Club Fray, 4

Newspaper intern Josie Stranger has one mission: walk into Fray and get the goss, enough to ruin the notorious club owner who runs the shifter community like his own private mafia. A shifter who can’t quite change, her misability gains her entry into Fray’s Christmas Wish party where every fantasy comes true.

Knox Townsend’s only been on Fray’s security team for a few weeks. All he wants for Christmas is for a cute little submissive he can toss in his Santa sack and spirit away for a night of private play, and Fray's party provides the opportunity for him to find his furry match.

When Josie Stranger walks into his chest, he’s ready to give her the Christmas wish she doesn’t know she craves—until his night of fun jeopardizes Fray and everyone in the community he’s vowed to protect.

Be Warned: BDSM, sex toys, kidnapping kink

Excerpt:

I glared at her, seething inside and out. How fucking stupid had I been? Not on duty and had a few drinks to boot. It was like I’d given her an open door to come in and homewreck the whole damn place. “What are you?” I snapped in her face, not giving her a chance to answer. “Undercover cop? Lawyer? Reporter?”

Her face whitened further, though it should have been impossible, and I swore.

“I— I— I—”

“Stop fucking stuttering at me and tell me who you are, Josie,” I snarled.

The sweet and sharp tang of her fear boiled my blood and hardened my cock all at once. I gripped the shelf behind her head hard enough to warp the thing out of shape. Better it than her. All tied up like a Christmas turkey I wanted to stuff, except that she wasn’t. Josie was prey, though more than that—there was something not quite right about her. I leaned in closer and inhaled her, then drew back in shock. “You’re only half?”

“Shifter? No, I’m full. Bit broken, though. I can get furry, but not change. I can’t.” She looked up at me shyly. Red stained her cheeks in a deep shadow that tracked down her throat and blazed across the tops of her bare breasts.

I gripped the shelf all the harder and willed myself not to worship the gorgeous little creature before me.

A sly and gorgeous shifter who could bring everything Rafe and Killian had built crashing around us all in a burning torrent. Part of me hoped she was a cop because then it would just be me who burned, though for more than one reason. The idea of taking handcuffs from her and reversing the roles only hardened my resolve—yeah, that’s what I’m going with—to work her out.

One mind shift, and she became a puzzle to solve.

Time to play that game again.

I unhooked stiff fingers from the shelving and trailed them over her breast, along her stomach. My knuckles grazed her navel. “Cop?”

“No.” She shook her head, adamant.

That was good. Good and bad. But she answered me. I dropped my hand lower and stroked her clit lightly, teasing.

She swayed at my touch, her mouth half open. A breath kissed my lips, but there was no sigh on it. Yet.

“Lawyer?”

“No. Don’t have the smarts—ohhh.”

There it was, that little whimper when I slid my fingers along her slick, swollen flesh. Her thighs quivered as I nudged her legs wider, and she let me.

Not a cop, not a lawyer, and while she could be just a curious cat out for a night’s play, I didn’t think so. She’d come here with a mission in mind, so frazzled at Killian’s mini-interrogation that she’d thrown down any answer on the page.

My gut curled at that. It meant she didn’t share my kink, or maybe she just thought she didn’t. The way her body responded to me, to the situation I’d put her in, said differently.

I should cut her down and hand her straight over to Rafe. Walk the fuck away. But I couldn’t. I wasn’t ready to give up my little toy, not yet.

Which left… “Reporter, then.” I didn’t bother to phrase it as a question. Her eyes never widened, and her mouth didn’t pop opening in a sweet-as-fuck little O shape. She knew I’d ask, and she’d been waiting.

Still, we were playing my favorite game.

“Yes.” Another breathy admission, and the one I needed.

“Good girl.”

A Club Fray Novel
Written by Coffey68 on 17th Feb 2023

Kidnapped by Claws is a Club Fray Christmas novella. It can be read as a stand alone, but it's much better if you start at the beginning of the series. This is a BDSM Shifter romance- not a combination you see all that often but the author totally pulls it off.

A fab read!
Written by Tasha1986 on 17th Feb 2023

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and because of this, some of the backstory from previous books might have been needed. Despite that I think it’s a fantastic read and I’m definitely planning on reading the previous books now.

Finally Home!!!!!
Written by Beast's Beauty on 12th Jan 2023

This was short erotic read. FMC was little out of her depth upon entering all due to she didn't feel as though she fir in any where - the humans didn't know she was a shifter and her family of shifters didn't want her cause she couldn't shift all the way. Josie was told to get dirt on Club Fray and Rafe, the owner. She knew what the club was but she needed to write a piece so she could finish her schooling. Little did she know that night would change on a single breath. Knox has a very terrifying kink- he like to terrorize his sub but by mistake or the will the fates he gets Josie, an innocent young girl who has no clue she is about to discover not only her kink but her new found family. This is the first book I have read by this author and I will definitely be reading more.

Knox is on Frays security for a short time, but is on his day off when Josie comes to the club. It is Christmas time and Knox is hoping to find a sub willing to play out his kidnapping fantasy. She is a reporter with a mission to learn about the club, instead she finds her inner kink awakened by Knox. Really enjoyed this story and would recommend it.

