I loved this book. It has great characters. Plenty of twists and turns. And am voluntarily leaving my review.

“What would make you happy, Sophia?”
“Same as anybody else. Peace. Acceptance. Love.” My eyes warmed as I fought thinking of everything I didn’t want to think or speak of. “Someone who looks at me the way you and Kyle look at each other. And you, Aiden. You and Kyle. That’s what would make me happy.”
Running his lips along the curve of my jaw, he said, “Do yourself a favor and walk away from this. Forget the motherfucking invitation. Before I won’t let you.”
The velvet rasp of his voice turned my core to liquid. Maybe he was right in that I should forget this whole invitation, but no. I couldn’t and wouldn’t. I wanted to lose myself in Aiden’s hypnotic gaze and the soul-grabbing hunger behind it. Wanted Kyle’s lips trailing down my back while making the moaning noises I’d heard before. I wanted harsh words, domineering demands, soft and hard kisses, and every sexual scenario imaginable between two men and a woman.
I wanted the three of us.
“What if I don’t want you to let me?”
He cocked a brow, then lowered his forehead against mine, his breath heated and heavy. His voice gentler, he said, “This was inappropriate, and I’m sorry.”
“Inappropriate for who, dammit? Stop pretending you don’t feel th-this thing between us because I know you do.”
His gorgeous face was a map of confusion, his stare so intense it sent ice up my spine. “I’m not some gentle lover who leaves flowers by the bedside and sweet notes at the door. I’m…”
“You’re dominant, Aiden. And Kyle is submissive. It’s hardly a secret.”
“Kyle is submissive with me, Sophia. With you, he’d be a different man. The two of us would tear you apart. Now, be sensible and forget about this.”
“I don’t want to forget.”
Equal parts pissed and turned on, I stared at him while he stared right back with tension returning to his body and hardness in his jaw. With his brows drawing together in an upsetting scowl, he said, “Wear different clothes and shoes to work. I don’t need you breaking a leg on my clock.” He turned his back to me and sauntered toward the front area where Kyle continued what sounded like a personal call.
“Fine! I get it, okay?” Red, fiery anger ignited in my chest while frustration rolled through me and the words on my tongue wouldn’t stop. “Deep down you know you aren’t man enough to please me. So, go ahead and continue doing what you do best. Walking away, barking orders, and looking at me like you’d rather have your dick chewed off by a rabid dog than to touch me. You may be dominant in the bedroom, but you sure as hell aren’t anywhere else. You’re nothing but a scared, candy-assed coward. Besides, I don’t need dick in my life, not yours anyway.”
Like I’d lit a live wire, he stopped, the muscles in his shoulders straining. He turned to face me, his pupils like round black dots, and that vein in his forehead thick and erect. Anger bled in his expression, the intent in his gaze ice cold.
Don’t walk away.
Don’t ignore me.
Don’t abandon me.
“You know what? You talk too motherfucking much, you couldn’t handle my dick if you tried, and you’re fully aware that I don’t need pussy.” He trudged my direction, scooped me into his arms like I weighed nothing, then said, “But since you’ve been begging me to turn your ass red, guess what, little girl? You win. Goddamnit to hell, you win! I’m going to show you what a candy-assed coward does when he’s reached his limit. And then, Sophia, we’ll see how you feel when you can’t sit for a week.”
He can’t be serious! I pushed at his chest. “You wouldn’t fucking dare!” As much as I’d read and fantasized about spanking and red rooms of pain, a cold dread of fear lifted up my back.
He released a sigh from deep in his chest, warning me that his patience was wearing thin. “I don’t take kindly to dares.” His voice was a low growl and his fingertips dug into the back of my thighs. “Not only do you run your mouth too much, but you’re rude and spoiled, not to mention disrespectful. You deserve every damn thing you’re about to endure. Before the summer ends, I’ll either work the fucking defiance out of you, or spank it out.”

This is Aiden, Kyle and Sophie's story. She is strong willed, not to be brought down. What will happen when she has to work for Aiden? What will happen when she finds out about Kyle? Follow the drama.

Smoking!
This is one highly erotic and sensual story featuring the trio of Sohpie, Aiden and Kyle. The two men are older than Sophie and have been together for years before meeting her. Beautiful if you like a bit of MMF in your reading.

