven is mated to Dom's sister, Aryanna. Dom knows that Rylee is his mate and vice versa. Rylee has fought the mating because of past rejection and other things. This is an emotional read in some regards, with drama, passion, excitement, kidnapping, trust, betrayal and more. I enjoyed this story. I just wanted more. I wish it had gone into a little more detail about the rescue.

This was pretty good. But I liked Draven's story better. I loved Dom. He was perfect. He was as patient as he could be waiting for Rylee to accept him as her mate. I had mixed feelings for Rylee. She kept pushing Dom away, then she gets mad when he doesn't do what she wants. Come on! He was being patient and giving you time to figure out if you really wanted to be with him. SMH. I was disappointed that we didn't get to see Rylee's rescue. But their chemistry was amazing and I was glad to see them get everything figured out and on with their HEA.

A good book started out strong with a firey woman who owns a shop figting her attraction to her mate. Turns out the Mc and mafia want to join hands and some pushing and ultimatum later she is living with the man/shifter she is trying to stay away from. Overall a good book.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The story flowed really smoothly and was well written. The couple had very romantic moments and chemistry between them. I would recommend this book to others.

Trusting in your mate
Rylee has been hurt in the past and this thought process colours all of her decisions. This is a quick novella when Dom tries to change his mates mind. The scenes are steamy and sensual and the characters are resilient. If you like big Alpha heroes who will do anything for their mates then I would recommend that you read this book!

LOVE!!
I absolutely LOVED this! I did jump into this without starting at the beginning of the series. I believe this was book 2. I had no issue with missing information. The plot was well laid out regarding the previous characters enough that you’re not confused about what’s going on there when it’s brought up. There was a point where I felt majorly let down because it seemed like a big plot jump and missed information. It is gone over, but I do wish it was more detailed in the “current”. I enjoyed the characters. There wasn’t a point where I didn’t like them for one reason or another. I think their plot went smoothly and is believable as far as fictional relationship go.

I can only imagine the pain she has suffered from one rejection let alone being accused of the things she didn't after she marked her new mate but didn't get claimed back. So glad they worked things out in the end. I definitely cried with her.

Great story
Rylee swears off men, only when her fated mate comes along and is non other than Don head of the mafia. Dons never had someone say no like Rylee and seeing as she's his mate, she should be falling at his feet, but he's got his work cut put for him. Well written steamy fated mates romance.

DOM AND HIS DUCHESS
Dom and Rylee really have a rough start. I think Rylee had herself confused as to who her mate truly was. She fought for so long against another for fear of being hurt that I really thought she was going to push Dom away when he came to her. Lust And Destruction is quite the story and has plenty of surprises in store for readers.

Great Story and Storyline
This was a surprise story. I truly enjoyed and had a hard time putting, this book down. I loved Rylee and her trying to fight the attraction to her mate Dom. The whole story was really entertaining and of course when the decide to have sex the first time, very hot. I did not read the first book in this series but I didn't feel like I missed anything. Great story!!!

Read it in one sitting
What happens when two warring families are brought together by mating instinct? That's the premise behind this series from Lila and Jade. In book 2, we explore the match-up between Domenico, new head of the Esposito pack, and Rylee, the garage-owning princess of Fallen Legion MC. Rylee was rejected by her last potential mate, and brings that hurt into her relationship with Domenico...oddly enough treating Domenico the same way she was. Domenico, to his credit, never gave up, though I didn't love the 'well fine then, I'm done' interaction(s) he had with her. Not to worry, we get a HEA with this one as well as all the steamy scenes you can handle. While the paranormal piece is leveraged to move the enemies-to-lovers plot along, this book could easily have been written without it. It's a solid addition and I'm excited for book 3.

Wonderful Read Dom was trying to sort out the mess his father had created when he suddenly recognized his mate but his mate was having none of it. She didn’t want to know, he’d never had to work hard before to get a woman they fell at his feet so this was new to him but fall she would. After all they were meant to be together, he just needed to find another way to get her to trust him with her future. Ooh a hot, sultry read with wonderful characters that will melt your heart!
