Satan's Death Riders MC, 2

Petal is hurting. After Dirty’s horrible betrayal, and losing her baby, she is just taking it one day at a time. She will never forgive Dirty, especially now that she knows the truth—he was only close to her because of Colt’s orders.

Dirty fucked up. He thought this was a good thing. A clean, clear, over and done with. It was good that she lost the baby. It was good that she wanted nothing to do with him. Then why can’t he get her out of his head?

When one of the club gets close to Petal, Dirty can't take it. He spills their secret, and now everyone knows their past. As for Petal, it was over, and she will not even talk to him.

Strange things are happening at the Satan’s Death Riders MC. They have taken over their enemy’s clubhouse and started to demolish it. Now, as they begin construction, everything that could go wrong, does.

Evil Fuckers MC may be gone, but they have not done so quietly. But something doesn’t add up. Someone is helping them. But who?

When the club is put in danger, it's time to initiate a lockdown. Dirty is close to Petal. He will not let anything happen to her. But who is this new threat, and why are they determined to exterminate the Satan’s Death Riders MC for good?

Excerpt:

Petal got to the office, unlocked the door, and stepped inside. She took a seat, feeling like a fucking coward. This is not who she was, but fighting a shadow in the dark was equally terrifying.

This was not going well. Next time, she would leave when Burto left, or anyone who stayed late.

Someone slashed her tires, but who? There was not a single customer complaint today. No one sent any food back. It was actually a really good day, which was rare.

Why were her tires slashed? Was it someone just vandalizing property? Myth seemed to know there was someone out there.

Her cell phone went off, causing her to jump and let out a little scream.

“Get your shit together, Petal,” she said to herself, answering the call. “Hello.”

“Dirty’s outside waiting for you. He doesn’t have your number,” Myth said.

“Are you going to tell me what is going on?” she asked. She left the office, locked the door, and made her way through. At the door, Dirty stood close enough for her to see.

“I can’t. You need to talk to Warden.”

And like so many other times when Myth didn’t want to be bombarded with questions, he hung up. She wanted to say something snarky or sarcastic, but nothing came to mind. Instead, she shoved her cell phone into her bag. This was the first time she had come face to face with Dirty since that morning when she hit him.

“Hey,” she said.

“Are you all right?” Dirty asked.

“Yeah, I am. It’s just my car. The tires were slashed.”

“Myth told me.”

“Where were you?” she asked.

“I didn’t slash your tires,” Dirty said.

Petal laughed. “I didn’t think you did, I was just wondering.”

Dirty rubbed the back of his head. “I was riding. I hadn’t gone far, but I didn’t want to scare you. I’ve got my bike if you’re ready.”

“I’m ready.”

She secured her bag over her body, quickly doing up the zipper. She was ready. More than ready. She looked at Dirty. A part of her wanted to tell him she would wait for someone else, but she didn’t see the point. There was no reason to argue over the ride home.

It was strange, looking at Dirty had been hard for so long. It had been painful, but this didn’t feel painful.

She locked up the diner, making sure to turn off the lights. Once everything was okay, she followed Dirty out toward his bike. Her car looked so freaking lonely.

“What should I do about my car?” Petal asked.

“I’ll deal with it. Don’t worry. I’ve already called the guys, and they’re coming to look at it.”

“I cannot believe someone slashed my tires.” She shook her head. “I think what is pissing me off is that I paid good money for those tires.”

At her last service, her tires had pretty much been condemned as the tread was wearing thin. She had no choice but to have them changed. With the money her parents were giving her back, she was able to handle several bills, including her car. Now, that was a bill she would have to pay for again. If she ever met the person responsible for taking out her tires, she was going to fucking kill them. No doubt about it. She hated wasting money. When you grew up with money being scarce, you didn’t risk losing it.

Moving toward Dirty’s bike, she had all those old feelings coming back. The last bike she rode on was Myth’s. Even with Dirty asking her not to go on the back of anyone else’s bike, she went on Myth’s. He had no right to tell her who she could be with.

