Christmas is fast approaching and Smokey wants to do something special for his woman. With all the bad memories within the clubhouse, he wants to replace them with good ones. The only way to do that is to turn his clubhouse into a wonderland. He needs the whole club's help and he doesn’t want Ava to know what he's planned. This will be the perfect surprise.

Ava doesn’t know why Smokey is acting strange. When Harlow also starts to lie and disappear, she wonders what's going on. She never imagined Smokey cheating, but when she sees Harlow and Smokey hugging, she has to wonder if he's having an affair. After everything they'd gone through, she never expected him to cheat.

All Smokey wants to do is celebrate Christmas with his woman. To give her memories that wipe out the bad ones he caused, but everything is falling apart. He would never cheat on her. Ava is his soul mate. His reason for fucking breathing. And he can never lose her.

 

Excerpt:

“You know I don’t answer by special request,” Carlos said, standing in Smokey’s doorway.

Smokey looked up from his desk toward the mafia man. Carlos, like ever, was wearing a designer suit, and he looked pissed off. The only disruptive parts of the whole asshole image were the little girls he held in both of his arms, Winter and Summer.

That must have meant Carlos had come to pick up Raven. Being married to Carlos meant she had no choice but to divide her time between the club and his mafia world as his woman. It had been a transition, but Raven had handled it. He made sure to keep a close eye on Raven because he didn’t want her to ever feel alone or left again.

She had been through so much already. He wouldn’t fuck up again.

“What do you have planned for Christmas?” Smokey asked, putting down his pen.

“I did originally plan for a nice long Christmas with my wife, my two girls, at my private island. Lots of sun, a few nannies to help us. Spending all the time with my wife.”

“Originally?”

“Raven will not spend Christmas where it’s hot. That’s what she said. She likes her festive season to be freezing, with the chance of snow, and she has also informed me that we’re going to be spending it here.” Carlos looked at the office with such disdain.

“Anyone ever tell you that you’re a snob?”

“Many times, and see how I don’t give a flying fuck.” Carlos pressed a kiss to his daughters’ heads. “So, tell me, Smokey, why am I spending Christmas here?”

“You don’t have to, but I know my woman would like to have Raven for Christmas. You’ve got a lifetime with Raven.”

“And you’ve got a lifetime with Ava.”

“You didn’t fuck up with your woman.”

“Wrong, I did fuck up with my woman, which is why I have no choice but to make up for it now. It’s why I will be spending Christmas here, and I’ll even be happy about it.”

“Good.” Smokey wasn’t too pleased to have the mafia man.

“But a little warning, there is a chance Sebastian Drago might also be joining us, but again, I will add him as our plus-one.”

“This is not a fucking hotel.”

“I know, trust me, this would be the last place I’d pick, but this is Raven’s home, and she does love it here.” Carlos shook his head. “My woman is a fucking queen, and she wants to stay here.”

“Again, she could stay without you.”

“Not happening. Where my woman goes, I go. It’s as simple as that.”

One of the babies started to make some noise, a little gurgling sound, and Smokey smiled. He adored Winter and Summer. Raven’s daughters were so incredibly sweet.

“They are the best part about you,” Smokey said.

“At least something we could agree on.” Carlos nodded at him and then left.

It wasn’t long before Hunter arrived in his office. “Slow day. Slow week. Anything you have for me?” He took a seat opposite him.

“Yeah, I need you to arrange to have all of this stuff delivered to the clubhouse within the next week.”

Hunter reached out, taking the list. “Wreathes, tinsel, baubles, twinkle lights. Seriously, Smokey, is this some kind of joke?”

“I’m going to keep Ava away from the clubhouse for the next couple of weeks. I want the clubhouse decorated, and the only way to do that is to buy the stuff.”

“Then get one of the sluts to do it.”

“No!” Smokey slammed his hand down on the desk. “I want you and the guys to do it. Not the bitches who don’t give a shit about my woman.” He wanted this to be a surprise for his woman, not for her to get involved or to think there was something else going on at the club.

“I’m sorry, man. You’re right, and I’ll get to this right away. Do you have any preference?”

“Shit has to be festive. That’s all I know.”

“Have you thought about asking Ava? She would know what she’d like more than us.”

