The fifth instalment of the outrageous ‘Handsome Heroes’ series is funny, contains some creative alien-on-alien physical activities, and a space race that will probably make your hair stand on end. It’s filled with tension, illegal activities, a vengeful ex, and some dangerous last-minute saves that are almost too late to make a difference. In other words, sexy space opera at its best. Rykna is from Verglas, and I first met him in the previous book, where he was a slave freed by King Malvern. Rykna has some interesting physical characteristics, but he is also determined to us his newfound freedom to good effect and free his sister from slavery. Hence, the space race, in which she is one of the prizes. Not that he can fly the ship he has obtained, at least not well enough to in the race. Rykna doesn’t trust easily, but he accept Ever’s offer for help – pretty much since he has no choice. What follows is flying sparks all over the place – between Rykna and Ever, as much as from all the faulty, sabotaged, and plain weak equipment on the ship. What a blast! If you prefer your space opera on the funny side, if an action-packed space race with more amorous interludes than should be legal sounds like fun, and if you’re looking for a read that has less to do with reality and more with a horn dog’s fantasy, then you might like this novella.

Well, as you can see from the Blurb, this installment revolves around Rykna, the sexy cold former slave from Book 4! He has left Planet Graydon and set off into the universe to find his long lost sister. They were both made slaves when their planet was invaded and now that he is a free man he will stop at nothing to find her. Rykna can’t believe it when he sees a post of an upcoming Space Race that has as one of its prizes, a slave girl from Planet Verglas! It is his long lost sister. Rykna realizes he must enter the contest and win at any cost in order to free his sister. There is only one major problem….Rykna isn’t by any means a pilot. He has been depending on the ship to fly itself, which will never work in the race. Enter a hot guy named Everknot, who says his name can be shortened to Ever, but not Eve because that is a girl’s name and he “has enough cock to make most women run for cover”. Luckily he is more into the men. Ever has one problem, unless he has a pendant around his neck to absorb the heat from his body, his clothes burn off. Oh what a shame. Hot naked guy flying the ship! So what happens when someone who is so hot that his clothes burn off and someone who is so cold his cum turns to snow hookup? Well there will definitely be some steam! (OK, I know that was cheesy…hehehe) I really liked this installment and you will as well. The writer seems to be getting better and better with each one.

(Lots of explanation points in this review. It was that kind of novella.) He can fight but can’t fly. Then comes in Ever. In between the missile launching race and the crazy humping alien creatures is a love story unfolding. Rykna is not looking for anyone to love but Ever is constantly flirting. I loved how Ever kept it up despite Rykna grumping. It was adorable! The sex, however, was not so adorable. It was really freaking hot! *Fans self* And I loved the twist at the end. It makes the question very heavy, can they really win this race? You can read this book as a standalone but I highly recommend this entire series. This author has a warped mind that makes his books well worth reading

What a ride. In between the missile launching race and the crazy humping alien creatures is a love story unfolding. Rykna is not looking for anyone to love but Ever is constantly flirting. I loved how Ever kept it up despite Rykna grumping. It was adorable! The sex, however, was not so adorable. It was really freaking hot! *Fans self* And I loved the twist at the end. It makes the question very heavy, can they really win this race? You can read this book as a standalone but I highly recommend this entire series. This author has a warped mind that makes his books well worth reading!

As i have maybe mentioned before, with every book James Cox is getting better and better. You nearly long for the next one to get in your greedy grabby hands. So it is with Handsome Slave Seeks Horny Hero! I so longed for Rykna's story since i read of him in Handsome Men Blow, and wanted to know more about Mr. Tall, Dark and Grumpy and if he is able to smile. Oh and he is! The sexy snow-flake-maker just lays eyes in his hot pilot and everything seems to change for him. The hot and fiery pilot Ever is a sexy handsome flirt, and he knows it and what to do with it to get some fun and hot sex......and Rykna! They just can't let their eyes from another and soon neither their hands. The sex between them is hot and passionate, just how we love to read about it. And even then James Cox is surprising us now and then: just imagine fire and ice getting together in full body contact in a hot embrace of passion. Mouth watering! This writer is growing in confidence with every book he writes and it certainly showed in this offering. One of the sayings in the first few pages is "One day, I was going to touch the clouds" - James Cox certainly took me there! Under all the bravado, gloss and glitter, he writes a dam good storyline and the sexy innuendo's are second to none. The Humping Space Creatures were inspirational, as was "Welcome to Delvina: Home of the best condoms in the universe!". I also learnt a new word "avidly" (must remember to use that).