Romance
What a great book about two people in love who ask a third to join them. Aiden and Kyle have been lovers for over 9 years. They are both bisexual but have kept a mostly monogamous relationship. The enjoy having a female with them but they are deeply in love with each other. Now Aiden owns a landscaping business and a person he does business with ask him to give his daughter work for the three months of summer. Sophie has had a terrible childhood and her harmed herself when she was younger. She is obstinate, rude, and petulant. She drives Aiden crazy. Aiden wants nothing to do with her, he considers her a child since she is about to turn 20. Sophie is desperately looking for love and acceptance. Kyle, the second time he meets Sophie asks her to join him and Aiden. Although she knows it’s just for the night she thinks she’s in love with Aiden and is hoping for so much more. Will Aiden and Kyle be willing to open up their relationship to Sophie? Will Sophie realize that once with them is enough? Great story about finding people who love, accept and trust you.

High emotion
At first, I didn't like Sophia. So much so, that I almost didn't continue reading, but I was curious about Aiden. His impression of her at the start was spot on IMO, but as the tale progresses, each being opens up and becomes more and more likeable. It definitely takes you on a bit of a roller coaster. Although I understand, I really could have done without the bit about Sophia's dad, because ew, but it fit with the conflict of Aiden. Overall, it was a good read.

Wow! Superb writing and expressing of the characters. There is a lot to unpack. This book grabs your attention, keeps you wanting to read. The depth of the characters, their emotions, their past, and what they have together grabs your heartstrings.

Sophie, Aiden, and Kyle
This is the first book I have read from Lacee Hightower. This is a MMF romance with a lot of twists and turns. Aiden is a former soccer star who had a career-ending injury. He has now become a landscape business owner and come out to the world. Kyle is an airline pilot who was married with a daughter before coming out. Sophie is the daughter of a business associate of Aiden's that has asked Aiden to help get her back on the right track and focus on her education and future. Sophie is not a spoiled partier and has been through a lot of difficult things in her young life. I was not sure how this would go at first and some of the interactions were uncomfortable. I stuck with it and the story was good. There is a very unexpected relationship between her father and Aiden that I did not see coming. Overall this was a good read and ended well.

Beautiful Twisted Things!
This book captivated me pretty quick and I could not put it down until the very end. It is an emotional read and may contain some sensitive topics to some. I love the characters and really got invested in their story. The story is about Aiden, Sophie/Sophia and Kyle. The synopsis was a little confusing but it made more since once I started the story. Wyatt, Sophie's father, is unhappy with some of his daughters choices. He has been a single father for almost all her life. He brings her home and demands she get a job. She is to work for Aiden, a landscaper who was a professional soccer player. These two appear to be like oil and water. Definitely a rocky start but there is a fine line between love and hate. Aiden is bi and is in a relationship with Kyle, also a bi. Aiden, Sophie and Kyle all have issues and things to overcome. I enjoyed their story. I love the characters and their story. It is a MM, MMF and MFM story that develops nicely. It pulled on my heartstrings.

Pretty Good
There are a lot of twists in this story, a few that felt unnecessary, but mostly it's a well balanced story about how complicated the situation is for Sophie, Aiden, and Kyle as they find themselves immersed in a relationship where the men have been together and happy for nearly a decade, and Sophie throws a bit of a wrench in that but only because no one seems to want to be completely honest. I didn't connect much with Sophie's character; I thought the relationship between Aiden and Kyle was excellent, and appreciated that they felt they were missing something but it feels like Sophie needed to grow up quite a lot before being a good, balancing partner for them; which I guess is ultimately what happened, and everyone finds their bliss. There are a LOT of long, long paragraphs in this story, and one-sided dialogue, which could have used some fine-tuning, and there were some disjointed transitions which need work, but overall it's an emotional, steamy, complicated story which I would recommend.

