Killer of Kings, 3

He's a killer. She's raising his son. He's coming back for both of them.

June's used to living life in survival mode. With no family support or husband, it's been up to her to raise her ten-year-old son on her own. It's not easy, especially when she has a living reminder of the only man she ever loved. But that asshole walked out on her without warning, leaving her brokenhearted and pregnant. When he reappears back into her life a decade later, she's no longer a naive young girl, and not ready to throw herself into his arms—no matter how tempting that might be.

Killian's biggest regret in life is falling in love on the job. It wasn't supposed to happen, and the only honorable thing he could do was walk away. Everything he'd told June was a lie, and she deserved better than a hitman for hire. When they cross paths years later, he's blindsided when he discovers he's a father. It's a challenge to earn June's love and trust after the lies and disappearing act, but he's not letting her go this time. He'll prove to her in more ways than one that she's his woman. When an unknown threat puts a hit out on Killian's new family, the Irish assassin is ready to send them all to hell in the name of love.

Excerpt:

When the bed dipped beside June, she jumped out, gasping. She held her hands into fists, ready to hurt anyone who came near her.
“It’s me, baby. It’s me,” Killian said.
“Killian?”
“Yes. It’s me. There’s no one else around. It’s just me.”
“Thank God!” She jumped on the bed, and threw her arms around his neck. “I thought you were dead. I thought that something bad had happened to you because I didn’t get to go to Boss.”
The moment he touched her, she moaned in a good way. Ten years without his touch, and she was desperate to feel his hands on her.
“Nothing can happen to you,” she said. “Do you hear me? Nothing.”
“I won’t let anything happen to me, baby. I promise. I love you so much.” He breathed her in, and she closed her eyes.
“Does Bain know you’re here?”
“Yeah, he nearly shot one of my nuts off. He’s so damn bad at times.”
“Don’t try to make a joke. I can’t handle a joke right now.”
“Hey.” He cupped her chin. “Everything is going to be okay. I promise.” He pressed a kiss to her lips, and she felt like she was drowning. Her pussy was on fire, and she craved his touch more than her next breath.
When she made to push him to the bed, Killian took control, and pressed her against the mattress. He moved between her thighs, and she gasped. His cock was hard as he thrust it against her core.
“I just wanted to hold you.”
“I want you to make love to me, Killian. Please.” She tugged on his shirt, and as he began to take clothes off her body, she did the same with him, needing his bare skin next to hers.
When they were both naked, Killian kissed her once again, only this time he didn’t linger on her lips. He kissed to her neck, then to breasts, sucking one nipple and then the other. She arched up as the sensation of his lips on her tits went straight to her clit.
“Your body is fucking beautiful, baby. So beautiful.”
Down his lips went, stroking over her stomach before going to her mound. He held her legs spread, and then his tongue slid between her slit. He stroked her clit, gliding down to plunge inside her.
He held the lips of her pussy open, and when she glanced down, he was staring up at her.
“You taste so good.”
“Oh, wow, you feel amazing,” she said. “You’re so good at this.”
“I could live between your legs.”
When he thrust his tongue again inside her, she cried out. It felt great, but she needed his big cock so much more. They had been apart for too long, and they were making up for lost time. Their feelings for each other were the same, but now it was more, deeper. She had no idea she could feel this way about anyone, especially not for Killian.
“I love you, baby,” he said. “I want you to come on my tongue.”
She fisted the blankets beneath her, and as he circled her clit, stroking over the highly sensitive bud, she couldn’t control her orgasm, or prolong it. She hurtled straight to that beautiful place of raw bliss, crying out his name, and giving him everything he ever wanted.
The pleasure rushed through her body, leaving her panting.
Before she had finished, Killian moved over her. She saw him quickly roll on a rubber, and then he was inside her—deep and hard. He took hold of her hands, pressing them above her head as he slammed every inch of his dick to the hilt.
They both groaned.
“You’re all mine. All fucking mine.”

