I enjoyed Chris and Genny's book. It was an intriguing read. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
Virginia Rose has searched for decades for the vampire who stole her life and ended her acting career. Now, with revenge firmly in her grasp, a pesky crime reporter threatens to reveal her secret to the world.
Chris Stark fought hard for the opportunity to prove himself as an investigative journalist, but the story of a lifetime could cost him more than he’s willing to pay.
Excerpt:
She sat bolt upright in her chair, her shoulders squared as she leaned forward. Her pupils so large, he could hardly see the violet of her eyes. “I’d better not read anything pertaining to me or my family. Is that perfectly clear?”
Until now, his interest in her had only been a physical attraction. Her not-so-subtle threat suddenly piqued his interest. What secret was she hiding?
“You realize that telling a reporter to back off is like holding a red flag to a bull.”
When she rose to her feet, he mirrored her movements. They stood silently, her expression as serious as the grave while she stared up into his eyes. The flickering light of the candle cast strange shadows on her face. For a second, he thought he saw her eyes flash liquid gold.
“Bull testicles are a delicacy, rich in vitamins and protein. A careless bull may find himself castrated.”
Chris swallowed the lump in his throat. Ginny’s warning had a dual effect on his balls, drawing his attention back to her luscious mouth. Tempting as it was to offer her a taste, he recognized the gleam of menace in her eyes. Unfortunately, he pushed the envelope.
“Is that a threat?” He’d barely finished the question when he felt the pressure on his scrotum as she cupped his balls in the palm of her hand. At first, he thought he might get lucky, but pleasure soon turned to pain as the tension increased. Fingernails dug into his flesh, and he dropped back, his butt landing on the edge of the table, drawing him eye level with his attacker. Her lips brushed his cheek as she whispered into his ear.
“No, that’s a promise.”

This is the first book I've read written by Annie Harland Creek; I can’t wait to read more of her books. She has written a good short story. The story is about Virginia & Chris; he’s a journalist and threatens to expose her. I received a free copy of this book via booksprout and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a fast paced and intriguing paranormal read. The story is about Chris and Ginny. One a reporter and one a vampire. Chris is trying to get his big story and catch a serial killer. Ginny is a vampire trying to find the one who turned her and wrecked her career. She is also a cinema owner that Chris is drawn to. I really like how their story develops and their love grows. The witty banter between them adds some fun as well. I was very hooked on this book and the characters.
I like this author and her writing style. She kept me turning the pages so that I unexpectedly read it at one sitting. I like the two main characters, Devoted Chris and Kick ass Virgina Rose and how they overcome the obstacles that are in their way to becoming a couple. If you like an action packed Paranormal mystery love story, this is the book for you!
This is the story of Virginia and Chris. She is looking for the vampire who ruined her life and therefore also ruined her acting career. Chris is an investigative journalist and wants to make a name for himself to show what he can do and he wants to expose her secret. Will they both get what they desire? Highly recommended to read.
This is a new Author to me. I enjoyed reading Virginia Rose and investigative journalist Chris Stark's story. The short story is well written and held my interest. I received a copy of this book via Evernight and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the first book I have read from this author. It is a vampire story. The male lead character, Chris, is a reporter trying to further his career. Ginny is a vampire that has been around for nearly 100 years. The book is written almost like a crime report. Short and choppy. It wasn't bad; there were more vampires, a serial killer, and steamy times.
A racy and very readable pnr, which also happens to be a pretty good murder mystery laced with a hint of spice. Total escapism, enjoyable, interesting and extremely well written. This modern day vampire story will keep you guessing as to whodidit, or rather whokeptondoingit, right until the end!
This novella is such a quick moving book--I really loved it and the writer did so well writing this paranormal romance and I really got into this book so fast and couldn't put it down. Quick read that will hook you from the first for sure.