“I haven’t got a helmet,” Dirty said.

“That’s fine. I don’t need to wear a helmet.”

“I’ll go slow.”

“You don’t have to.”

She remembered her time with Myth, and when he sped up, it felt so good, so freeing.

Dirty climbed onto his bike, and that was when Petal realized she was going to have to hold onto Dirty. Wow, she was being pushed outside of her comfort zone.

Remember, you hate him.

She was going to have to hold onto him. It was either hold onto Dirty or wait for someone else to come and take her home. Myth hadn’t said there was anyone else. She was all alone right now.

She took a deep breath and climbed onto the back of the bike. Rather than hold back, she wrapped her arms around him, inhaling his musky scent combined with the leather and smell of the bike fumes.

“Are you ready?”

The truth was, she wasn’t ready. She didn’t know if she was ever going to be ready, but she gave him the shout that she was. He took off, riding out of the parking lot. As they were leaving, she saw a couple of bikes approaching, and she saw them flash their headlights at Dirty. She figured that was the club coming to look at her car.

Dirty didn’t stick around,  rode her out of the diner, and took her straight toward her home.

The streets were all but dead and it was still warm out, although the sun had set a short time ago. This is what she loved about leading into summer.

The ride to her place didn’t take long, and Dirty didn’t ride too fast or too slow. They arrived at her place, and he turned off the ignition.

Petal climbed off the bike, still feeling the vibrations between her thighs.

“Thanks,” she said.

She made her way up to her house and then she heard it.

“I’m sorry,” Dirty said.

This made her stop, and she turned to look at him.

Dirty climbed off the bike and made his way toward her. Petal didn’t move. She wasn’t afraid of Dirty, she never had been. He had the power to hurt her, but not to kill her.

“What?”

“I never said I was sorry and meant it,” Dirty said. “I … I don’t know what came over me. One moment we were doing good. The next, you told me you were pregnant, and I panicked. It makes no sense, because that would have meant you were mine.”

“I don’t know what you’re trying to do.”

“I fucked up. I hurt your feelings, and I know there is no way back from that, but I want you to know I’m not going to stop trying.”

“Dirty?”

“Tell me you don’t love me,” Dirty said. “Tell me you can’t stand to look at me, that you want nothing to do with me. Tell me I am wasting my time, and it would be best for me to just move on. Can you imagine me with another woman?”

Petal frowned. “What the hell is this? You want to apologize and now what? Humiliate me?”

“Fuck!” He ran a hand down his face.

Wow this book pulls all the punches and makes you feel all the feels... it's a really good book and the author manages to deliver us this story in a way that isn't too harsh but still hasn't her original writing twist to it! It's the kind of book you cannot put down until you have finished it!

A fantastic MC romance
Written by Heather93 on 22nd Mar 2025

Broken is the first MC romance novel that I have read by Sam Crescent. I’ve mainly read Sam Crescent’s paranormal romances, but I absolutely loved reading Broken. I thought this novel to be suspenseful and a page turning MC romance. The characters are phenomenally written and beautifully executed throughout the story. The main characters of Broken are Dirty and Petal. I found both of these characters to be quite interesting and intriguing at the same time. I didn’t even want to set my phone down until I read the last page. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading this phenomenal MC romance. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about who Dirty and Petal as the main characters. I also loved seeing their story unfolding before my eyes, and there were times when I felt that I was actually right there witnessing it in real time. I would most definitely recommend Broken for anyone who loves reading MC romances. I’m looking forward to reading more phenomenal romances from Sam Crescent in the future.

Second Chance
Written by Danee on 22nd Mar 2025

In the beginning I had a hard time with Dirty, how he acted towards Petal when she said she was pregnant and then also asked is it from me while he knew he was her first I thought was unacceptable. Gradually that changed and they get closer to each other because he regrets how he reacted and hurt her, and not only that but also because the fire was opened on the MC and she herself was also hit and lost the baby. It was an emotional and a bit raw story with action, danger, tension and romance and their journey keeps you glued to your book.