“I want it to be a surprise.” He ran his fingers through his hair. “For her, she deserves to have a Christmas to remember, and for this place to stop being the horror show it is.” He had thought about burning the place down to the ground and building it back up, but that was a lot of fucking work.

Hell's Bastards MC Christmas Special by Sam Crescent. Book 4 of Hell's Bastards MC. Christmas is fast approaching and Smokey wants to do something special for his woman. With all the bad memories within the clubhouse, he wants to replace them with good ones. The only way to do that is to turn his clubhouse into a wonderland. He needs the whole club's help and he doesn’t want Ava to know what he's planned. This will be the perfect surprise. I really really enjoyed this book. Great story and characters especially Smokey Ava Harlow Hunter. I do hope there is more to come. 5*.

This is the fourth book in this incredible series, and this is a great catch up with all the members. Smokey is planning as surprise for Ava, to create some new memories, and he is turning the clubhouse onto a Christmas wonderland, and all the members are sworn to secrecy. However, Ava is thinking the worst with all the secrecy. This is a well written story which is a fun and quick read, with humor, witty banter, emotions, intrigue, and love, which leads to a compelling page turner. The road to hell . . .

Is paved with good intentions . . . and Smokey has the best of intentions when it comes to giving Ava a wonderful Christmas surprise to help replace her memories of the clubhouse with good ones. But in true Bastards fashion things don’t go as planned. The ending though is perfect! i loved this look back at the members from the series and hope there will be more to come.

I was so excited to get a Hell's Bastards Christmas special book. I loved seeing all the characters we've previously met and there's two couples who I can't wait to see what happens in their story. This book mainly focused on Smokey and Ava and Smokey's guilt about the past. Exciting story! Can't wait for the next book.

A very good book

This book was a fun and really good book though I read it before Christmas. Smokey the President wants to do something special for Ava his wife and that is turning the clubhouse into Christmas land. The bikers are getting trees and decorating them along with the clubhouse. The problem is he is stressing everyone out because he wants it perfect yet most don’t even know what it is to look like. Then poor Ava because Smokey won’t talk to her or get down their own decorations from the attic thinks he does not love her anymore and has found a new woman. They began to fight or she does. A really good story of having a group of bikers working at decorating in real life would just be funny. A very good book and would even be worth the read now.

This short, fun Christmas novella is for the HB MC fans. Everyone is in it, Raven & Carlos, Ugly Beast & Abriana, and of course Smokey & Ava. Many other secondary characters from the series are also in it including Hunter, Big Dick, Harlow and Larissa. The main story is about Smokey planning a surprise Christmas at the clubhouse for Ava, but there is also the set ups for future books about Hunter and Big Dick. While Sam includes enough for someone who hasn’t read the earlier books in the series, a lot of significance will be missed if they haven’t. It goes without saying it’s filled with spoilers for the first three books as well. It’s really best if you read the other books first and save this as a special treat for afterwards. My only real complaint is we never actually got to see them open Christmas presents!

I have to be honest, I've only read one of these books in this series and I still loved this story. You really do need to read the series before this one. I enjoyed the story but I would of gotten more out of it if I had read all of the books in this series. That being said I still loved it and these characters. Makes me want to go and finish reading this series.

This was a good one, I liked how the characters came together and how the story played out. I did enjoy how the story played out even though the main females thought her man was running around on her and how he thought he was going to ruin everything even though he was just trying to do something nice for his girl. The ending was perfect and just in time for Xmas.

Smokey has the best intentions when he set about having a Christmas holiday for Ava at the club house to give her good memories instead of his betrayal. He went about it the wrong way and his miscommunications had Ava thinking another woman was involved! His weird behavior didn't help. Is there trouble in paradise and will these two get back on track and back to happiness.

Smokey is trying to surprise Ava but there are so many surprises and hurt emotions. When the truth comes to light, it’s beautiful. This MC is incredible. Although this is technically a stand-alone, I’d suggest reading the others in the series first to make it amazing

I am not familiar with this author and series. I was interested because of MC connection. I enjoyed this story about Smokey trying to please and surprise Ava and at times backfires. However as I do know the background issues it was difficult at times to understand the references to earlier incidents. Other couples are mentioned and there are obviously budding attraction and relationships between certain people. Loved the references to Abriana's cooking skills which provide the perfect ending to the story. There is love and lust, caring and sharing, irritating behaviour and stand offs, but it is entertaining.

