What a wonderful instant love story. After Elijah helps Josie in a snowstorm the two find exactly what they need in each other. A quick standalone that is a perfect easy read. Classic sam crescent. I enjoyed it!

“Here, put these on,” he said. “Throw your clothes to the doorway, I’ll grab them, and wash them.” He moved away.
“Josie,” she said.
He stopped and turned toward her.
“My name is Josie Moor, thank you for coming out when you did.” She held her hand out and he took it, feeling that spark.
His balls started to tingle.
“Elijah Snow,” he said.
“It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Snow.”
“Elijah, please, and it’s a pleasure.” He pulled his hand away even though all he wanted to do was pull her against him and run his hands all over her body, touch her, strip her completely naked. Instead, he moved to the doorway and waited.
Each time he heard a sharp intake or a grunt, he wanted to turn toward her and ask if she needed help, but he didn’t think that was appropriate, so he stayed perfectly still.
Waiting.
Still fucking waiting.
And then, her clothes landed beside him. He bent down, picked them up, and carried them to his laundry room. Her clothes were still warm. Lifting them up, he pressed them against his nose and inhaled her soft, female scent. Beautiful.
What the fuck was happening to him? Sniffing a stranger’s clothes. He truly had gone mad. There was no other word for it. He’d never done such a thing before in his life.
He threw her clothes into the washing machine, put on the correct cycle, added in some detergent, and then got the wash started. Elijah stayed in the laundry room, glancing around to see if there was any other kind of work he could do. There was nothing. Fuck. Shit.
Heading back to the room, he was tempted to walk in, but that wouldn’t be very gentlemanly.
You’re not a gentleman.
“Are you … dressed?”
Now, all he wanted to do was see how good she looked without her clothes on. He imagined she had full breasts, a beautiful ass, and hips made to be held while he fucked her.
“Yes, I’m dressed.”
So not fucking fair.
He didn’t say a word, and instead entered the room to find that Buster, his gorgeous and loyal Labrador, had decided to go and sniff her.
Josie smiled at his dog. “You’re so cute.” She leaned down and pressed a kiss to his head.
Of course, Buster just loved the attention and rested his face on her knees.
“He is so gorgeous,” she said.
Elijah smiled. “I got him from a pup. Well, I got him and his sister, who is upstairs on my bed. She’s a little grumpy when we have company.”
“You have two dogs?”
“Yeah, found the two of them wandering around outside a couple of years ago. I was looking to get me some dogs, and it seemed like fate. So, I took them in and they’ve been mine ever since.”
“I never had a dog,” Josie said. “I’ve always wanted one.”
He saw the smile on her face drop and he also noticed how tired and worn down she looked. Elijah recognized that all too well.
They heard the sound of padding feet and he found Trixie, his brown Labrador. Buster was a beautiful golden color. She looked toward Josie and gave a sniff.
He laughed. “Go on, girl, you know you want to be petted. She’s a jealous kind.”
Josie kept one hand on Buster, and with the other she stroked Trixie. “So cute. Both of you are.”
And his dogs adored her.

This is the 31st book in this series, and this is Elijah and Josie’s story. As Josie’s 30th birthday approached, she realizes that all she has is work, with no family or friends, and she needs to make a drastic change, and she takes herself on a well warned vacation. While Josie is out hiking, she is caught unaware by a freak snowstorm, and Elijah a mountain man, comes to her rescue and takes her to his cabin. This is a fast paced, quick read, which has emotions, passion, humor, and love, which leads to a sweet and entertaining page turner. Josie is an overworked, stress, lonely woman. She decides to vacation in a cabin. During a walk she gets caught up in a snowstorm. She is rescued by Elijah who use to have the same busy, hectic life of Josie. They have instant sexual attraction which they don’t fight. Now later as the snow melts Josie has to decide whether to stay with Elijah or return back to her previous life. This a great book about people reevaluating their life and realizing they need to slow down and enjoy the simple things. Great book. There is a lot, a lot of sexy, steamy moments.

Josie gets stuck in a bad snowstorm and thinks she is going to die. However. Elijah pops up out of nowhere and rescues her. Sparks fly between them and soon they are getting to know one another better. Neither wants the storm to stop because they are enjoying being together. Will they admit to how they feel? This is an amazing story that will draw you in from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Josie and Elijah’s story has them meeting while she’s hiking and gets stuck out in the woods when she takes a vacation. He heard her screaming and takes her back to his home. The attraction was steamy and now they are falling. Will these two get their hea. A good fast paced, chemistry induced and dramatic story that will leave you thinking these two belong together

I enjoyed this quick read by Sam Crescent. It was a good “palate cleanser” so to speak. There was nothing too heavy. No OW/OM drama. Highly recommend if you’re someone who generally reads plot heavy darker romance, but want something light & quick to read.