The TBR Pile

The love of June’s life walks out on her pregnant and heartbroken. She learned a harsh lesson and when that asshole returns she refuses to be anything but angry. Killian is on the job when he falls in love with June. His past a lie but sometime later he finds her and his child. This Irish assassin had no idea he had a kid, let alone one with the woman he fell for completely. Can he change her mind? Will he get a second chance? I went into this book immediately hating Killian. Judging? Yes. I hate the fact that he left her and yes, I know it was to protect her. Let me just say, by the end of the book, I love Killian. I understood why he did what he did. He’s an assassin but it’s always the criminals and creeps. Now, I’m feeling a bit bad about judging him so harshly in the beginning. This is a fabulous, sweet, sexy, dark story about Killian finding his happy ending. June is naive when she thought Killian would be hers forever, that quickly changes when he walks out on her. My heart broke for her. Raising her child, dejected, trying to move on (hugging my kindle). The story plays out beautifully. From hate to tolerating to like to love and then the danger kicks in. Romance, suspense and talented authors makes this a five-star combination! Charming Asshole is completely charming and a total must read!

Stacey Espino and Sam Crescent keep the action going with the latest release in their Killer of Kings series. Killian might be a man but he has a set of his own set of morals that he strictly adheres to. As his distant and recent past is revealed his characteristics becomes more and more valid and understandable. June is a sweet, but tired woman. She is a single-minded single-mother and seeing her try so hard to make a good life for her son with her limited resources made me both happy and sad. Upset about her situation but hopeful knowing she would find a way to make things better. This series does such a fantastic job of taking these scandalously, notorious killers and showcasing them as heroes, full of heat and heart as well as the prolific hunters they are. The storyline is a solid one that admittedly had me grimacing at moments as well as near sobbing at others. This story was like a roller coaster ride and I was so happy to catch up with characters from the previous stories. If you are looking for a story that is not only entertaining but thought provoking this is a good choice. It's passionate and provoking and if you're like me you'll become completely immersed. The Story: Killian might be a killer, a damn good one but he only takes out men as far as he's concerned women and children are definitely off limits. When he discovers he has a son and someone has put out a hit on the mother and child he must not only keep them safe for the present but convince them he will do so for the rest of their lives.

Kera Faire has lept on to the scene with her Dark Isle romance series. It has certainly given me a whole new view of pigs. But while it’s a darker incarnation of her alter ego Raven McAllan, it still has quite a few tongue-in-cheek moments and memorable characters. Writing a character that is an assassin that you ultimately end up falling in love with takes true talent. I know I remarked in one of Kera’s other reviews that I sometimes needed to look up the scottish lingo. She’s been awesome enough this time to smartly insert the meanings to the less-known words. In this book, we get to meet Darke’s boss, even Crabtree’s boss. Not only is he a hottie, but he can build one heck of a playroom. His love interest is Dori or Mason, or is it Doris Mason? (Doris? Is that YOU?) Both Dori and The Carpenter get called to the Dark Isle and they all have a huge reason to worry. Trust me, you want to read this right up to the end. Kera just blew me out of the water with "The Carpenter"!

Best Book of All 3
Written by Sausha21 on 1st Aug 2017

I've read the entire series and I loved this one the most. A great mix of story, sex, and violence. Also, had a bit of suspense. When Killian met that cop in th diner. Best scene EVER! I cracked up at Killians exchange. Would love to see if Boss could get a lady though. Would love it if he got a book. Someone should be able to obtain the unobtainable.

Absolutely loved Killlian and June; I loved how Killian did my hesitate to take responsibility for his son and letting June know that he has always loved only her. These are hard men who love even harder. I cannot wait until the next book in this series.

#KillerOfKingsFan! #TeamKillian!
Written by Francesca - Mrs Kissmas! on 1st Aug 2017