Absolutely amazing
Written by Sencillez on 22nd Mar 2025

I loved reading Peter and Dirty’s story in Broken by Sam Crescent. One of the club members ask dirty to get close to Peter so that they can get close to her friend. Dirty spends time with Petel and things get hot and heavy and she ends up pregnant. When she looses the baby and finds out the truth of why Dirty was spending time with her she doesn’t know how she’ll get over it. Dirty realizes he mad a mistake and misses Petel so when she’s in danger he’ll do whatever is necessary to keep her safe and get her to forgive him.

Dirty gets his beautiful Petal
Written by LFBooks on 22nd Mar 2025

Broken is the second book in the Satan's Death Riders MC series. After reading the first book, Toxic, I was waiting for the next to see what would happen with the MC and it's members. This story is about Petal and Dirty. I will say that I don't think this book can be fully read as a standalone as there are characters and things that continue. I loved Petal but really wanted to kick Dirty's azz. The story is a wild roller-coaster ride that twists, turns and does more than a few loops.

Good read glad I read book one
Written by Jes7s7 on 22nd Mar 2025

This was another good read but I will say while it was required l, I did read book one and was so glad I did. I enjoyed Petal and Dirty story which started after and during Colt and Rose's story. The plots twists and turns did not leave the story too predictable but added an element that was dark and not to spicy. I think it was important to read the first book because all of the characters from Colt and Rose's story is present in Petal and Dirty. It did seem glossed over how they got together other than Colt asking Dirty to distract Petal from Rose but it had its on tone for the two which I loved on a different level than Colt and Rose. Definitely recommend.

Petal and Dirty
Written by MellaM on 22nd Mar 2025

Petal (FMC) lost her baby with Dirty (MMC) due to the events in book 1 (Toxic). Book 2 (Broken) is Petal and Dirty's story. Someone else wrote that this wasn't a standalone book and I 100% agree. I found reading book 1 provided helpful context on characters and motivations. So, onto book 2. I'll rip off the bandaid - Dirty is a mofo. An insensitive, insufferable mofo. His comments hurt Petal when she's at her most vulnerable and he continues to stick his foot in his mouth for the first third of the book. I was honestly rooting for Petal to end up with someone, anyone else it was so bad. Dirty gets his head on straight and starts groveling but not nearly long enough IMHO. I won't say more for fear of giving away spoilers, but encourage all to read the book and keep reading even when you want to tell Petal to run and not look back.

So Good.....
Written by thischickloves2read! on 22nd Mar 2025

This is the first book I've read in this series (which I do not advise). So I didn't really know what to expect. I was enthralled by the summary, I took a chance. I really enjoyed the story. The characters were gritty and real. I only have two issues. I should have bite the bullet and read the first book so I could follow along better. All in all, a great book, and I am looking forward to reading more by this author.

It felt like reaching a happily ever after for our main characters was a distant dream, especially with the mistakes made and the lurking danger that seemed always present, even if unseen. But despite the challenges they faced, they did eventually find their happy ending. It was a long and difficult journey, but in the end, I'm truly relieved that everything worked out for them.

Satan’s Death Riders MC don’t start if you don’t plan on finishing in one setting after going back to re-read the ending of book one although you don’t have I choose to you won’t stop till the last page is turned. Broken!
Written by Mary on 22nd Mar 2025

This is story in the "Satan's Death Riders MC". Although, not completely necessary, I would read the first story, "Toxic", before this one. There is a bit of a back story and build that spills over into the second story. This one, like the first one, is a touch dark, gritty and an emotional roller coaster ride. It does touches on some difficult subject matter as well. The story is about Petal and Dirty. Petal, is Rosalie's best friend, and was shot and suffered a tragic loss in the first story. This story brings her struggles, pain and more to life. This is a fast paced read with danger, suspense, betrayal, action, surprises, shocking realizations, good twists and so much more. I want more!!!

