Jackson knows Rebecca isn't a girl anymore. He's watched her grow into a gorgeous young woman and he's tried to convince himself he shouldn't want her this way. He is an accomplished businessman with an adult daughter and dating her friend would be frowned upon by most of the people in their lives. Yet, he's about to cross the line anyway.
A kiss in the kitchen turns into a full-blown secret romance, hidden from everyone. As the pair get closer, they begin to realize their feelings run deeper than just a lustful crush. The couple will have to decide how to let the cat out of the bag because they can't hide their relationship forever if they stand a chance at having a future together.
I have a thing for the forbidden love trope but I have to say that I haven't read many books with the daughter or son's best friend theme. The hidden love affair in this novella was steamy, to say the least. Our couple can't keep their hands off each other and their passion is evident from the first scene. It's a nicely written erotica with well-rounded characters.
I expected this to be a dirty read and it definitely was, but there was also an emotional side to the story that I hadn't anticipated. Rebecca has some serious issues in her life that she needs to work out and Jackson seems to give her the confidence she needs to make some tough decisions. They were good for each other.
The age difference didn't bother me, but if you aren't a fan of older men with younger women, this isn't the book for you. That much should be clear from the title alone. There is a little bit of dishonesty happening here, which goes hand-in-hand with the forbidden love theme, but there is a happy ending.

Sam Crescent is the queen of curvy girl romances and this is more proof that she has no plans to give up the title. Rebecca is a refreshing heroine, she's young but she knows what she wants. She is such a caring person to those she loves almost fierce in her protection of them. Her relationship with her best friend and her employees is a pleasure to see. Then there is the side of her that lets her parents make her so unhappy. I loved how she just went for what she wanted, if only we all could have the strength to do that. In short she is a wonderfully authentic woman who happens to be curvy and she's good with that. Jackson Reed loves her curves and seeing him struggle with his attraction to his daughter's best friend was both entertaining and enlightening. He was a little intense for me but absolutely perfect for Rebecca. I enjoyed the evolution of their relationship throughout the story, how they faced the hurdles and how everything was far from easy or perfect. This was another story full of heat and heart and I recommend you pick it up, you won't be disappointed.
The Story: As an adolescent Rebecca had a crush on her best friend's father, but now she's all grown up and she wants him now even more than ever. When the heat between them turns up they decide to keep things quiet not knowing how his daughter will react. But do they have what it takes to have e real relationship?

We first met these characters in a previous book by this author, The Enemy's Daughter and it was also nice to see Bella and Alaric from that great read return to feature in this story. However the main focus of this great story is Jackson a powerful, sexy, older business man and a beautiful, strong, independent woman named Rebecca who also happens to be his daughter's best friend. There is an undeniable attraction between the two that may not of always been there for Jackson, Rebecca has always had a crush on her best friends sexy father. But now Jackson has realised that Rebecca is not a little girl anymore and notices what a beautiful woman she has grown into. No matter how much he tries to deny the spark between them it becomes an impossible task the closer they grow. I loved how this story developed and how their relationship blossomed and as always the story was packed with passion and romance just what we like. Well done Sam on another great read! Happy Reading!

Every time I read a Sam Crescent book I am never disappointed. Ever. With this book she has actually surpassed my expectations !! This is a beautifully written novel. I loved it from beginning to end. I could not put it down !!! I love Jackson and adore Rebecca !!! Sam's writing is hot and sexy with just the right amount of awww to pull your heartstrings and leave you smiling long after the last page.

I was curious about Rebecca and Jacksom from The Enemy's Daughter. Which is another book you need to add to your TBR, if you haven't read it yet. So, I'm glad that Rebecca and Jackson got their own story to tell. It was sweet to see connection between them becoming stronger with each day. Rebecca's girl crush becoming something much more. And Jackson finding something, he thought he would never have. I loved how Jackson was possessive and loving with Rebecca.
This was really good dirty, sexy and a little taboo story with no dramas.

The hidden love affair in this novella was steamy, to say the least. Our couple can't keep their hands off each other and their passion is evident from the first scene. It's a nicely written erotica with well-rounded characters.\r\n\r\n I expected this to be a dirty read and it definitely was, but there was also an emotional side to the story that I hadn't anticipated. Rebecca has some serious issues in her life that she needs to work out and Jackson seems to give her the confidence she needs to make some tough decisions. They were good for each other.\r\n\r\n The age difference didn't bother me, but if you aren't a fan of older men with younger women, this isn't the book for you. That much should be clear from the title alone. Her relationship with her best friend and her employees is a pleasure to see. Then there is the side of her that lets her parents make her so unhappy. I loved how she just went for what she wanted, if only we all could have the strength to do that. In short she is a wonderfully authentic woman who happens to be curvy and she's good with that. Jackson Reed loves her curves and seeing him struggle with his attraction to his daughter's best friend was both entertaining and enlightening. He was a little intense for me but absolutely perfect for Rebecca. I enjoyed the evolution of their relationship throughout the story, how they faced the hurdles and how everything was far from easy or perfect. This was another story full of heat and heart and I recommend you pick it up, you won't be disappointed.\r\n\r\nThe Story: As an adolescent Rebecca had a crush on her best friend's father, but now she's all grown up and she wants him now even more than ever. No matter how much he tries to deny the spark between them it becomes an impossible task the closer they grow.
