Finally got through some of my backlog and picked up "Demon Mine" and finished it in about two hours! From the first page you are dropped into the characters' lives and the action goes from there. I love the fact the characters are familiar yet the twist the author gives them brings a contemporary feel and setting for the story. If this is the first in a series, I can't wait to see where things go from here! A great, quick read I heartily recommend for anyone!

The first scene in this book is very hot and and at first I was thinking, "OK, this is going to be a hot read with a whole lot of lust filled scenes and maybe some suspense". I had no idea it was going to be a sweet love story that spanned lifetimes and just happened to have a whole lot of heat. I really enjoyed this short, hot read that took a story most people are familiar with and turned it upside down, mushed it like playdough and came up with something completely new and different. I am really interested to read what happens in book two, which focuses on Eva!!!!
I bought this book last night and finished it in one night as well- I must say I enjoyed this one! I wont give too much away, but I did enjoy the twist between the characters, I will say that I was able to figure out what would happen, but, the lead up to it was great! Sami and Lily have some intenese chemistry, apparent from the first page. What I also love about this book? It features interracial lovers-Good job!! I will be buying more titles from this author. I know from reading this, she will only get better and better!
It is very romantic and has such an imaginative storyline. I couldn't stop reading it. Nikki Prince has a wonderful way of making demons sexy.
I think the author did an excellent job dropping the reader into the thick of the action - so to speak (wink wink). The author creates an interesting premise and twists this tale to truly become her own. The characters are well rounded and the conflict is excellent (and may I add the steamy scenes are exactly that - steamy). I also loved the secondary characters! This is just the first book in this series, and I can hardly wait for more, there is so many other stories the author can tell with this amazing group she has created!

I absolutely love paranormal, sci-fi and any kind of shifter romance novels. This was my first read involving demons/angels and I must say, I was not disappointed. Ms. Prince gave us an interesting, sensual and erotic twist on the story of Adam and Eve and what I believe is their soulmates. The book starts off with great love scenes and ends that way. When written that way and written the right way, it makes for an interesting story. This one was written just right. I discovered the book "Demon Mine" and the author Nikki Prince from a blog. After reading the intriguing blurb and the hot excerpt, I had to buy it! The premise of Lilith, Adam's first wife, and her demon lover, Samael, immediately captured my imagination. And I was not disappointed! The book opens with a super hot love scene and follows with a romance that is--literally--for the ages! I'm not going to write any spoilers, but there are a couple of surprises and twists that I found completely refreshing and original. I rooted so hard for these two! Samael's love for Lili was wonderful. And she is such a worthy heroine. I ended the book wanting more of this world and mythology the author created. I can't wait until the next book! I had to contact the author on FB and find out who the hero and heroine in Book 2 would be! I couldn't wait! LOL! So enjoyed "Demon Mine" and am eagerly awaiting the second book in the Karmic Lust series!
In other words, this book definitely starts out with a bang. And at first I was a little shocked that the reader is dropped immediately into a sex scene without really introducing the characters, but now that I've read it, I realize what better way to start a story about eternal lovers? Maybe I'm not the typical reader for this book, but I was attracted to it for its premise. The heroine is the reincarnation of Lilith, the apocryphal first wife of Adam; in Prince's novel, the reason Lilith left Adam--making way for the more familiar Eve--is her love for a demon named Samael. Their modern-day predicament is that they are cursed; Lilith doomed to be reincarnated over and over again, while Samael retains his eternal form and his eternal memory. I don't want to reveal too much more of this somewhat too short book (about 75 pages), but I admire Prince's cleverness and humor. I love the pun of the character Clay! I would have liked to have had a little more explanation for Prince's mythology, however--I'm not speaking of Samael, because he has traditionally been a demon--but how did some characters who began as human in our mythology wind up as demons in hers? While the traditionally demonic Lilith is human? And why do her demons get along so well with her angels? It all makes for fun and interesting reading. But I hasten to assure everyone that the sex scenes are definitely hot, and worthy of characters that are exquisitely romantic once you get to know them.
What happens when the heroine in the story is the reincarnation of Lilith (Adam’s first wife) who falls in love with a Demon? You will have to read the book to find out, but I can tell you, you won’t be disappointed. Ms. Prince has written a story with an interesting premise, engaging characters, and hot sex that jumps off the page and grabs you from the start. She put the sexy into loving a Demon. The book is cleverly written, and it is easy to see the talent and good humor of the author shine through the storyline. If you are looking for a sexy, paranormal read, Demon Mine is the book for you.

This is a fun story that touches on the Garden of Eden and Adam and Eve. It was a cool twist on the original sinful couple. I was rooting all the way for Lili and Samael. I also wanted to jump into the book and bitch slap the sister. There was a good conflict at the heart of this story and it kept my attention throughout. I devoured this book in one short sitting. I hate when I do that. The book is so good that I read faster and faster, then I'm mad when it is done cause I read it so fast. Thankfully, evil was thwarted and love prevailed. I do so love a happy ending. I'm a little sappy that way. So if you are looking for a book about demons with a little reincarnation thrown in, check this book out.
