Her gaze moved from one to the other with an expectant look on her face. Her eyes rested on Jack when he leaned forward to rest his arms on the table. His beer was between his big hands and she watched his fingers trace the drops of condensation as they raced down the bottle.

She swallowed. Hard. “Us? What do you mean?”
“The three of us. There’s more going on between us than just work.” His words held a note of conviction.
Oh God! He said three. He definitely said three. They couldn’t possibly know that she wanted both of them, could they? How the hell had she given that away? She thought she’d been so professional with them.
“Stop panicking, Ellie. Nothing we say or do from now on will affect our plans for the restaurants.” Nate’s calming words helped to some extent, but she still hadn’t taken her eyes off Jack. He was watching her like he expected her to run at any moment. He looked like he’d enjoy chasing her down and catching her too.
“I don’t understand…”
“We want you, Ellie. We need to know if you feel the same way,” Jack stated.
“We? What does that mean? I…both of you? But…”
“Yes. We want you. We need to know if you feel the same. Would you be prepared to be with us both?”
How was she supposed to respond to that? Nothing in her limited experience with men had prepared her for this conversation. She couldn’t see how anything good—well, apart from the sex—was going to come from this. How were they supposed to juggle working together, fucking, and being in a threesome? She wanted to though, so badly. Oh God, just the thought of having both of them.
But she just couldn’t risk it. What would happen when it was over? How could they possibly remain friends and work together? She’d be completely alone again if she had to leave. “I get that, but when did running away solve anything? We’re all adults here. If she doesn’t want this, all she has to do is say no.”

Jack’s arm held her firmly around her middle while his other hand rested on her hip. Her heart was still trying to beat its way out of her chest, but she couldn’t ignore the heat emanating from his body. The hand on her hip kept gently, rhythmically flexing and releasing. She started to relax as she quietly listened to their words.
She could hear the anxiety in both their voices and felt a rush of guilt at how she’d reacted. She was such a naive idiot—but she’d beat herself up for that later. Right now, she needed to make things right with the two most important men in her life.
“I’m sorry,” she said softly. “I’m an idiot. I shouldn’t have tried to run off like that.”
“Jesus, don’t apologize, Ellie.” Nate reached across the table to take her hand. “It’s ok that you don’t want this. We’ll carry on and forget we ever mentioned it. Nothing needs to change—”
“I want it,” she whispered.
I had never read anything by this author before so I was going into this book with open eyes and an eagerness to find a new author. the blurb is what caught my eye as well as the stunning cover but I failed to connect with the book I did like the characters but it felt so rushed and then when I got to the end I see to be continued........ it frustrated so much.
This was a quick book that packed a lot of steamy scenes… Ellie is in love with her two bosses and doesn’t know they love her too… When they finally come together it’s explosive but once the clouds of lust have evaporated doubt sets in for Ellie. She doesn’t want this sexual relationship to ruin her friendship with Jack and Nate or their professional careers. Finding a balance will be the only way to make it work for them all… I give this 3 diamonds and can’t wait to see if they find the balance they need to make it work…
Sexy stuff! I thoroughly enjoyed sharing the frustrations of Nate, Jack and especially Ellie in the build up to their three-way 'partnership' coming to fruition. The highly charged, erotic descriptions are what Black does best but there's a loving sensitivity as well as the naughtiness, which really appeals to me. I am newbie to this genre and was inspired to read her first novel after reading Black's weekly blog. I was interested to see if a master of the vignette could pull off (sexual innuendo intended) a much longer piece, and she has exceeded my expectations! I can't wait for the next installment!
From the first time I was lucky enough to run across one of Rebecca Black’s short stories, I knew she was something special and when I heard her debut novel was approaching, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I very much enjoyed A Taste For Three. Chef Ellie is in a good place, settled and happy, working in a great restaurant. Just two small problems. She wants not one but both of her bosses. Unbeknownst to her, Jack and Nate would be more than happy to oblige. Nothing could go wrong there, right. I liked that Ellie took some time and thought the situation through from all sides, even though she was hot for both Nate and Jack, especially after their first little taste test, at the restaurant, which was hot hot hot BTW. In so many erotic tales, the characters just jump right and get down and dirty, consequences be damned. I enjoyed the realism along with the heat. The contrast in leading men was also intriguing. Once all the cards are on the table, Jack is quite plainly panting after Ellie and chomping at the bit, while Nate is more practical even though, he too wants to seal the deal just as badly. You have to give A Taste For Three a try, you won’t believe this is Ms. Black’s first foray into the publishing world, she writes as if she’s a seasoned pro. Her sensual descriptiveness is second to none and will leave you squirming in your seat. Mark my words, Rebecca Black is one to watch.

That basically sums up how this novella starts out. Ellie is a top chef working alongside her friends Jack and Nate, the owners of L’Etoile and the soon to open restaurant La Luna. Not only are they great chefs themselves but they are two yummy men. Ellie thinks her feelings for them are mutual but knows that work relationships, especially with your boss, are a really bad idea. If they don’t work out, you’re the one who has to leave and she loves her job way too much for that. Little does she know that Jack and Nick have indeed mutual feelings. In fact, as they have participated in a ménage previously, that is what they desire to have with her but worry about how she might receive such an invitation. When they finally ask her, she agrees and ooh baby! That restaurant has never served it up so spicy! The question is, can it last? I loved reading this. Ms. Black did a great job describing things in short order whether it was Jack’s body, the threesome’s friendship or their hot, kinky sex. She gave Ellie, Jack and Nate a distinct personality and they were all people I would like. I loved Ellie’s connections to food and her Grandmother. Jack’s just the right amount of rough around the edges and bossy for me. Nate was the organized, more cerebral one with hair to run my fingers through. I also appreciated that the heroine didn’t just decide automatically that becoming a threesome would be okay. She used her brain and not just her body even though that’s what her body wanted. I found this to be really well written and would recommend it easily.
A spectacular, sexy debut from an author that is now on my 'read anything they write' list! This novella had me enthralled from the very first page. Ellie is a strong, fiercely independent lady who I instantly warmed to. She works alongside two very hot, successful men who run their own restaurants. Ellie has been lusting over them both for a while but doesn't want to jeopardise her career. Nate and Jack have their own ideas and finally decide that it's time Ellie has a taste of them and vice versa. The tension between the three is written cleverly and the build up is exquisite torture. This is an absolutely great little novella from the lovely Rebecca Black ....and her first! Cooking has always been a huge part of Ellies life and something she finds great comfort in, so when she was given the opportunity of working as a chef at E'Toile, she jumped at the chance. Nate and Jack were her best friends and her bosses - and both as hot as hell, so she tried hard to ignore the constant lucid thoughts running through her head. Besides, she had been celibate for the whole year she'd worked there and she could handle it ....or so she thought! Many a day she'd spend lusting after her bosses, watching how they moved and imagining the fun she could have with both of them. Little did she realise that both Jack and Nate were fighting similar feelings, only now they felt it was time to act on them. They approach Ellie and offer her a proposition, one which would hopefully satisfy all three of their needs, but would Ellie go for it? I have to say that this only took me a few hours to read as I was gripped almost from the off. Rebecca has a great writing style and expertly draws the reader in. Although this is only a short novella, the characters are cleverly brought to life and you're given real understanding of their situation. I found myself really warming to Ellie and it was great having a little background knowledge to better understand her feelings. The sex scenes are sensual yet dirty which I absolutely loved. Rebecca, I applaud you on making me gasp ...it's not an easy thing to do but hey, you managed it! Overall a great read and one that will make you squirm on the edge of your seat!
