Early in the afternoon she went into the staff area. After making coffee, she waited on a toasted sandwich to cook for her lunch when Hunter Ralston came in. There was something about him, about the way he held himself. He exuded confidence so much that, as Veronica had remarked, it came across as arrogance to most people. He commanded the room as he took his time making coffee. When he’d finished he turned, leaned against the counter, and took a sip of his drink while looking directly at her. She noticed a thin scar running down his right cheek to get lost in his beard, but it only seemed to enhance his appeal as far as Caitlín was concerned. There was no doubt he was a very handsome man.
“Well, Red, been a good girl?”
What a strange question? Still, it stirred parts of Caitlín she would rather he didn’t know as she replied, “I have no idea what you mean.”
He laughed and took another mouthful of his drink. She needed to get him to move so she could rescue her lunch before it burnt.
She pointed behind him. “Excuse me, Sir, I need to check.”
He held his arms wide and with a rather sexy grin said, “Check away.”
Gritting her teeth, she said, “The sandwich press.”
“Sure you wouldn’t rather check me, Red? I give you permission to run your hands over me.”
Caitlín faltered. His words were innocent enough but to a person with her kink it held a much different meaning. That word “permission”—it sang to her. She had to stop herself from dropping to her knees and saying, “Thank you, Sir.” Instead, she adopted what she hoped was a suitably angry glare as she tried to look behind him.
“Ask me to move.” He actually ordered her, not asked.

He gave a slight bow with his head but now wore a puzzled frown as he stepped to one side. Nervously Caitlín switched off the machine and removed her lunch, placing it on her plate. She was dismayed to see her hands shake as she picked up her coffee and the plate. Hunter still stood there watching her every move like a hawk. She gave a quick glance at him, realizing he still looked a little mystified. I wonder why?
Every part of him now screamed Dom, and she hoped she wouldn’t spill anything as she moved to a chair to eat. She could feel his gaze following her all the way. As she sat, he suddenly turned on his heel and left the room. It felt so empty now he’d gone, Caitlín didn’t know whether to be relieved or dismayed. She sat in the lounge area eating and thinking hard.

I haven't read too many books at all that feature an older couple like Cate and Hunter in this book, both in their mid 50s. It is quite an emotional read at times (grab the tissues in case) as it covers a lot of emotional baggage for Cate particularly. Wonderfully well written.