To say I am a fan of The Killer Of Kings Series is an understatement! This series continues to go from strength to strength with every book and I cannot get enough of them! Even though you can read these stories as a standalone I highly suggest that you start this series from book 1 to fully appreciate its awesomeness that is strong, sexy men who can handle themselves and watch as they each fall for the woman meant to be theirs! This series is perfection! So book three is about Killian, the Irish Rogue who is Boss' right hand man. When he is alone all he think is about the love he left behind a lifetime ago. It is 10 years since he has seen June and when he returns to where they met he is astounded at what he finds out! Not only is his woman still there but so is the son he never knew he had. I loved that Killian takes responsibility for his actions, admits that by trying to do what he thought was right all those years ago was the biggest regret of his life and now he vows to set everything right and claim the family that is his and was always meant to be! It was written with great intrigue mixed in as they have outside threats to deal with as they try to rebuild their relationship. It is a story packed with action, violence, humour, passion, twists and turns and above all love. And also appearances by previous heroes from the other books that we all know and love! It was a fantastic addition to a great series and I cannot wait for Shadow and Chains' story along with more members of The Killers Of Kings we are yet to meet. But what is expected to be the ultimate read will be Boss' story when he meets the woman that brings him to his knees. That will be a great read I have no doubt. This book however is a must read in my opinion. You wont be disappointed! Happy Reading!

And he went back to the place that he was last happy, and also to check up on the women ...
Written by Fay on 26th Jul 2017

I Voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book So another one bites the dust... What is Boss going to do? He's running out of killers, lol Killian was Boss's right hand man. But unlike Boss he has some morals, that include no killing of women and children. So after what happened with Bain and his women, Killian decided to take some time off. And he went back to the place that he was last happy, and also to check up on the women he loves. Thinking that June is happy and has a better life than what he gave her, he finds out it is anything but that. June met a guy and fell in love and thought that he dreams would come true, but then he leaves and she finds out that she is pregnant. She loses her scholarship, her parents kick her out and now she's living in a one bedroom flat with her son, Killian's son and working two jobs to make ends meat. So when Killian suddenly appears back in her life and bringing danger with him, how can she trust a man who lied to her and just disappeared. It's not just herself she has to look after she has a son now that depends on her, a son who is a bit wild and needs his mother. I enjoyed this story, June was an okay character for me, thought after everything she has been through she would be more badass, a stronger person. But I didn't get that impression. I loved Killian though, bad ass and doing whatever it takes to protect his family. I'm hoping the next one is Boss's story. Cause somehow I want to hate him, but then he does something and just makes you think that maybe he's not so bad after all.

TEAMKILLIAN
Written by Ms Dan on 20th Jul 2017

Ok I'm addicted to the men who are the Killer of Kings. It started with Viper then there was Bain and now Killian. OMG I'm in love. Every story is full of suspense, violence, freaking awesome SEX, and just plain good alpha males. This story centers around Killian and his past with a woman named June. Not to give too much away but he met June on an assignment ten years ago and after the kill left her without saying a word. Heart broken June moved on. Fast forward you find out about Killian's life as a child which wasn't great. A mistake made in the past puts June in danger. Killian meets June and there's a surprise that changes his life. His mistake on that kill ten years ago causes a lot of damage and some wtf moments. Trust me if ur looking for an awesome suspense story this is it for you. If you haven't already I suggest you jump on the bandwagon that is the Killer of Kings. I think the next is going to be about Shadow but I know eventually Boss is gonna get bitten by Cupid and I can't wait.

GOOD
Written by Neringa on 18th Jul 2017

Another member of Killer of Kings is down. Brought to his knees by mere girl. Again. I don't think Boss is happy about it. Or maybe he is a little jealous of his men's luck? Who knows. With each book I'm more and more curious about Boss. I want to take him apart piece by piece and to see what's it's hiding inside this deadly man. But lets talk about our main couple. June was a little disappointment. I understand she isn't used to Killians lifestyle, but I think common sense should have lead her to use her brain more, then just panic and react without thinking. I don't say that June wasn't tough girl, she just wasn't tough for Killer of Kings lifestyle. Fighting off d***s isn't the same as fighting off monsters. I loved Killian. Yes, he made bad choice then years ago, but I guess his view of himself, his insecurieties got the best of him. But the way Killian was when he meet his girl again and found out about his son.... That was priceless. The one thing I was unhappy about was, that he was too hothead sometimes. He needed to be colder, like a killer, instead of a man in love. I'm looking forward for next book, hoping this time it will be Boss time. But I don't think I should hold my breath. That man still wants to keep his secrets to himself.