Oh I love this! All the Hell's Bastards united to celebrate Christmas. While my favorite couple is Ugly Beast and Abriana, I love that the story is centered around Smokey and Ava, there's so much to their history that it's interesting to know... Especially with the guilt that continues to gnaw at Smokey. A family reunion, with a little bit of angst. I like that Smokey and Ava continue on their path to healing. And some surprises from other club members... Steamy, festive and sweet.

Sometimes best intentions can go terribly wrong. All Smokey wants is to give Ava a great Christmas since some of her memories at the clubhouse hasn’t been all that great. Now with Smokey keeping secrets and Harlow working side by side with him to put this all together for Ava things just don’t look good. Ava has suspicions about Smokey and Harlow. This was a great little Christmas MC book that had that good feeling vibe.

I enjoyed this story and sure it's set around the holidays . This is the story of Ava and Smokey. The storyline and the characters keep you glued to the story from start to finish. Sometimes I could hit Smokey in the head and scream learn to talk, but despite that, the chemistry and attraction between Ava and Smokey is palpable and very hot. I love MC stories.

Smokey has a lot to make up for Smoky decides that the MC clubhouse is going to be turned into this magical Christmas atmosphere so that he can show Ava how much she means to him. The only problem with doing a surprise is that trying to hide this from your loved ones can sometimes make you tell little white lies and if you’re caught out in this lies what do you imagine will be going through that persons head?? So smokey is all out to make this special for her. But in doing so surely involved gets mixed up with his lies. My heart goes out for both Eva and Smokey, Smokey hasn’t forgiven himself for what happened to Ava at the clubhouse. He still sees images of her and he absolutely adores her with all his heart. Ava has forgiven him for everything that happened and is enjoying life with Smokey and their son. But she wants Smokey to be a man he was and not treat her like she would break but under it all they do love one another. This is a very good read.

Poor Smokey. This is one time I actually felt bad for him. He doesn’t think he will ever atone enough for what he put Ava through. He’s willing to do anything no matter how crazy the MC members thinks it makes him look in order for Ava to know how he feels. Due to this desperation he screws up evened more. Shocker. It leads Ava to believe he is cheating and that couldn’t be further from what is happening. This is Smokey’s version of a winter wonderland. He wants it perfect for his woman and pulls out all the stops.

I wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone! If you're looking for an easy to follow, hot, steamy, sexy, smooth flowing read that captures your attention from the start. Congratulations my friends you've found it. The characters and scenes are realistic and believable. Twists and turns and unpredictable surprises that kept my eyes on the pages and on the edge of my seat.

This book was sweet (in a MC kinda way), a great read and it added some easter eggs to leave us guessing as to what is going to happen next! I am so glad the author decided on writing this story!!!

This is a couple you can like and easily root for. The story follows Smokey and Ava. You need to read the books in order. He want to repay her for all she had done for him, for all she had sacrificed and so he decided to give her the Christmas she has always dreamed of. The club and various friends all helped bring Christmas to the Hell’s Bastards clubhouse. Now Ava is having seconds thought as Smokey may love her but he doesn’t voice it and wouldn’t you know, couldn’t be at a worse time, she is doubting them. The story is good, but I just can’t warrant the steep 6 buck fee in Canada for 80 pages. I mean, come on!

Firstly, if you haven’t read the first three books, I recommend you do so. Smokey is a must for sure. Smokey is still holding on to guilt from what happened in his book and wants to through an amazing Christmas for Ava. However things get turned around and Ava believes he’s having an affair. It was a nice little novella for the series. Cant wait to see what’s next!

A sweet Christmas story. Smoky is trying to put together a surprise Christmas for Ava to make up for all him mistakes with her. Now Ava knows something is going on and a lie makes the rounds that Smoky is cheating on her. Ava is second guessing Smokey's feeing and doubting their relationship. Smokey learns his lesson about trying to surprise Ava and he needs to let go of his guilt so that Ava can move on. This was a very heartwarming Christmas story.

But in trying to keep it away from her, she thinks he’s having an affair and doesn’t want her like that anymore. He only knows that she is the reason he lives and breathes but will he let go of the guilt he Carrie’s so she can heal and move forward she has already forgiven him.

