“Hey,” Jacob said and got her attention. He pulled her into his arms and against his hard chest. “Do you want to explore or have me care for you first?”
“Me, first.” The fire inside her grew stronger every hour as she healed from the attack, and it was becoming excruciating.
He lifted her into his arms, walked into their bedroom, and sat her on the bed. She was curious about the room, but right now, it would take an earthquake to get her attention away from Jacob.
He stripped them both and then came down beside her.
“Jacob.”
“What, Mate?” he said.
“I need you.”
He pressed his lips to hers. “I know. I’ll take care of you.”
“But I need the whole thing.”
“You’ve been injured…”
“Yes, but I feel so much better. I think I’d feel even better if we mated the way you’ve talked about and how we’re supposed to.”
He studied her before he nodded. “I’ll fuck you how I need to, but I’ll be watching. We’ll stop if you cringe or I sense you’re in pain.”
“But that will hurt us both.”
He sighed. “Let’s try.”
“Okay.” She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him down for another kiss. This time it deepened and rapidly got more intense until they couldn’t seem to get close enough.
She could hear herself whimper.
His lips slid down her neck and stopped where her shoulders met her neck, and he started to nibble before he moved on.

This was a fun and steamy addition to the series and I love how both Jacob and Sage saved each other. Jacob is a wolf shifter on the verge of going feral and he saves Sage from two guys running her down with bad intentions... She's his fated mate and that saves him from being stuck as a wolf, forever. The danger to her remains, though, and Jacob's friends rally around them to help keep her safe. This story had a massive twist that was shocking and gave the story a deeper layer of risk, which I appreciated for a short read :D
Most the story revolves around the main couple and their story is very sweet but there is also a side story with a truly evil villain as well. It adds a bit of mystery to the story as well. It includes familiar characters and reminds you of who Jacob is a the very beginning

I have been loving this series and I never know who to expect next but the author does really well in making the stories seemless and fit to good together. I cannot get enough of these characters... and who doesn't love reading about fated mates!!
This is the fourth book in the Carnal Lust series. Jacob is turning feral and his brothers are bringing things to his cave to keep him supplied with food and necessities. They all hope he can find his mate before becoming completely lost to his wolf. Sage had stopped at a gas station and attracted the attention of a couple of creepy guys. They follow her until her car breaks down and then they attack. She runs into the woods to escape and comes across Jacob. He takes down the two attackers and then cares for Sage. This book has an interesting plot related to the two attackers and their connection to the gas station. It made the story more interesting. I recommend this book and this series.
This shifter romance was such a gripping and exciting and just a well written book--really enjoyed this book and Jade & Jacob are such a hot couple. The steam they have is so great and I just loved this book so so much.

Jacob vanquishes her pursuers and carries her off to his hidden cave to look after her as he works to convince her she’s meant to be his. A fated mate, wolf shifter quickie with a plenty of heat and a protective mate who’ll eliminate any threats to his mate’s safety.
I love how these books start off as the man/wolf rescuing the woman/mate. It it always very sweet and romantic with lots of spicy steam. This book was even better because the wolves took care of the bad guys that were killing innocent women. Any book that is that chivalrous gets my vote of approval!! Great job Lila Fox??
He’d Given Up When She Suddenly Appeared. Jacob had resigned himself to going feral, he’d lived in his cave for quite a while now with no hope, when suddenly he scented her and heard her scream. Rescuing her and taking care of her was now his first priority. A fun, steamy read full of wonderful characters with personalities that shone throughout the storyline! I loved how all his friends and family came together to support them both and the twist, a surprise that made me gasp added a little something to the story.

This was a fast paced short read. A bit different from the fated mates story read. Sounds unique. It was a fast and easy read. Writer did a good job with her story and how she presented the mates bond. It had a bit of spice and steamy scenes. Nice fast paced read. She was being chased and then rescued by a wolf. The chemistry between them spontaneous and it was all going well until she was nearly kidnapped. Storyline was good and kept me hooked
This was an insta-love story when Jacob rescued Sage only to discover she was the answer to his no longer fearing being feral. Jacob was a little too controlling for me but was a good thing for Sage when danger came looking for her again. This was a fun and extremely heated book to read.
Shifters make for good reading and Jacob is in trouble. A savior comes in the guise of Sage who turns out to be his mate and in serious danger. Saving her also saves him at the same time. It’s a good read with a lot of action. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and are voluntarily leaving a review.
I absolutely loved this!! I am now going to go find all the rest in the series, I want to know how the Alpha found his! And I hope his brothers get their own. They had such awesome chemistry and I liked how she didn't fight her feelings. It was fast paced and such a good read on after a long day.