I'm loving this series... An excellent addition to the series, Josie and Knox's story is spicy, with doses of sweetness and vulnerability. I like the characters and the kind of shapeshifters they are... that always amazes me. I can't wait for the next one!

Short Story
Written by Jeanne R on 12th Jan 2023

This is the third book I've read written by Sofia Aves; it’s written under the pen name Raven Hush; I can’t wait to read more of her books. This is the third book in the Club Fray Series; it is a stand-alone short story. The story is about Josie & Knox; she’s a news intern trying to get the information needed to ruin the club owner; he’s a new security guard that runs into her and puts the club in danger. I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.

Steamy and Hot
Written by Danee on 12th Jan 2023

Club Fray is a great series and this is the fourth book. If you like Shifter stories then this is definitely one you should read. Josie is a shifter but has never done it and is in Fray to cover the Christmas party there and also meets Knox there. Their story will keep you glued to your book. I also say read quickly. I liked the Christmas touch in a shifter story.

Quick and spicy
Written by RahiaLeight on 12th Jan 2023

As with the others in this series, it's a really fast read. No muss, it's insta. Knox is probably the darkest dom so far, at least IMHO. Nice little holiday kick to the story. Steamy with a touch of fear. My only complaint is that we didn't get to follow the van and complete the fantasy.

Knox and Josie
Written by casvec on 12th Jan 2023

Knox's box has given him the night off to play at the club. He has a kink that most are not into, and it is hard for him to find the right partner. Josie is an intern that might be in over her head. With their paths cross at the club, a misunderstanding takes a heat turn to heated passion and explosive chemistry that has the pages burning in your fingers.

‘Napped In Santa’s Sack
Written by JennT on 12th Jan 2023

Josie has been sent to Club Fray to investigate and write an exposé. However, when she signs in, she selects kidnapping as a kink, and Knox takes full advantage. I thought their play was pretty darn hot, and while their relationship went from zero to sixty in the matter of a couple hours, it was a pretty wild ride. An entertaining story.

Good festive read but over too quick
Written by Ruthiec on 12th Jan 2023

Enjoyed this book but I felt it was rushed and could have been longer and play scene longer we never got to find it what Josie ticked on her form so a few loose ends and felt ending was rushed it needed those details to get a better rating

Kidnapped by Claws
Written by Fairytales4Ever on 7th Jan 2023

Good short story with high heat. A different BDSM theme, with a bit of a kidnapping kink. This book would not be recommended for someone not OK with BDSM as it’s heavy throughout. The characters are good and have a bit of an instalove connection. The story has a happy ending.

Good, fast read
Written by vickymeowmeow on 7th Jan 2023

The characters in the club are all very likable and this story focuses on knox's kink and his finding a forever Sub in Josie. It is very quick the bondage is very well described with lots of hot foreplay. The romance is instant and unexpected for both of them. There is also a hint of the next book included.

Josie is a shifter, but she hasn't fully shifted. She gets into a Christmas party at Fray because she is being made to do a story on it. Knox is off work for the night and looking for some enjoyment. Josie stuck out and drew him to her. Will he learn why she is there? Will Josie find more than she bargained for at Fray? This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Knox and Josie
Written by kymagirl on 1st Jan 2023

Josie, a wallaby shifter who can’t fully shift, finagles her way into the Christmas party at Fray, a BDSM club for shifters, to get a story for the newspaper she interns at. Knox, a Tasmanian devil shifter who’s part of the club’s security, is off duty for the night and hopes to find the submissive who check the boxes he’s interested in. Josie doesn’t pay too much attention to what kinks she listed on her club form and quickly finds herself hauled off by Know for an evening of play. But he quickly suspects something is off about Josie and sets about getting to the bottom of things. Ultra-hot and steamy Christmastime quickie with a Santa intent on abducting his submissive for some back room fun.

Oh so naughty and sweet HEA.
Written by Sarah ES on 1st Jan 2023

I loved this oh so naughty and deliciously dark book. The characters were oh so hot and delicious especially the brothers. I really wish that Josie would have gotten her fantasy fulfilled in the book with the 2 guys, but it was still a very spicy short story. The whole kidnapping and breath play sounded intense, but was so steamy and fun to read about. I have really enjoyed all of the Club Fray books.

If you like your Christmases with a bit of kink then this book is for you Club Fray is inadvertently saved by employee Knox when he targets a wannabe reporter at the Christmas wish party. She, Josie, has some serious kink awakened by Knox, and finding their likes are compatible pursues Knox rather than her newspaper scoop. This is a great short story to spice up your Xmas period. It can be read as a standalone or part of the series. Enjoy!

Club Fray, book four.
Written by Juliet18 on 14th Dec 2022

Knox and Josie are incredible characters. This is the first book I have read in the Club Fray series, even though it is the fourth book, I did not feel lost reading this one first. I definitely feel like going back and reading the first three books in the series because this book was so great. Knox and Josie meet by chance, are perfect for each other. A quick, but entertaining read.