This is a good Christmas story that takes a detour of mistrust, self-doubt only to be righted by love. Smokey knows he did not treat Ava right, but now he is determined to make sure she has a good Christmas. While he is being secretive, Ava sees what he is doing another way, leave her not sure who she can trust. Good addition to series and wonderful read.

Before reading Hell's Bastards Christmas Special, if you have not read the previous books I would at least recommend you check out Smokey (the second in this series). Because Smokey and Ava, the main couple in this book, everything that Smokey is doing and why is not explained because it's already been played out in their book. It's Christmastime! Smokey and Ava are finally trying to move on and have their happy family after everything that has happened between them and the issues in Raven's book. However, while Ava has forgiven everyone that was involved, Smokey still feels guilty for doubting her and putting her in the position she's in with the people inside the club and her uncomfortableness within the club. Ava's made it known that Christmas is one of her favorite times of year, so Smokey is determined to make this Christmas one that she won't ever forget. But all the secrecy and guilt that Smokey feels start to have Ava second guessing everything she thought she would never doubt. Doubting herself, their relationship, and even some friendships. Is Smokey once again bound to mess up with Ava?

This book, wow, it's quite simply FABULOUS. Smokey is continuing to feel he must make up for his past mistakes with Ava. However Ava herself has moved on from their past and just wants his love, passion and to be reassured they will be together, forever. Poor Smokey continues to make mistakes is ignoring his club members who try to get him to accept Ava is ok. I suggest that you must read Smokey for reading this book so you have the background to their story. Overall, this book was an addictive read, that I read in one sitting. It's passionate, it's highly emotional (I cried, often) and the ending had me swooning. I'll say it again, I loved this book

Smokey trying to get over his guilt

Oh Smokey...We want to love him, but he just makes it so dang hard! He has such a deep seeded guilt (which he should) and he is trying to find a way to make Ava feel less edgy around his club. Ava is amazing, she is tough and has the amazing capability to forgive. Smokey is so in love and is trying his hardest to make it work. This was a great follow up to their love story. You need to read Smokey before reading this book.

I enjoyed the story. I liked how Smokey is trying to surprise Ava but things don’t go as smoothly as he had planned. There are misunderstandings, hurt feelings but eventually everything is explained and the surprise is priceless. There are hints that there are other stories coming in regards to other bikers meeting their special someone which should make for good reading. Ava and Smokey’s story is worth reading. Sam Crescent is one of my favorite authors in this genre and she hasn't disappointed with this Christmas book about Smokey and Ava. Smokey is acting Squirrelly as is Harlow. Ava is wondering what is going on. Smokey hasn't a clue and manages to make a drama out of a well intentioned gesture. You should read the previous books in the series prior to this one to get the background.

Hell's Bastard MC Christmas Special is a novella set in the Hell's Bastards MC series by Sam Crescent. If you are new to Sam Crescent's writing world, like me, I highly recommend you do what I should have done first and read Smokey, book 2 in the Hell's Bastard MC series. I fell like I am missing out on a crazily epic romance! I'm heading on over to amazon to purchase the first few books in this series and bingeing them ASAP!! If you're not new to the Hell's Bastard MC Series and you love this series, I have a very strong feeling you are going to fall head over boots in love with Smokey and Ava all over again!! This novella definitely has me intrigued and looking forward to diving into the MC lifestyle. I gave Hell's Bastards MC Christmas Special a four star rating due to a few moments where I had a hard time understanding and connecting with Ava's character. But that could be because I don't have the entire backstory yet.... We shall see! Overall, I really enjoyed this sexy and swoony Christmas read and I can't wait to read more from Sam Crescent in the very near future!!

Best of intentions.. ;)

This is a story of the 'best of intentions that went wrong' kind of plot ;) Smokey wanted to make better memories for Ava and planned a surprise Christmas do, but yeah, didn't manage to keep her from suspecting something was up. A lie, a hug to another woman and we end up with a logical assumption about him having an affair. Yep, so much trouble for him because he couldn't seem to accept her forgiveness. Nor did he have a great handle figuring out what she was thinking. Lol! Thankfully, this all gets sorted out but it's a wild ride getting there ;)

This was a great Christmas novella and I loved seeing Smokey trying his very best to make amends to Ava. Throw in a dash of angst and catching up with all the characters I love and this was a great read. I can’t wait to see which of the Brothers gets his story told next

I think it’s right that Smokey carries the guilt he does, but I also think he has a good heart. Can’t blame Ava for the conclusions she comes to. A few simple words would change it all, but the story wouldn’t have come out quite the same, I suppose. Sweet Christmas tale.