Caitlin comes to the U.S. part of the family company undercover, looking for a thief. She meets Hunter and they each feel the pull and discover they are both into BDSM. Will their relationship continue through obstacles, threats, backstory issues or more? They give it their all as we cross our fingers for them. Good plotline and entertaining situations, banter/sass, steamy moments and chemistry. Great ending.
I read this book whilst sitting in the car waiting for my partner. At one point, a passerby knocked on the window to check I was ok as I was crying. All I can say is what an absolutely amazing read. The author managed to portray a whole array of emotions in this book - happiness, lust, love, sorrow, grief, and heartbreak. The characters had so many layers and every one of them was portrayed perfectly. Caitlyn, or Cate as she is mainly referred to in this book has a lot of past trauma that makes relationships and trust difficult, however, through the use of BDSM she is able to open up and explore her natural submissiveness and her need for pain. She is called in to help investigate intellectual theft at one of her father's businesses and it's there she meets Hunter. He immediately is infatuated with her, and although they originally clash, he is able to find his way into her life and her heart. The relationship between them is beautiful. As an older couple, it was raw and passionate and I loved it more than I expected to. Their communication isn't always brilliant, but through the different POVs, we get to explore their thoughts and feelings as they use BDSM to strip each other bare. It's hot and passionate and fiery and they even include some friends too. Unfortunately, it wasn't all sunshine and spankings as some very emotional events occurred and we see Caitlyn break. The way the author wrote about her trauma and grief was breathtaking and emotional. It was realistic and heartbreaking and really hit me in the gut. I liked that the author didn't just brush the events under the carpet but really showed the emotional turmoil and breakdown and how important it is to have a support network.
Ummmmmmmmmm WOW where to start. This book is beyond hot on so many levels. Warring tho I had to have a tissue or two handy for the sad parts. But overall this book was above amazing. Highly recommend if u like a little BDSM.
I loved that this story is about a mid-life couple. Caitlin meets Hunter and there is an instant attraction. The story is strong on BDSM with submissive and dominant characters. I enjoyed the story very much and loved the characters. Catlin is in the USA working undercover at her father's company trying to help catch a thief. Hunter is ready to start a relationship with Caitlin but she's hesitant of a relationship. There are some threats and issues that they have to work out but I love that Hunter is there with her every step of the way. I loved how they worked through every difficulty that came their way. Great story.
Caitlin's Choice was an unexpected surprise. It was a steamy, instalove, BDSM, later in life romance. Caitlin is a 54 year old curvy businesswoman sent to the United States from Australia to investigate some company crimes for their family business. Hunter is a hunky, 55 year old photographer at the company she is sent to. Caitlyn is a submissive (sub) and has experienced significant trauma and abuse in her past. Hunter is a Dominant (Dom) and feels an instant connection to Caitlin. As the two work together, they grow close and agree to explore a Dom/Sub relationship. But Caitlin has trust issues from the past. Can she let Hunter in? Can Hunter show her he only wants to love and care for her? I thought this couple had insane chemistry. Hunter's patience and love in dealing with Caitlin were so sweet. I cried at the lows and was sweating a happy ending, but it came through strong at the end after a lot of angst and tears. This was a fantastic read that had me hooked from beginning to end.
A great story with fantastic characters that will keep you hooked from the start. The attraction and the chemistry and not to mention the hot and steamy moments between them was wonderful.
This book was surprisingly long with a slow burn but very hot and spicy love affair. Through it all the couple conquered the many times of pain and ensured they were by each others side with love and support. Very erotic with heavy BDSM play and regular life stuff to make this book amazing.
I must say this is the first older couple BDSM book I've read and I think that made it even better. Caitlin you meet Hunter while she's trying to help her dad's company. There's an instant attraction. But she's gun shy about a relationship. Whereas Hunter is ready to jump in. Things come up from her past. But like a good Dominant Hunter can handle anything.

First time reading this author. I enjoyed the story and found the characters believable. It was nice to read a book with mature characters instead of ones in their 20s or 30s. The backstory of the heroine was handle exceptionally well. The sex was hot! Fell in love with the yummy hero. I'll definitely be reading her other books.

I loved that this tale was about a couple later in life, still vibrant, but not young and angsty. My one con with this tale is that the MMC was all over the place emotionally. I didn't really care for the sickly sweet way he talked to her at certain points during the tale, and the loss of control seemed really out of place for a practiced Dom. Overall, I liked the tale. It is quite a roller coaster ride, but it ends nicely.
The author wrote a great story--loved the older hero and heroine in the story and the way they connected was just so believable and the storyline kept me interested and hooked up from the very beginning. The steam and chemistry was truly off the charts!!
Caitlin's Choice is a later-in-life BDSM romance with hints of suspense. The book is a stand-alone, even though at the very beginning, there are a great many names dropped as though they should be familiar. Both Hunter and Caitlin are very likeable characters in their 50s and as a sadistic/masochist pair, all their sexy times emphasize the pain/pleasure aspect. Due to some very heavy subjects, this is definitely not a light-hearted but still a very rewarding read.
I love the way this book handled Cailtlin's past and how Hunter reacted. As usual the characters are both older - in their 50s. Hunter is perfect for Caitlin, their interaction made it obvious they were destined to be together. There was tissue time when I cried and giggles as well. Be aware there are trigger issues which were written with tact and thoughtfulness. As usual I can't wait for her next book to come out.