Good story
Written by RhondaVB on 22nd Mar 2025

For a lot of this book, I did not like Dirty at all. I was happy to see that Petal didn't just give in to him but made him work for getting back in her life, especially after she found out why he was with her. The more I read though, the more I could see that he really was sorry and regretful for his part of what happened to her. It was a roller coaster ride and I really enjoyed it!

Pining and Groveling in the MC
Written by Luv2Read17 on 22nd Mar 2025

We pick up where "Toxic" left us. I feel like you do need to read that book first so that you have the context. Petal was left devastated and feeling broken after what Dirty told her and what happened. After some time has passed, Dirty knows what he said was extremely wrong and spends most of the book groveling and trying to be a better person for Petal. Unfortunately, Petal really should have communicated more with Rosalie and Kim, as I think that would have helped. While I did enjoy this book, I felt it ended abruptly and though not on a cliffhanger, things are not resolved for Satan's Death Riders... I'm hoping this means we'll get at least one more book. It would be great if the third book is Myth and Tanya's story- they'd be sweet together.

Written by Smillican on 22nd Mar 2025

A dark romance in the Satans Death Riders series, Broken picks up after the events in Toxic. It’s in your best interest to read Toxic first, trust me! This is Petal and Dirty’s story. Broken by betrayal from Dirty, Petal is trying to come to terms with what has transpired. But, something is waiting in the wings to tear down the club. And the plot twist, didn’t see that coming. So excited for another round!

Lots of emotions
Written by ObsessiveReader on 22nd Mar 2025

Right off the bat, I didn't like Dirty. The way he treated Petal when she told him she was pregnant was so wrong. Petal losing the baby when she was shot is heart breaking. Dirty can't seem to keep himself from hurting Petal and he wants to make things right with her. Throw in the return of the enemy and things are pretty rocky.

Heartbreak, loss and growth
Written by laura.lovesreading on 22nd Mar 2025

God this book is heartbreaking. Petal has survived so much heartbreak, loss, grief and pain. She got through, barely alive and is now living day to day, but still supporting everyone. And when the MC and Dirty are back needing her help she is there, despite all that happened. And for Dirty, I don’t know what to say about him. He realized his mistakes, but didn’t know how to make up for it. But he got his head straight and begins to fight for his woman. It’s a story full of twists and turns, drama, action, emotions from low to high, forgiveness and love. I loved the main characters, but you get also to enjoy a variety of fabulous side characters and I can’t wait to see this series grow.

This is an continuation of the story that started with Toxic, this centers around Petal and Dirty. He has betrayed her something fierce, first asking if the baby was his when she said she was pregnant. Minutes later, she is shot along with her bestie's mother and loses the baby. Dirty knows he made of mess of everything but he does not know how to fix it if she will not talk to him. Will he be able to convince her to give him a second shot or will he be the one with a broken heart this time?

Keeping secrets
Written by Juliet18 on 22nd Mar 2025

Petal and Dirty have quite the secret that they are keeping from their loved ones and MC brothers. Dirty messed up big time and is kicking his own butt about. Dirty cares for Petal, but he is not accustomed to the feeling she made him feel. I understand that this is the second book, but I did not feel lost with this book, as I did not read Toxic first. Fantastic book, but now I want to go back and read Toxic because I feel like it will only add to how awesome I thought this book was.

Dirty and Petal
Written by Doris on 22nd Mar 2025

This book took me on a roller-coaster ride of emotions with Dirty and Petal’s story. They were so close to happiness the first time but then so many things went south and Petal barely survived in more ways than one. As for MC action, there is plenty of that as well. So many unanswered questions as to who is behind the retaliations of the club, they had hoped they had disbanded. Overall this book was a big page turner and the epilogue tied everything together so well with Dirty and Petal’s story.