This is the fourth story in the series and I would like to say it can be read as a stand alone story. Although this might be true you definitely get way more out of it reading them in order. The story centers around Smokey, his guilt, and wanting to give Ava a different and special memory of the club and their compound. He knows Ava loves Christmas and wants to giver her the gift of Christmas spent with family and friends. He also wants to give her a positive experience at the club house to erase the horror she faced their. This is a sweet story with some drama, sass and steam. You get to spend holiday with some very familiar characters from the three previous stories. You also get a touch of characters that might be coming up in future stories. It is a fairly short and quick read that I enjoyed every bit of.

I just love this book!! Smoky and Ava and the rest of the MC are so wonderful. I really couldn't get enough of this book. I sincerely love Sam Crescent's writing it is AMAZING!! This story doesn't disappoint for sure. And who doesn't love getting to catch up with their favorite characters from previous books!

Thank you NetGalley for the eARC. I skipped all the other books in my pile and went straight to this one. I totally forgot how much I love this crew. I was so completely in love with this story and was immediately drawn back into their world. This is a must read for the holidays guys! go out and get your copy!

An addictive read

This book, wow, it's quite simply FABULOUS. Smokey is continuing to feel he must make up for his past mistakes with Ava. However Ava herself has moved on from their past and just wants his love, passion and to be reassured they will be together, forever. Poor Smokey continues to make mistakes is ignoring his club members who try to get him to accept Ava is ok. I suggest that you must read Smokey for reading this book so you have the background to their story. Overall, this book was an addictive read, that I read in one sitting. It's passionate, it's highly emotional (I cried, often) and the ending had me swooning. I'll say it again, I loved this book

Oh Smokey. What a mess you keep making. He's come such a long way since their first book, but this shows he's still making mistakes. It's great to catch up with everyone for a Christmas book, and this is quite endearing. It's a good catch up book.

This is book 4 in the series and minimally book 2 needs to be read before reading this book. This story follows Smokey’s attempts to make his love happy over the Christmas holidays. Potential future stories are also implied. The characters are strong and the story is heartwarming.

Christmas with Hell's Bastards MC

Still feeling guilty, Smokey wants to create better memories for Ava with the club so he comes up with a plan to decorate and celebrate Christmas at the clubhouse. He wants to surprise Ava so everything is being done in secret. Should be easy, right? Ava starts getting suspicious of Smokey's behavior lately and doesn't know what to make of it until she catches him in a lie. Smokey had the absolute sweetest and best intentions to surprise his woman at Christmas but it blew up in his face. Ava helped Smokey realize that he needs to let go of the guilt and move forward because she loves him and forgave him and the club. This was an awesome Christmas special where we see Smokey's love and devotion for Ava really shine. He would do anything to keep his woman happy. I loved catching up with the Hell's Bastards MC and hope we see more from them soon.

Great Christmas Read

This was a cute Christmas book. I am not a fan of Smokey’s because of some of the stupid decisions he made in his book and Raven’s. He tried to give Ava the Christmas she deserved and make up for his mistakes but it didn’t work in his favor . He did grow on me because he showed how much he loved Ava. The ending was cute and it was sweet to see everyone get together as a family for Christmas.

It is Christmas time and Smokey wants it to be perfect for Ava. He wants her to have good memories of the club to replace the nightmare she experience there. He just can’t help but make a mess of things. It is time for him to let go of the guilt so Ava can let it go. Ground work seems to be laid for Hunter and Big Dick to have a story,

To say the Bastard's turned out for Christmas would be putting it mildly. Smokey and the guys definitely had their hands full this season when Smokey decides he's giving Ava the perfect Christmas. Lots of surprises are in store for everyone in this one.

Another sweet romantic MC tale

This is by far the sweetest addition of all the Hell’s Bastards MC books. It was all about the club President doing everything in his power to provide his old lady with best Christmas possible. Along the way there was some foreshadowing of potential romances to come in the club. Can’t wait to read what happens next!!

