An Intense Read....
Jeanette’s only goal is to find the person who killed her sister’s killer and possibly get revenge. She goes to the last place she knows her sister worked. If she can get a job there, she thinks she will be able to find the information she needs to expose those responsible. Ty is the second in charge of The Cleaners and he’s no Prince Charming. He makes no excuses for the things he’s done and would do them all again. She has no idea what she’s in for when she auditions for a job but it’s not that simple and she’s not prepared to be locked up when they discover who she is. When they tell her why her sister was killed and what she was involved in Jeanette must face that her sister may not have been the person she thought she was. When she finally submits to Ty and is able to leave the prison she’s been in and she’s able to come face to face with the person who actually killed her sister she has to make the decision of whether or not she will protect the man she loves or if she will turn them in and potentially end up dead, just like her sister. I’m a fan of Doris O’Connor and the books she writes. This book is well written and the characters are well developed. I will say that this book falls into the category of ‘dark erotica’ or ‘dark romance’, however you want to categorize it. While it’s not even close to what some people would consider dark or what I would even consider extremely dark, I would say that if stories like that bother you or aren’t your type of story that this isn’t the book for you.