I couldn't put this book down
This was a fantastic book, so well written, I really felt for the characters, what they had been through and how that impacted on them and their relationships. There were some scenes I found quite emotional, and there were a couple of twists which I did not see coming and really added depth to the storyline. I can't wait to read more by this author. What a fantastic read twist and turns everywhere
What a fantastic read twist and turns everywhere Well, this is one brilliant book that I just could not put down. I really like Sophie from the beginning of this book I think she had a bad hand handed to her with her dads attitude to her living alone. But the fireworks really started when she was sent to work with a company that her father uses to landscape his properties. He’s known Aiden awhile and he trust him to make sure he’s hard on his daughter Wyatt McEvoy wanted Sophie to learn what it was like to earn a wage. When Aiden and Sophie meant it was like fireworks went off. He was getting her to do things that were already done, and Sophie is a sassy young lady who tells him exactly what she thinks of him, so you can imagine when these two got together it was really explosive. Sophie admitted to herself that she found him very attractive. One time, Sophie forgot her credit cards at work, so she went back and came face-to-face with the fact that Aidan was gay. He was full on with another man, and Sophie couldn’t help but watch and get turned on. That was until the other man saw her, but he didn’t do anything other than putting on a show. But then Aiden caught sight of her. Kyle admitted to Eden that he found Sophie attractive, and as both he and Aidan are bisexual, maybe she is the perfect woman to join their relationship. What do you think happens next?? I thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed this book, and to be honest I didn’t want it to end because there was so many twists and turns, I was just hooked to the storyline. Kyle is just awesome so open-minded, passionate, understanding and patient. He is just the perfect man for Aiden, who is moody, but he’s had a lot to deal with and until you get the full story you won’t understand. I certainly didn’t see the twist coming towards the end of this book. Sophie had to grow up so quickly and she comes across more mature in her thinking. Oh believe me she’s a brat. She’s such a sassy little thing that knows how to play to get what she wants, but she hasn’t had an easy life. But when she sees Aiden and Kyle, she knows exactly what will make her happy. It’s yummmmmmy!! I cannot wait to read more from this author.

Sophia, Aiden and Kyle
This was an interesting book. There are so many interconnected threads that start out like a starfish, then come together in the center to create all sorts of complications on several different fronts. Essentially, Sophie gets dragged home after her freshman year of college, dad has arranged a job for her with a friend, she doesn’t get along with her boss, her boss’s boyfriend propositions her for a threesome, and all heck breaks loose. There is a fiery attraction between Kyle and Sophia, and Aiden and Sophia, and a smokin’ hot 9 year relationship between Kyle and Aiden. There are conflicts with family and friends, unexpected past secrets, insecurities, desires hard to control, steamy scenes, and a love for three on the line. Hard to put this one down, characters are really interesting, and the road to the finish is pretty bumpy, but love wins in the end. I really enjoyed it.

After being caught by her father with some alcohol and weed, he demanded that Sophie come home and work for the summer. Working for Aidan was the worse when he kept being a jerk to her but once she met his partner, Kyle, everything changed. The beginning was a little rough but once past that, the story was actually pretty good especially everyone's backstory.

MMF menage romance
I don't believe in retelling everything in a review. I will try to hit the highlights without giving too much away. I will say this book is pretty emotional. The more books like this I read, I realize, I'm not as forgiving as these characters. Sophie is a college student. Sophie gets in trouble with her father. As a punishment she is made to go work for the summer at her father's friend's business or go to a camp for troubled youth. Enter, Aiden DiBiase. Aiden owns a landscaping company where Sophie must "serve her time" like jail. Aiden is a grouchy, moody, sexy, former all star soccer sex god. But Aiden isn't impressed with Sophie's attitude or smart mouth. Aiden has been in a committed relationship with Kyle for almost a decade. Kyle knows something or someone is missing. After Kyle invites Sophie into their bedroom a huge secret that Aiden was keeping comes out. Everything changes. Now, this is where I don't know if I could personally forgive Aiden. At this point I was disappointed in these men. Aiden and Kyle made up for it later with the emotional words they said. I was curious what the significance of 22 was? Why did Aiden choose that age?

Oh so good--Love this read--highly recommend--SUPER STEAMY!
This book was really well written and the chemistry with the two men then adding the woman to their fold --expecting it to be just for fun and then how it all worked out to be a great mix. Really loved how it was written and how it played out.

Beautiful Twisted Things is an outstanding mix of adrenaline-inducing action and suspense and melt-your-heart romance with all the feels plus plenty of heat. Fantastic storyline, wonderful characters, and absolutely loved the HEA.