This story isn’t as dark as this authors other stories. It is a fast paced story and takes place over a short span of time. I like how the story ends and it is definitely a happy ending. It is a good story to curl up and read when it is cold out

Their story is a short steamy well written one that held my interest. I received a copy of this book via Evernight and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Kindred soul
I can relate to what the FMC and the MMC is feeling. I found myself nodding my head and agreeing that work can take over your life without you noticing it. They not only found a kindred soul in the other but love, too. It was kinda funny, they wanted the same thing but found different avenues for that dream to come true. It's a happy ending for our couple and she found the life she wants in him.

I loved this book and the author is an all-time favourite of mine. It was captivating and very well written! There is steaminess galore, attraction is undeniable and the characters are awesome! Her Hero is an enthralling, yet hot, endearing and steamy love story that will pull at your heartstrings. It is a must read book.

Great story
This was a great story about a gal looking to change her life and being brave enough to reach for what would make her happy. Josie was a work-aholic and took a mountain vacay to find some inner peace and a direction to move her life forward that would be meaningful and satisfying. Of course, an unexpected snow storm opened the opportunity to meet and be rescued by Eli, a gruff mountain man. He had lived her life of fast-paced work work work and made a huge change years ago. Thankfully, their chemistry was hot enough to let her voice the wish to be together and he was totally onboard ;) I enjoyed the fab HEA that ensued :D

Trapped in a snow storm
I think Josie represents what many of us feel every day - working life away and forgetting to really live. Elijah is the other side of that coin. I loved the tale. It’s a good reminder to step back and breathe. Fast moving short read. Loved it!

AWESOME book
Josie has been by herself for a very long time all she knows is work. So when she had an epiphany she decided to rent a cabin to get back to nature and herself. Little did she know that on one of her hikes she would get injured and the weather turned really bad. Until she thinks she sees someone and calls out for help. Elijah is use to the weather up in the mountains he is so use to it he can tell when and how long bad weather will be/take. So he goes out before the weather gets too bad only to hear someone call out for help. With these two it's instant connection, but with her being a city girl Elijah doesn't want to come on too strong and scare her. Josie doesn't know where to go with her life. But one sure thing does go right they both admit that they want each other and when they allow a taste it's hot ?.

I loved it. No complicated plotlines, nothing to distract them from falling in love. And the dogs. *sigh* I love that they are part of the love story. I would love to be trapped in a snowstorm with Elijah.

This book was amazing!! The love the characters felt and the spice make it page turning! Elijah saved Josie from a snowstorm and but she works a lot and he lives in a place without Internet. Will they find a way to stay together? I wish it would of been a little bit longer but overall amazing!

This is instalove at its very finest, and so steamy I’m surprised my kindle isn’t reduced to ashes (worth it). There’s not a lot of story line but honestly you can read this and see the unwritten parts. Just grab a copy you really won’t be disappointed.

Loved it This was such a good book. It's on the shorter side but it packs a lot of emotion in it. Josie is a workaholic who doesn't take time for herself. But that is about to change as she finds herself in danger. Enter Elijah who comes into the picture when she finds herself in danger. Quick read full of all the steamy scenes I expect for Ms. Crescent.

Josie meets Elijah while a snow storm threatens her life. She’s on her first vacation in years: workaholic who feels her life is passing away. He’s off the grid and living a wonderful life with the exception of a love of his life. The couple are physically attracted to each other and their sexual relationship is deeply satisfying. Sam is absolutely one of my favorite authors! Characters you care about, dialogue that’s extremely well written, and settings and/ or situations that help define the plot. This story is so good and the ending so sweet.

Snow storm
Finally taking a vacation Josie gets stuck in a freak storm and Elijah rescues her. Stuck together they quickly fall for each other. I enjoyed this story but wish that there was a bit more to their life current story.

I absolutely love this type insta-love story from Sam. I feel like these are the type of stories that hooked me on her storytelling. Josie and Elijah were a great story to tell. I love the build up and the coming together (?). They were perfect and it wasn't drawn out but the ending brought it all together nicely. I love Sam's longer books as well but these are quick, fun reads.

This book was just another amazingly wonderfully written book by author!
Josie and Elijah had off the charts chemistry and the storyline was just purely wonderful. I have read most of this authors books and every story is simply wonderful. I really loved how the author wrote this story and it was a fairly quick read but it was definitely not lacking in the steaminess department.

Finding balanace in life
Josie was so lost and so cold. Never hike when you don’t check the weather. She was luck that Elijah found her. With a twisted ankle and freezing, Eli had to get her warmed up. They both have things in common. They are both workaholics and missing life. Eli found his path he wants Josie to be part of it. This is a short story. I have to say I was a workaholic too. Letting life pass me by. You have to stop and smell the roses.

Josie is an artist at an advertising firm with workaholic tendencies and general dissatisfaction with life. For her thirtieth birthday, she rents a cabin with a stunning countryside view. A snowstorm catches her off guard while she is out exploring, and she hurts her ankle. Elijah finds her and takes her to his cabin. He is instantly attracted to her, and they find they share similar backgrounds. He is possessive and sweet with her and has great chemistry. This is a short one-hour escape that I enjoyed.