Sweet but steamy christmas story

This book is part of a series and the others must be read or you will not understand what's going on. I enjoyed this short holiday read. It had the usual humorous parts mixed in with some steamy encounters. The story focused on Smokey and Ava, but the other married couples make an appearance. The story has some serious turmoil in their relationship, no real violence or action. I think it will be a great book to connect the previous book with whoever's book is next.

I love this so much the Hell’s Bastards MC they sure do know how to throw a Christmas party and they can not doing without drama being thrown their way. Love this story so much and the small peek of some characters might getting their story was so entertaining and interesting to read. I for sure can not wait for more of this Hell’s Bastards MC.

An enjoyable Christmas read that focuses on Smokey gathering the club to secretly give his Old Lady a holiday to remember because he feels like she deserves the whole world. But as things are set in motion Ava feels like something is off between her and Smokey. A great catch up with previous characters and seeing new relationships develop in this story.

This story made me smile! Smokey is head over heels, just the same as Raven and Carlos, and of course Ugly and Abriana. Is he turning into (gasp!) a teddy bear? If anyone deserves a teddy bear for Christmas, it's Ava! Tis the season for Love for the Hell's Bastards MC!

Smokey cant get past the guilt he holds onto, and wants to do something nice for her for Christmas at the club house, but its doesnt all go to plan. as the rest of the club and friends get involved can he pull of a Christmas miracle? well written, a great festive catch up with the club and the starters for some new romances!!!

Smokey and Ava have a dark history where he had had her tortured at his club. Now he just wants to create some happy club memories and she loves Christmas. The club and her friends go all out to turn the man cave into a winter wonderland. But secrets have a tendency to get partly revealed, causing Ava to doubt everything they are together. Feel good, quick, easy read.

A Special gift

If you read Smokey, you know what happened. It was a dark story and heartbreaking. Smokey just wanted to give Ava the perfect Christmas. All the guilt from the past can’t wipe away all that he did to his woman. She is the reason he breaths. With the help of the club and some friends, they help to bring Christmas to the Hell’s Bastards clubhouse. Only problem, Ava is having doubts about herself and Smokey. He doesn’t seem to show passion that he once had for her. A lot of missed signals between the two. I know he meant well but he needed to let go of the past. Ava needed to stop doubting herself and know that Smokey would do ANYTHING for her. We also have a couple of side stories going. Hopefully we get to read about Harlow and her brother Big D, Hunter the clubs VP and Larissa the priest’s daughter. There is something going on there.

I really enjoyed this "continuation" of Smokey and Ava's story. He is still trying to make it up to her for what happened in the past. Even though Ava has forgiven everyone, Smokey is still holding on to the guilt he feels for his part of what went down. Since Christmas is her favorite holiday, he decides to decorate the clubhouse and enlists Harlow to help. Of course, Smokey being Smokey, he is keeping this from her and Ava starts to worry if he loves her anymore. Can he let her know in time what he's doing or will she leave him? Loved, loved, loved this so much!!!

The road to hell . . .

Is paved with good intentions . . . and Smokey has the best of intentions when it comes to giving Ava a wonderful Christmas surprise to help replace her memories of the clubhouse with good ones. But in true Bastards fashion things don’t go as planned. The ending though is perfect! i loved this look back at the members from the series and hope there will be more to come.

Ava, Smokey and crew are back. Getting to spend the holiday with them brings a new meaning to them. Smokey clearly loves his club and his woman so why not give her a Christmas to remember? Ava is working hard at her bakery but feels that at home there isn't enough heat in the kitchen so as she's trying to figure it out...she gets more questions than answers. Get ready to join in with these great charactets who bring humor, heat and romance as only they can. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

While this is a good Christmas novella I do recommend reading the other books in the series. While this is a standalone the others will give you information that helps along the way. Smokey wants to give his woman the Christmas of a lifetime and enlists her friends to help however this leads to complications when Ava feels like everyone is lying to her. I enjoyed this as a whole but wish the formatting was slightly different.

This was a good story. It's on the shorter side, which I love, but still packs a whole lot into a shorter book. It's spicy, some angst, and has a happy ever after.
