Rainnow Book Reviews
Sometimes I just want short, sweet, and fun in a story, and ‘Getting Physical’ filled the bill perfectly. With a doctor who doesn’t want to make house calls and a rich businessman intent on having him oversee his physical therapy, there was bound to be a little conflict. But since both of them soon discover the advantages of the arrangement, no harm is done – and I was suitably entertained by their antics. Zack is a dedicated, hard-working physician and doesn’t appreciate his lunch hour interrupted by some rich guy who wants an assessment of his injury right now. The guy is attractive enough, but when he demands Zack make house calls to supervise the physical therapy, Zack is less than impressed. But his boss reminds him that Landon is about to make a “sizeable” donation, so what can he do? As they get to know each other, Zack realizes he wants more, but it won’t be easy without damaging his career. And Landon? He may be nice abut it, but he is used to getting what he wants… If you like stories about men dedicated to their careers, only to discover there is more to life than a job, and if you’re looking for a quick, uncomplicated read, then you might like this short story.