Petal & Dirty's story
Written by Avid MC Reader on 22nd Mar 2025

This is the 2nd book in the Satan's Death Riders MC and to completely understand it, you must read the first book, Toxic. This book begins pretty much where Toxic left off as Petal and Dirty were featured in it as secondary characters but they played a much bigger part. Both of these books are dark and tackle many hard topics so if you have triggers, I don't recommend this book for you. I laughed, cried, and rejoiced during both books which I read back-to-back. I didn't want to put either book down as I was enthralled with them. It seems as though I'm giving a review for both books but they are so closely tied together it is almost impossible to separate them. I loved Petal's resilience and I truly hated Dirty for much of the book. Both characters leapt off the page as the author made them come to life with his depictions making them seem real. I don't want to say too much about the book because I don't want to ruin it for anyone else. It is best read without any preconceptions or thoughts of how it will be resolved. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars and I hope everyone who reads Toxic will read this book also as together they are some of my favorite books.

Gripping and gritty second chance romance
Written by LBing on 22nd Mar 2025

This was another gripping and gritty addition to the series and I have to say, I read it in one go. I loved Petal. She's suffered losses like no one should have to, deals with her massive family like she's responsible and has to navigate being rejected by Dirty, the father of her lost baby and the man she fell in love with. Dirty was shocked, sort of, at her being pregnant and he reacted badly. He compounds that with rejection and ridiculous actions until he gets an eye opener on how precious Petal is to him. He groveled, apologized, the works. Petal did not just cave. However, things are never simple in an MC and the drama swirling around gets them the chance to face their loss and try and mend things to have a future together. I loved this story, have read it twice already, and look forward to the next book :D

Wow did he screw up and hurt her, then she was shot. She does everything she can to ignore her feelings and keep everything inside. Then when he lets it out what all they went thru she thinks she again will never forgive him. With the help of their friends they both learn a lot about each other. They don't have an easy path ahead but maybe with communication its possible. I would love to read more about this club and their family.

Harsh to Sweet
Written by JeniT on 22nd Mar 2025

Dirty broke Petal’s heart and found it was the biggest mistake he ever made. Petal is hurt and alone in her pain for what happened to her and Dirty’s relationship and refuses to be around him if at all possible. Her best friend is married to the MC so she knows that will be hard. Dirty and Petal have a rocky start to a dumpster fire ending but still they cannot deny there are feelings still there. As time passes and things happen it is revealed that some mistakes can be forgiven and what truly matters is how you move forward. I really like this series. The characters are raw and real and their reactions are realistic. It’s a great book even though I did not read the first book I truly did not feel like I was missing something important.

Dirty gives not up the woman he loves
Written by Thisbe on 22nd Mar 2025

Where shall I start? Dirty got close to Petal because he was ordered to keep her away from her best friend Rosalie. He is part of the Satan's Death Riders MC (for a deeper understanding it would be preferable to read Toxic, Rosalie's and Colt's story first). Dirty fell in love with Petal, who is sweet but also has some attitude. He deeply hurt her and then she lost their baby when she is shot. Dirty knows he screwed up, but is determined to make it up to Petal. There is a lot going on with the club and made it had to stop reading. A lot of interesting characters and I hope more stories to come. Petal and Rosalie working hard to make their diner work and the club business and who is helping the destroyed enemies to seek revenge? Captivating story with a lot going on. I did not like, that not everything is solved with the club and left open at the end of the story, I guess because it will continue in the next story. We know what happens with Petal and Dirty and there is an epilogue.

Riveting Drama & Action
Written by A.K. Shaw on 22nd Mar 2025

Broken is the second book in the Satan's Death Riders MC series. Sam Crescent has done it again with writing an engrossing drama-filled, action-packed story that hits you in the feels. The characters are engaging and credible, and they make you vested in the story. You can imagine this being a real life drama. The book is a page-turner with intense drama, action, steamy romance, intrigue, and a strong MC family.

DIRTY AND PETAL
Written by Gkp2460 on 22nd Mar 2025

Satan's Death Riders MC book 2 is Broken. It's Dirty and Petals story and it's one huge emotional rollercoaster! There's so much that goes on in this book and just when I thought I had things figured out this author slipped in yet another twist that completely blows everything I thought out of the water. I love that the women of this club is fierce and Petal is definitely coming into her own and is becoming a force to be reckoned with. Dirty has a lot of groveling to do and I love that he did whatever was necessary shamelessly. Then there's Tanya, I really hope we get her and Myth's story. I completely enjoyed Broken and can't wait for more!

Written by Laura S. on 22nd Mar 2025

Wow! Dirty really did himself in for this story! Making a comeback after totally dissing his (could have been) girl certainly is not easy! Petal learned her lesson too, the hard way! Could she trust again? Could she have a relationship again? How much more does she have to sacrifice to be considered 'worthy'? This is gritty biker story with hard core MC men and their women who hopefully can teach them to be better (eventually)! Action, spice, a bit of grovel; an entertaining read!

Broken by Sam Crescent
Written by LyndsayL on 22nd Mar 2025

If you like lots of grovelling for past mistakes and more mistakes made this is your book. It continues the story from the first book Toxic. The relationship between Petal and Dirty has a long road to travel mixed in with a lot of drama with their best friends, club responsibilities as well Dirty's continuous mistakes that he seems to not be able to stop himself from making. Petal is a very strong woman and trying to stand on her own and not lean on anyone. While she battles losing a child, and being rejected by someone she loves. I like that Petal is not a shrinking little woman she is strong and stands on her own and is there for her best friend as well as anyone she considers her family. The threat from another club keeps you on the edge of your seat. Can't wait to see what the next book will be as I want to read the end result of them taking care of the things going on with the other club that was left unwritten. Sam does like to keep us on the edge of our seat wondering what is going to happen.

We need help

If you read “Toxic,” you know all about why Petal wants nothing to do with Dirty. Let’s face he, he said some cruel things and broke her heart. I was honestly shocked that he thought that give her time and she would come around. NOPE. Petal was burned by him not once but twice. You will see what I mean when you read the book. I was heartsick and wanted to punch him in the face. Total disrespect to her. He is going to be eating a lot of crow and groveling big time. He also needs to make things right with a couple of club brothers. If you ever read “Smokey” from the Hell’s Bastard series, you know what I mean. I felt ripped apart. Granted Dirty wasn’t as stupid as Smokey but he just didn’t think about what he was saying. I knew who the mole was. Figured it would be someone spiteful. This MC needs some serious help. I am hoping we get another one of the other MCs to show up. And can I say OMG about one of the missing club brothers. WOW! There was plot twist that I didn’t expect. I wasn’t too sure about Myth, Kim’s guard. But he turned out to be more than I expected. I hope he steps up and talks with Tanya. These two might be a really good couple.

Broken

Wow! What a strong emotional read. I cannot express every feeling I had when reading this book. It took me on so many highs and so many lows, one minute I disliked Dirty and the next I really liked him. What a journey they both went on, one of betrayal, heartache and finally love. An entertaining read with lots of action but be prepared for the involvement of your heart when you read their story and a few shocks along the way!

Great story

Petal is just existing in life after losing her unborn child and the aftermath of learning that Dirty was just with her because he was ordered to by Colt, ( her besties husband) Dirty thought he was okay with the way things ended between him and Petal but when he sees another club brother getting close to her, he tells them all about their past together, pushing Petal further away. As the club deals with the demolition of their rivals club house, events occur that threaten the club but it would seem their rivals are one step ahead of them. When the club locks down and Petals forced to be around Dirty will this be he one and only chance of winning her back? Well written engaging, dark themes, action, violence, desires, second chances, grovel and more!
